  • This is the 1st tournament jonboat I ever built. Crazy to think it was almost a decade ago!
    This build was the one that started everything. Not just the boat itself but the friendship with the owner. The whole process opened a new found passion and journey! I was determined to build a fleet of custom boats. Fast forward a decade and the dream is real. I have worked on 100s of boats, creating my own artwork, and having it put to the test everyday by anglers all ower the east coast! I learn new stuff every day and I feel like i've nowhere reached my potential!

    Wow, Matt, that was an awesome first build, and it still looks up to current standards, but having said that, you've come a long, long way!!! It certainly wouldn't surprise me to see you make a deal with a hull manufacture and start you own line of Tricked Tin Boats for the marketplace. You never know what tomorrow will bring! I hope things go well with the purchase of your father's home. Take care and be safe!

    I like the rugged & functional features.That boat is a diamond in the rough, with a perfect color scheme for a fishing rig. If that Honda is really 22 hp, putting it on that Jack-plate is icing on the cake. It’s a Winner !

      Thanks. I actually meant the outboard is a 20, too. Like the newer 9.9 20hp ecu upgradable outboards.

    I totally dig it. Nice and simple. You're so right though bro....Don't fix it if it isn't broken. Keep up the grind my man.

      The current condition of this, which is very good, speaks to the high quality of your original construction. Primo from day 1.

    Well it definitely shows when you do quality work it lasts. Your work is top notch for sure. It’s awesome to see how each build evolves over each build you do.

    I like your work! just bought a new budget low budget rig, 2024 Lowe 1440M with 8hp Yamaha 4 stoke, taking your advice on the running boards under the transome and I'm going to move the wrech forward about 2' to save the transome from road damage.

    Nice boat. I'd be proud to own it and fish out of it. Simple and clean. A little more storage would be nice, but it's a great fishing boat.

      Thanks, brotha. No, he likes the trolling motor set up. It has always stuck out to me, but when it's deployed, it's actually pretty cool.

    Wouldn’t diamond plate be hella slippery when wet?

    • @TRICKEDTINS

      I think the point of the diamond plate is grip?

    What are you asking for it?

    • @TRICKEDTINS
      @TRICKEDTINS  9 місяців тому +1

      That's a good question. Keep in mind that my builds are not for the average joe. If a customer walked in and asked for the same layout tomorrow, the price would be 10k just for the metalwork. All in I'm thinking around 20k.
