Animation - «Amerika» - Franz Kafka

Haubenstock-Ramatis Musiktheaterkonzept «Amerika» basiert auf Franz Kafkas gleichnamigem Romanfragment. Kafka, dessen Todestag sich 2024 zum 100. Mal jährt, ahnt darin die grossen Krisen der Moderne voraus und erzählt die Lebensreise eines Karl Rossmann nach Amerika. Wie zufällig begegnet Karl scheinfürsorglichen Verwandten, übergriffigen Frauen, hinterhältigen Kriminellen und autoritären Vorgesetzten und gerät immer tiefer in eine Mechanik aus Hoffnung, Abhängigkeit, Ausnutzung und Verstossung. Karl ist «Der Verschollene», so der ursprüngliche Titel Kafkas

I'm sorry, but... none of Haubenstock-Ramati's music in this clip? Don't be cowards, please. The score is indeed texturally dense and modern, but it's also extremely beautiful... advertising this opera with a cartoon that focuses only on Kafka's novel, sketched out without any of the opera's music, is... well it is not impressive. Please advertise using the opera's music...
