Gettin’ There was produced by Queensland based Jared Adlam, was co-written with Matt Ramsey and Trevor Rosen; both members of the successful US country outfit, Old Dominion.
After a far from ideal end to 2023 when Adam’s family home burnt to the ground, Brand has penned this track about taking it all in your stride …. ‘if it rains we’ll just dance in it’.
When asked what his secret is to having a positive outlook on life, Brand replied, “Every journey has ups, downs and sideways moments. But for me it’s all about that journey and never about the end destination. Even more importantly, its who you’re on that journey with. I’ll sum it up with the lyrics from the chorus, ’Destination I don’t care. We could wind up anywhere Coz the best part is the Gettin’ There. “
