I already miss coach O. There will never be another like him.
The bad thing about coach O is that he turned his head to all the violations their players and coaches were doing. Now, LSU is under investigation for multiple ncaa violations.

As a Notre Dame fan I was surprised he stuck by for so long but honestly he could have told LSU that we will leave after the bowl game. You finish what you start.

@@PTdoubleOT Exactly. He needs to win basically off the rip and a lot of that success will come down to coordinator selection and recruiting. Tons of recruits leaving LSU and after he ghosted his staff at ND he might struggle finding good coaches.
@@doctorblue6375 Coach Brian Kelly, has a history of getting some of the best Young up and coming OC/DC Coordinators to work with him. LSU has a history of paying Assistant Coaches some of the highest salaries in the Business. Trust me recruiting at LSU, won't be a problem at All for BK.
@@waterman4 he had a 4-8 season year 7. Only 2 10+ win reasons in first 6 years. Yes he went 12-1 year 3. But it really wasn't till year 8 where he really got things rolling well consistently at ND. Will LSU keep him if he has a couple of 7-5 years to start off?

Good luck. He is a CEO. I have known BK since the 1990's in Grand Rapids. His MO is that he improves a team and then leaves them in the dead of the night. Take a look at what he did to CMU, Cinn. & ND.

@@huntertrum3658 He wasn't a "terrible recruiter", but he certainly did not put in the effort that Saban or Smart put in. There's a reason why ND's recruiting class is currently in the top 5, and a lot of it has to do with the addition of Marcus Freeman. Freeman completely revolutionized the way ND recruited on defense, and now with him as head coach, he's going to revolutionize the way ND recruits overall.
Notre dame fan here and I’ll tell you that over 12 the biggest beef we had with CBK is that he would rather good than recruit, it’s truly his one big downfall. Good luck!

I saw a story that LSU players were supposedly asked what kind of coach they wanted and the response was, a players coach. Anotherwords, a coach that will let them do whatever they want.
Brian Kelly is bringing discipline. No BS. Will the players be able to handle that? We'll see.
Saban was a coach that demanded discipline and it wasn’t a problem. For the most part, they last 2 -3 years, our team has been relatively problem free.

As a ND fan I’d like to remind those that have forgotten, BK can build a program but has never been able to get past a big game. He has one win against Clemson….they used their backup QB. I am glad he’s gone.
He beat Oklahoma in Norman 2012 I think, but yeah that’s about it
Terry, the narrative all along has been that ND just does not get the same caliber of players that LSU does, so it is definitely easier to win NC at LSU than ND.

@@TerryWilsonModels no, ND has not been recruiting as well as LSU in recent memory. And I am aware that ND has higher academic standards. Hands on a person is not ideal, but those are football players who get body slammed on the field, they will be fine :)

@@ronachten2902 he was loyal to ND for 12 years! That’s a long time! Don’t blame him, blame the ncaa! Early recruiting ends during bowl preps. He’s not here to coach our bowl game by any means! Our DC is coaching our team...our AD wouldn’t allow that baffoon we had to stay behind to coach, which was a great move. We, as LSU fans, are sorry that things happened the way they did. We’ve been in ND’s shoes, as has countless other teams. Oklahoma still is without a coach. Our recruits are secure and we certainly didn’t need him to sway ND coaches or recruits to Louisiana. Our staff is solid except for OC! He mentioned 2 names he’d like to have on his coaching staff but said he realized they both have families and probably wouldn’t want the move.
