They act as cores but if you lose all you cores you lose
Meaning if you have an explosive barrel, but no reactors, you lose.
Imagine being guards a Area 51 and all the sudden the people raiding the base start shooting bullets from their knees

That was a magnet beam, when it is destroyed it releases the same beam that it fires. The explosive barrels can be used as mini cores, just without extra energy production.
I'm loving the Good old forts gameplay.
The shots from a modern artillery have so much recoil that the artillery needs to have support in order not to be displaced from their position
(It would end up crashing the helicopter)

The red barrel's is like the reactor but instead if you lose ur reactor you lose but the red barrel can still be like act like a reactor so that's why the Chinook's can still operate whitout a reactor because they don't have any.
I would like to see a map where a reactor would be held on by a peice of wood or metal and you could drop it like a bomb on the enemy base
