I don't know about the rest of the group, but Larry Blackmon was from Harlem and now lives in Atlanta. I met the Troutman brother's and one of their son's along with Shirley Murdock back in the mid 80's in Anacostia Park in D.C. The Troutman brothers offered me and my friend Dee Dee if we wanted to come and hang out with them at the after party, I respectfully declined because I didn't like the way they were looking at me LOL. They wanted us to hop in the camper. My friend wanted to hang out with them, but I couldn't drive her car back home because it was a stick. It's so sad what happened to the brother's they were a legend. All over drugs.
I remember seeing them live performing this song when I was about 8 years old in fairground park (St Louis MO) there was no shooting no fighting just black folks gathering having a good time. Lord I miss those days.

Decades ago, I have been waiting for hours and hours for Cameo to finally perform live on stage in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), they were very, very late....was and I still am a huge fan.
The actor playing Debbi Morgan's boyfriend here (Tom Wright) was also on "All My Children" during the time period of the video. He played the brother of Jesse Hubbard (Darnell Williams).
