I just recently decided to check back into reality show universe, starting with Perfect Match S1. I was just old enough to witness birth of reality tv, MTVs Real World. I was hoping i would see evolution of the 90s phenomenon, but instead was surprised by how shallow the content felt. That is why I started looking for participant's interviews to gain a little clarity. Thank you Chase for being forthcoming and unapologetic in talking about people who have chosen reality tv as a career. There is an overwhelming number of " real characters " who choose tamper tantrum type behavior to get attention and exposure. There is a serious lack of admirable acts, strong characters and displaying of personal strengths. One might say that drama is what gets the most viewers, but why not turn the narrative around? Are strong minded people with agenda to set an example not desired by the industry? Although visually, these shows ARE incredibly entertaining, gorgeous locations, beautiful bodies etc., but no substance in character. Are we , the viewers, to blame for wanting empty type, easy to swallow entertainment? Who really decides how much freedom tv personalities have to be your self in these unscripted shows? Of course I understand that if reality tv is not my cup of tea, i don't have to watch, but there are so many impressionable young minds out there who treat this content as a guide line for how to act in real world. Is there a realization within reality tv personalities community, of the power they have to elevate content of unscripred entertainment going forward?
Yes, Bryton reminded me of You Chase, as well. Strange you are the one speaking about someone else's reputation being compromised in Perfect Match, when you're the only character I remember in s.1 that came in the worst light possible, as well as most unlikable !
It’s funny how you say the app is why you don’t want girls when it’s the creepy guys creating the app and making those requests! Damn if my son ever!!!
Chase be hiding from the sun 😂
He wants to be white passing 😊
@@Pinklady_32 so bad 🤣🤣🤣 like bro it looks weird we know your black too embrace it
The thing is, the Love Is Blind are there for way different reasons than Too Hot to Handle people.
Right it’s like the love is blind crew we’re more real down to earth kind of compared to the THTH crew 🤣
Watching this as I work from a cafe in Bali.
Agreed with Chase, Bali isn't as cheap as it was a few years back. Inflation is hitting us hard here too
