Have we finally found the Doncic stopper? Lu Dort hounded Luka all over the court, tiring him down which resulted in these forced and contested stepbacks. Look at this, he’s literally glued to him, everywhere you go I go as well. Doncic had a rough shooting night to say the least, as he went 1 for 8 from downtown, that’s only 12.5% and a total of 6 for 19 from the field. Even on the rare occasions when he scored, he had to work pretty hard just to get the shot off. But, Luka’s struggles didn’t end there, as he turned the ball over 5 times, awarding the Thunder some easy transition points. Doncic finished the game with a modest statline of 19 points and 9 assists. This reminded me of the absolute horror that Lu caused on Brandon Ingram in the previous series.
However, the Mavs were right in this thing, as they used this 9-0 run early in the 3rd quarter to cut the halftime deficit to just 1 point.
But, right out of the timeout OKC responded with a bang. They went on a 14-4 run blitzing the Mavs with stifling defense and a 3PT barrage.
SGA was the main offensive weapon for the Thunder in this period, as he scored 10 of his 29 points total, to go along with 9 boards and 9 assists. It was all business for him in this game, as he got to his usual spots, snaking through the defense and when he saw an open teammate, he made the right play. It’s really stunning to see a 25 year old being so mature both on and off the court as well.
In the 4th OKC continued sharing the ball and finding the best possible shots, as first we saw Chet doing some damage on Dallas, firing up the home crowd.
And then, it was J Dub’s turn to deliver the final blow, as he scored 10 consecutive points for the Thunder to make it a 17 point game and send the arena into a frenzy.
On the other side, Kyrie tried to keep the Mavs in the game during the 2nd half scoring 14 points, but it was too little too late, as OKC took a 1-0 lead and I gave this one a 6.0 on RateGame, as much as a 22 point win can get really.
Moving on to Boston where the Celtics took control of the game right from the start, despite their top dog not really showing up in this one. At least scoring wise.
Tatum started the game settling for contested shots, and tough threes, going 4 for 12 in the first half. Now Jaylen Brown however, he definitely showed up.
Brown was hail bent on getting to the rim and to his spots for some easy shots, and boy he was unstoppable.
By halftime, he already had 20 points and it was clear that Jaylen decided that he was going to punish the matchup.
The Celtics had a 10 point lead pretty much throughout the entire game, up until the 4th quarter when they really stepped on the gas pedal.
The lead quickly ballooned to 20 and put the game away as there wasn’t any doubt at any point in this one honestly.
Just think about it: The main weapon is having a bad shooting game going 7 for 19 from the field for just 18 points and the team is coasting to a playoff win. Sure, he did other things like grabbing 11 rebounds and 5 assists, but also Jaylen Brown took on the scoring load and finished with 32 points. Then, guys like Derrick White also coming up huge in the second half for 25 points overall, and even Payton Pritchard dropping 16 points, this team is far too superior for the Cavs in this matchup and I’m afraid that the following games could look similar to this one.
Now, if I don’t expect any surprises here, on the contrary I was shocked by what happened in game 2 between Minnesota and Denver, where Anthony Edwards once again did things that made him look exactly like MJ, and after this, he’s never beating the allegations.
You gotta check out exactly what happened right here. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out. - Спорт
Luka is playing through injury... I'm pretty sure an objective basketball fan of your caliber should at least mention that
He forgot about that, but he didn't forget about mentioning that app which no one uses haha
He’s on the court though. No excuses.
Get off the court to have an excuse. You’re a liability if you’re injured. Luka is hurting his team reinforces why he wasn’t mentioned.
@@minecrafttorch2127People do use it.
Sga better than luka just dint have to do as much cause he trust the coach and his teammates

Gonna be à good series !

That was deliberately done by dort. Just like the sga kick to the nuts. 7 over th3 back fouls by chet not called. Welcome to mr silvers matchfixing😂

the luka doncic stopper is a knee injury
luka averaged 32 on dort this season
idk about Dort as the “Luka stopper”. Luka has been underwhelming pretty much all playoffs.
Id say mostly his percentages, his 3s arnt falling, otherwise I"m finding him to be "normal" Luka.

Luka without a sprained knee in his last 5 games against Dort: 35/11/11. The only “Luka stopper” is his own body and decision-making through injury.
You’re clickbait.
He should have stopped him in game 2😂😂😂😂 lol Luka stopper😂
Does hand check rules goes off at playoffs?
Calling Lu Dort the "Luka stopper" is a bit far-fetched considering Luka's knee issue. Dort deseves his credit, but Luka's bad knee does make things a bit easier for Dort.
This should have just been a picture of Luka's injured knee. Lu Dort is not stopping Luka. Luka's knee is stopping Luka.
Excuses so if he would have scored 40 nobody would talk about him beeing injured now he plays bad he's injured smh
@@bigsyke1000 No, we would have been astounded he could pull something like that off while being injured. If a player who has been BETTER in the playoffs during his career suddenly has 1 facet of his game completely drop off (3-point shooting) right when he has an injury, and that facet has carried over through 2 different opponents (Clippers and Thunder), we can safely say it is the injury, not the defender/opponent. No excuses. He didn't perform. Thunder won fair and square, but Dort had next to no impact on that.

How long was kawhi always being injured?
I agree about luka getting crapped on but Kawhi has gotten even more unfair criticism than Luka in his career.
You can now change the narrative; Dort could not handle Luka. He is trying to seriously injure him.
where is your mind, Luka is playing injured, many nba basketball stars would rest for a week or two, but Luka wants to help the team and miraculously someone was found who can stop him .. what an expert
remember they did the same thing vs the clippers in game 1. This was a feel out game for him probably.
theyre trying to injure luka on top of his injury and he just dropped 29 on dort. luka stopper who?😂😂😂
I haven't seen anyone in 6 years stop him. That man is being affected by injury
can you please bring back the actual analytical basketball videos? all these videos are just updates of the previous nights games...prefer watching AM hoops
Luka owned Dort everytime until then. Luka just been playing thru injury
Yeah, everybody is a Luka stopper, till Luka says enough! We'll see
Doncic and Murray are both below their standards all playoffs. Both are playing through injury.
It sucks, but it happens
It is as simple as that!
Luka is injured but also respects Dort a lot.
According to Luka, Dort is one of the 3 best perimeter defenders in the league.
Luka was avaragine 35 10 and 11 in the last 5 games against dort. Safe to say Dort is not a Luka stopper LMAO

Luka stopper 😂
This video aged well…
Lu Dort used to completely shut James Harden down in every single one of their matchups. Luka despite being greater than Harden ever was, has such a similar type of play style. Both players relies on using pace, size, strength, and their step backs. Lu Dort usually has more difficulty guarding shifty, quick, and explosive players.
I don't understand why there are so many Luka haters. He has saved this franchise after Dirk.
I dont think he did any better than terrence mann. Luka still got his spots, the shots were not falling tho. Clearly affected by injury, no need to act like barking around like pet bav is effective
Sadly, Dort is gonna end up being a trivia question on NBA TV right before game time goes to commercial. " name the player dubbed the next defensive all-time great that played for the thunder during the 2023-24 season"
Can’t wait for Denver vs wolves want to see if Murray will still be crying and throw a chair next.
If you sit out , 'oh he's never available ' and if you play through injury and cant be yourself, 'excuses'.. damned if you do and damned if you don't..
The guy is injured if he was 100 percent he would make Dort his son.
Luka stopper right 😂
OKC vs Dallas game 1 was epic.
This video didn't age well.
better keep this energy up in Dallas
Even if Luka wasnt injured, hes still playing the same way as if he was injured

This did not aged well.
I can't believe you saying that when Luka is playing hurt and instant Luka stopper. Its so obvious he isn't playing like he usually does because of the injury.
From what I can remember he was also called the Harden stopper before during the bubbles.
Luka is playing with one leg only brother. Nobody can stop an healthy Luka.
Even though, I think the next games we will see that even 1 legged Luka is unstoppable if he wants (like he shown in game 5 against the clippers)
I've barely seen anyone mention this or talk about it but I genuinely think THJ is only gonna hold us back now that hes back in
Maybe. That and not playing Gafford more.
I want the finals to be Knicks vs. Okc... the dogfight will be epic.
Did you watch game 2?
Man, I'm disappointed that you did not mention the fact that Luka is playing through injury. You can tell that he's really bothered. So, for someone of your standards, I wouldn't expect this kind of video.

OKC and Twolves bringing back the importance of defence.
People forget how good he was against James harden. When he was still on the rockets
After game 2 it’s not the “dortchamber” it’s the “torturechamber” after Luka cooked him up
The Thunder’s best decision was to only play Giddey 17 minutes. Ideally they should cut it to 0 and trade him in the offseason
That's the thing with Tatum, always finds ways to impact the game, not only play making, boxing out, smart defense. Gives him more than an edge over Brown... way more important than scoring edge me
0:15 ran straight into the pick... bad defense... ;)
It's not the first Luka-stopper, Wiggings did the job and others did it in the previous playoff series.
I'm also faster than Usain Bolt, after he's been shot in the kneecap.
Was the mavs defense good last round or were the clippers that bad? It could also just be OKC being that good, but the mavs made so many defensive mistakes JDub would do the slightest jab step to send guys 4 steps back or pump fake to have dudes flying over him like hes steph out there it was like the mavs gambled on everything.

Glad we finally found a Luka stopper. I’m surprised the Thunder never thought of putting their best defender on Luka before or else he could have been stopping him for all these years. Or maybe it’s that Luka is injured. 😂
Man was getting bodied falling all over the floor and catching fouls in game 2 . LOL
Let’s calm down everyone. Luka was practically playing on 1 leg this entire game
OKC tearing those 3 point all night. MAVS will bounce back for sure
"Luka stopper" is too much of a reach. The biggest thing stopping Luka right now is his injured knee and he hasn't shot the 3 ball well in this playoffs at all Lu Dort or not.
lol it’s not Dort whose causing Luka issues, it’s Chet. His rotations are causing Luka issues and he can sit behind for help while Dort can play the hip rather than in front. Mavs will need to attack Chet & get him into foul trouble which is so hard because the kid is textbook
No, but us Thunder fans know Lu is a great defender
wtf is wrong in this playoffs, refs just letting players grab people with both arms from behind.
luka has been shooting like that all playoffs. so maybe clippers also found a luka stopper?
