You need to get my dad to tell the history of that car for one of your videos. He is so low key and doesn't get the recognition he deserves. I've been telling him for years to get a sponsor and get back into racing but it's just a hobby for him now.
Glad you found this video Scott! Yes I host a podcast as well and would love to sit down and talk history with your Dad. Although I've honestly been afraid to ask because I really respect his time and he is an intimidating guy!
He is intimidating, even to me, and has a tight schedule. You should ask worst he can say is no, but I'm sure he would love to sit town and talk about it. That 86 is like my brother and he has got tons of stories about it. He had to get pipe insulation for the roll bar because I hit my head on it while in a car seat back when it was his daily. Just the autocross stories would be awesome to hear on a podcast.

I did not realize how common big port head on small port block was, 16v ftw.
I watched your videos rebuilding a T50 and my 4th gear always pops out, I change the springs that you mentioned but I still have the same problem
Input bearings worn, not shimmed correctly. Clutch issue. Only a tear down and picture would tell for sure
a question to the gearbox expert I have a w59 this gear will help me make my gearbox faster thank you very much
