It's another day on the bank targeting urban canal predators, and we haven't been at it for long before security closes in on us again, this time showing up in the form of 3 guards and a dog.
Jay lays out a set of well balanced arguments to highlight the opposition's lack of logic, before we move on to a different stretch of canal where something very unexpected occurs, enriching the day's eventfulness.
There's never a day to come without anything new to experience.

London, a city with high youth crime, and people bother themselves to hassle young people fishing, bonkers.
I was just thinking this! Want to keep kids off drugs keep them busy with a hobby they enjoy.
Yeh I got a fine for 3 grand for attempting to fish when I was 18
@@MrUltimaPro a £3k fine? Didn’t you have a licence ?
@@PegasusBridge1 well at that age id never been fishing before since I was a child so I wasn't aware of a licence ...I took up going fishing as a remembrance thing for my dad I hadn't even got the float on .
They wouldn’t stress the local Bengali youth selling crack and smack
He cant let his dog of as he stated. That would be breaking the law. The threat alone is a criminal offence. I used to be a handler and its drummed into u
The threat is assault
@@williamgates2567 i belive it comes under the dangrouse dogs act. Using ur dog as a weapon or to cause harm. Can’t remember the wording now. Only militey and police can use a dog of lead or to threaten some one. Average joe with a badge 100% cant
None of this shit happened back in the 70's or 80's before London was bought out! F'ing unnecessary drama!!
Since when has fishing been a dirty word or undesirable pastime. Keep kicking arse Juned, proud of you
I dont understand what harm it causes them for you to be fishing.
think its more that hey had they "authority" challenged ha ha
Do they have a Environment Agency licence, even if they do it does not give the right to fish, you still need permission from the landowner, or if its a club you need membership
@@robertedwards-me2vs not on rivers and canals only lakes and a few stretches of northan trout/salmon rivers where both banks and the land under the river are owned very hard to achieve
Great channel! I find two things unbelievable. 1. The fish you catch in these urban areas and 2. The amount grief you get off security and members of the public. If there is one thing I used to like about London was that people tended to mind their own business. Obviously not when it comes to fishing!
If there's a public right of way where you're fishing, you're OK. Only theft of fishing rights is a criminal offense.
Catch and release not having a liscence use of illegal hooks /illegal use of specified line / illegal use of specified bait I mean comes to private lakes those rules are but they arrestable the illegal hooks and liscence and catch and release are a thing for most public fishing places
Love the content man tho I do feel sorry for city anglers don’t really have to put up that sort of crap as much in the countryside
yo i have been watching youre vids for like a year or 2 years bro love youre vids dude keep it up i hope you see this man love you bro keep uploading

Yet another security ledged security guard committing a criminal offence by not having a Blue SIA licence !
just a tip for anyone who catches a pike holding the fish upside from the tail will always open its mouth making hook removal easy
Keep on fishing my friend
Forget Private Property, and Fake no fishing signs, the first thing they should have asked for was Their UK Rod License, or a day Ticket or License to fish that area. Without these they are Fishing Illegally. Then they could move them on.
Welcome to have a fishing trip to Scotland, hundreds of rivers and lochs have different spices. People can fishing any place and no people care, most of people past by will ask you any fish bite because they all like fishing.
You need written permission to fish for Salmon in Scotland, and most rivers also require written permission for Trout.
@@Backs4more yeah definitely
A public right of way does not confer any rights to fish, even if there are no signs. Many years ago when these areas were effectively derelict, nobody really cared whether people fished there or not. Many of the redeveloped waterside areas are now privately owned land, but local authorities include a "public right of way" as part of the planning process, otherwise these places would be gated estates for the wealthy and pedestrians would have to walk round the perimeter to reach the other side. Most docks now have clear no fishing signage.
I was reeling , listening to this !
Trespass is unenforceable bro it's a civil matter not a crown matter just tell em that
You guys are too polite. I would have erupted after 30 seconds.
Where I live in Northumberland your not allowed to fish from a public right away,so maybe applying that rule from the local council will put a stop to you just fishing where u want to this may seem harsh but nowadays people are watching as everything nowadays is abused because of the media
Less swearing and quote more laws to the security...
Get copy of the laws and stand your ground if its public not restricted
The whole 'potential clients from America' argument is frankly baffling.
Ha.......fking clowns, go away we're just fishing.....whats it gotta do with you??
hahahahahaah - went to the tackle shop to spend £3 - spent £30.........always the way man...Have fun fellas :)
bro has the ugly stik gx2 what a solid rod
Easy thing just ignore them until they call the police , but remember the police are not the ENVIRONMENT AGENCY and hold no powers over fishing rights.
Ridicules well done standing your ground 👍
Yo you guys are sick fuck what people say. You should just do a youtube video where when someone starts chatting shit just point blank ignore them and carry on fishing till the filth come that's if they do. Then have a convo with them. 💪👊
It may be private land, but under criminal justice act 1973 , its publicly acceptable by the public, no barriers, sighns or anything. They just try to force there ruels, that are not laws. That is intimidating behaviour bringing an attack dog out too
I don't understand them at all
Not like there's much to 😆
Would of just laughed at them and carried on fishing.
Where is the 10 kg fish?
In this instance, if you are indeed stood on private property, then the security guards would be representing the riparian owner, and would have the right to stop you fishing. I deal with riparian rights for a living.
Always carry a nice heavy priest, when fishing.
You need to stand your ground and make jobsworths prove via land ownership map.
spot the english man
Theft of public property etc is the crime I see
fishing is not a sport,
its a hobby, check the videos out. Don't forget a good walk.....
Its a sport we have an English gold medal team
Hey!! awesome video really enjoyed it i checked some of your other vids and there pretty cool please check out my channel if you

Oh my days . Life is too short . Everytime i see this chamnel its just fighting with people over fishing ??.
Surely just fish a normal stretch of river or rent or buy a boat to get to un ventured places .
All this arguing woth the public over fish ???.
Im a fishing maniac but it just seems such a pain in the arse lol
Iz oboauta ya follws za rulss 🤣little nazis
Honestly go fish somewhere else, the amount of conflict you are causing how can you be enjoying this, it’s going to happen every time at this places.
That dog won’t attack, work dogs have different body language Thas all imma say.
He's an estate officer! translation he's got about as much authority as a lollypop man, apologies to lollipop men and women
Buy a, small inflatable. Once your in the water which they won't own, your laughing
Doesn't work like that 🤣

@@Michael-tq6xm well you need Insurance and to register your boat on the water wether it's a small wooden boat or engine ...trust me I've been fined for fishing out of a inflatable dingy and it was nothing cheap looked like a proper raft ...I mean I'm personally only just payed the 5 grand fine I got for attempting to fish when I was 18 lol...well any river round here a police officer can ask you to come off the water I've only ever been bothered while.im fishing though not when I'm actually rowing ....people just like to ruin your fun sucks balls lol
@Timehhh D4 rightttt
All these immigrants telling you to leave.find that ironic when them came to our country first.just saying …..
Funny how they refuse to call the police, despite that being their favorite threat. Although I have to sympathize with them, their jobs aren’t exactly the most rewarding, and it’s tough when the little authority you have is challenged.
A quick search on the web reveals that you can actually fish there.
The old warehouse building you walked past are owned by the NHS. The guards you met do not have authority over that bit.
Wannabe coppers with zero powers, just lame arguments.
Your mate was epic with his words.
Every angler in the world is like"I just went to get maggots but...".
Mesut Ozil has got time to get himself a part time job as a dog trainer since he's been dropped out arsenal's first squad, it seems.
The worst you are doing is tresspassing which is civil matter and not an offence the police would arrest you for, you could just carry on fishing until the police arrive and then leave peacefully. This would mean you would have these yellow jacketed security muppets giving you hassle until then so its probably best to leave after you've made your point to them. Keep up the pressure with urban fishing boys, it's ridiculous that so much water is being taken away from fishermen in the name of urban development.
Trespassing a couple times in the same spot doing the same thing it jumps hard
But its not trespassing as there is a clear sign that says civilian zone, if that stretch of water is from a river the only people in charge of it is the environment agency
It’s not trespassing, but fishing without permission is an offence. However, if that water is where I think it is, the fishing belongs to the EA and is covered by your rod licence.
They scrapped the trespassing law a few years back. If its a public right of way you can go about your business, as long as you don't break the law
Is that guy a security guard of asda? 😂🤣
Moved out of London during Covid after 8 years. Best thing I ever done. I fly fish most evenings without having to listen to that crap. You can fish in Dublin city and you would never have issues.
Don't acknowledge them, just fish and blatantly ignore them. Even the dog is like FFS let's go
Great channel, it's quite addictive watching people argue about angling. I'd hit em and Chuck them in though.
No you wouldnt. Stop chatting shite
Ive had this a lot and I always escalate things as much as possible 😂😂
always causing trouble you! lmao
Trouble comes to us. We're bothering nobody.
not to be racist, but its crazy to watch an immigrant tell Indigenous Englishmen that they cant fish a river in their homeland. I would've had a much worse reaction . just my 2 cents as a Canadian..
He's French
Officer baahaahaa he’s nothing but a hired twit by a building. He has no right to tell anyone what to do on a public walk way.
I wouldn’t waste 19 seconds of my time arguing with those clueless killjoy 🤡🤡 let alone 19 minutes 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏻♂️
I love debating with security guards, most of them don't understand the law and think they operate above the law, so when you challenge them just quote made up facts and reference them to laws and they get so wound up 😂
It was funny when he pulled his security card out. It’s like having a kids plastic sheriff badge
time you called the police on them, for harrassment.
Half the nationalities of the world telling you not to fish. Wow, mad.
Man you get bothered by everyone there , I am sorry but I would not have listen to them ,obviously they won't call the police or they would have done it already
Beyond ridiculous , how can a couple of geezers innocently fishing creat such bullshit grief . Some people really make me sick . if you were creating anything that was any threat i could understand .
Okay what we have here is two ASDA employees moonlighting as ‘security’ these two would have presented no problem to you had you chosen to employ one of your now vast array of weaponry. The other guy was also not a problem despite the dog. One sniff of a good sausage and that mutt is out of the game. Leaving you free to perform a round house kick to the Adam’s Apple before rolling him into the frigid water inducing a heart attack. Leaving you and your intrepid buddy to fish freely.
Cheers Andy, another meticulously calculated strategy 👌🏻🎣
whoop DeHoop don’t talk about his missus like that😂
its open to the public, it isnt private unless you're in a bulding
To be fair they were pretty polite about it but who gives a shit about their investors coming into the building?! Also an "estate officer" is no higher than a member of public when it comes to enforcing actual laws. You're not comitting an offence but they could have thrown trespassing at you.
What happened at the end with the pike during dark did your filming equipment run out of power ?
That's for you to imagine 🎞
It's weird. If someone was kicking a ball outside my house i wouldn't care. Why would it be any different if someone was fishing? Strange times 😂
Well I mean there's a bigger reason for not kicking balls outside someone's house than there is fishing not really comparable 🤣
What a load of crap. Trespassing to my knowledge is NOT an illegal offence, you can only be asked to leave it's up to you to respect however this area is a public area the only place these lads are not allowed to enter is the buildings themselves. There are also narrow boats on the water proving it is public land and water.
You should ask those security guys if they have the right to be in the U.K..
the yellow jacketed guard thinks he's elite, he's like the working class people who vote for Tories in the belief that they elevate themselves somehow. God forbid 'investors' turn up and are put off by an angler.
people not native to the uk telling uk people what they can and cant do, what the fuck is the uk going to end up like , ,lol
As someone from non uk race i agree.
I’m a bit late to the party I know but still, you really shouldn’t waste your time talking with people like this, you’re letting good fishing time slip through your fingers. If people like this persist in harassing you then you should call the police, as long as you have a current EA rod license and fishing is allowed then these dimwits can push off and mind their own business.
Did you miss the part where it was private property?
Hey police, I'm trespassing on private property and refusing to leave....
@@smolgok384 , did you miss the part where I mentioned people and not property 🙄
@@nononsense3528 they aren't harassing them. They are working on behalf of the property owner.
@@smolgok384 , I don’t know what video you watched but I can clearly see 3 guys harassing 2 other guys for fishing. Neither of us know if fishing is allowed in that particular spot, but that is a matter for the Environment Agency and not some office security guys who seem to think they have authority over them.
As I said in my first comment, if fishing is allowed(and that means allowed by the EA) then those guys are harassing for no reason other than their own self importance.
You guys reasoning way too long with these nutters. You should have cut it short:
1. Land can be private, but that water is not private, it is public water. Water management and fishing regulations falls under the EA's authority. Fishing is not an illegal activity on public waters (with valid rod licence). Hence no one can send you away except the police or a bailiff.
2. They don't have the right to confront you. That is harassment. IF they believe that is wrong doing going on, only thing they can do is call the police or report it to the relevant authorities.
3. Putting out NO FISHING sigs needs to be authorized by the council and the EA. Also any prohibitive sign must contains the relevant law written under the sign, which the restriction refers too.
Knowing these rights and rules can cut a meaningless conversation short.
Another word of advice, the more you talk the more chance you giving them to harass you. Keep your say short and factual, end of.
Each pike have unique tail root patterns. So you know if you’ve ever court it before. And growth rates. If you have a boat or inflatable rivers authority owns the water. So if I own a piece of land and have a river beside it and let the water from the river into my lake or pond the rivers authority now owns the water in you land
Can you imagine. A foreigner telling you to leave while you're fishing in public water in your own country. All while talking about how it looks to foreign investors 😂😂😂
Clowns
You should call the cop yourself and tell them you are being harassed by just enjoying the public park.
If you are anywhere in this country on a footpath or road .....just Google who is responsible for the upkeep of that footpath or road (name) ,ie if there is damage to the footpath ...who pays the cost to repair it.....majority of the time it is the local councils job......and so it is "public" not "private".
The whole complex is private property, they can ask you to leave for any reason, and if you don't they are legally allowed to use reasonable force to remove you. You might not like that, I don't either, but those are the fact. This is a 3 year old video, have you learnt this yet?
London........you would never guess
I hate to go against the grain here but the security officers are right in this case. You can have private property where license to access is given to the general public but can be revoked at any moment without a particular reason, and this estate looks exactly like it. The fact that an NHS trust is part of the estate, owns the estate or is adjacent to the estate makes no difference, as NHS trusts are technically also private property (hence why you can be removed from a hospital if you make a scene or cause any inconvenience to people around you).
The reason why security staff don’t call the police is that in England trespass is not a criminal offence - but a civil law issue settled in tort law, hence why the police can’t enforce it. The only time police get involved in trespass is when there is a threat of physical harm or invasion of privacy. The property owners have to sue you in civil court to get an injunction and/or claim damages against you (which they would be entitled to, but it’s too expensive for anyone to bother).
I sincerely admire the fact that you guys go outdoors and spend your free time in such a healthy manner, but if you’re told by someone that you shouldn’t be somewhere it’s worth considering whether they might be right. Also, I think there should be more activism around creating public green spaces for our youth to freely enjoy, but that’s a different matter…
Put the Pike back as soon as you unhook, they are only little ones but are still very fragile and die very easily, especially if caught in warm weather with higher water temps and low oxygen.
I know it's frustrating because you're doing no harm, but the rights of fishing are the responsibility for the estate its no point arguing the legalities it would be better to go over the securities heads & try to get permission. although it makes for good viewing if you're not catching
Private rule. Private whot that mean. Regent Canal open for fishing all year any places you like. Fellas fishing 🎣 is beautiful take care and carry on. Jimmy
Yes none of them are brits and dont even know the difference between civil law and criminal law
DH all of them on 6 pounds a hour
“This is private land”….trespass at most, which the land owner needs to make the request to leave, section 33 it is publicly accessible, just throw the clowns in the water next time an the dog aswel
You argued for to long... you should has said you are going to carry on your lawful activity and carried on fishing,,, that is if it is lawful 🤕
The security guy with the dog, should have lobbed him in the water, absolute jobs worth, and the fella with the green hi vis top, pair of 🔔 ends
He says that it is a private estate for business, that makes in commercial, therefore where visitors are expected and required !
If you have a fishing licence then you are not fighting for your RIGHT to fish 😂
I know i am late to these video but have no Security guards got a clue on pubic access.
I'm getting paid for this....You're wasting your oxygen....yehhh I know mate on someone on minimum wage
If there are canal boats and not private moorings, there was a canal and rive trust sign by the big barge, you should be fine if you have permission or permit from person who owns fishing rights
Ganstafish
Canal and river trust run waterways in London they issue a waterway wanderers licence they make the rules
Give a man a fish you feed him for a day. Give a man a Hi viz jacket he will try to tell you what to do.
Why would you Evan entertain these jobs worth's. It has public access so tell them to jog on.
Move to Birmingham ,the fishing good and no problem with engine.😊
