    Thank you! I wanted to look exactly the same so I spent lots of time for designing and running around the city to buy needed ingredients, and of course making the mask itself took a lots of time!

    This is a very great mask for masquerade or anything really! Hard to make, but wonderful when ready.

  • @SireSasa

    I have an answer:
    I bought the narrow chain from local crafts store called Hobby Point, you could find narrow chain from your local crafts stores, I'm sure.
    The spike rivets are not selled in craft stores anywhere, so I had to bought them from "Biker and Rock'n'Roll Warehouse" called Leather Heaven. That was kind of challenge for a disco guy to enter the heavy rock store, but that was necessary, because the spikes are selled nowhere else.

    Thanks! And I will always remember that! Lady Gaga will live forever!

    This is the hardest and the best tutorial I have ever seen. Thank you so much!! I'm making my BTWB costume! :D

    @SireSasa gaga definitely keeps up with her fans and their work so don't doubt that she won't see this!! and yes, this is, without doubt, the best dance in the dark DIY mask. it came out great and you should be proud! also thanks to you, i'll be sporting my own lovegame fence glasses so thank you :)

    @SireSasa Well you did one hell of a job! I'll say. Im 99% sure,if Gaga saw this, she'd be amazed. I just made one of these for the concert Wednesday, but mines smaller, and I know after 8 1/2 hours, yours still puts the cherry on top :]

    Thank you! I join UA-cam because there was so lousy Gaga prop tutorials and I knew I could do them better! I hope I have helped all of you!

    Thank you very much! And you are welcome!
    I must warn you that when this is ready, it will be quite heavy to wear and it will slightly reduce eyesight. But it's so awesome, that gives you strength to wear it the whole concert.

  • @SireSasa

    You are so welcome! Nice to hear that kind of comments, really! :)
    The only thing costing 3000 dollars is the brand who made the mask, and that's not even a very famous brand, Hotel Gluttony it is.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    That's always a good thing, saving money. You could use it to some else supplies which might be harder to replace.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    Haha! Thank you! I actually made just yesterday and today a second Dance in the Dark Mask! It has longer spikes, that I painted with bronze enamel paint and the rings are golden now. Also the general shape of the mask is slightly different, I tryed to improve it to look even more like the original (if it's still possible!) I'll put a few pictures about the masks to the videos description box, you should look! :)

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    I have the leather, spray paint and all the tools already. I bought the mask from a crafts store Sinelli, narrow chain and fastening rivets from another, bigger crafts store Hobby point and the spike rivets from "Biker and Rock'n Roll Warehouse" Leather Heaven.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  11 років тому

    Thanks for the idea, yes I can make new playlists.
    I've thought that two videos isn't enough for a playlist, ans three would be minimum. I can make at least Paparazzi tutorials playlist, and maybe Dance in the Dark one too, if you want it really hard?

  • @LordRara0
    @LordRara0 12 років тому

    You are amazing and creative! You spend 48$ of making it, but the real one costs 3.000$! I just can't express how cool you are!!! Thank you for everything you have done :)

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    But these stores are in Finland and they don't (at this moment) deliver to other countries. I'm sure you can find equivalent stuff from your local stores and internet stores like Hobby Lobby. Crafts stores are really good, but they don't sell spike rivets. You can ask them from biker and heavy rock clothes stores. And spray paint and iron wire (and bigger chains) are selled in hardware stores. :)

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  12 років тому

    I don't know where you could find that. I find it from a good Finnish crafts store. Just a few crafts stores have paperpulp masks like that, you have to ask for them. Chain you can find from some crafts stores too.

    @SireSasa That is so awesome. I saw all of your videos (or most of them), and the stuff you make is just amazing. You're very talented. Gaga would be and is so proud! :)

  • @SireSasa

    Yes it is, of course it is. Longer spikes in different colour, as well as the rings.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    WOW, that's a compliment! Thank you! I can't race with Gaga Herself about the videos, but I try to be as good as possible. And I make some recreations of Her videos too!

    Well, depends on how skillful you are by now. One fashions course doesn't make you a genius, but it will help of course! Havve you done many artistic things before? Are you good at drawing?

    Yes I could. The mask in the cover of Dance in the Dark has nine spikes and the other one Gaga has used in some photos has more spikes.

  • @payyoursurgeon
    @payyoursurgeon 14 років тому

    @SireSasa i'm using an 18" sheet of medium mesh stainless. almost the same one you used in your video. it's tough but hopefully the results will be worth it!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  11 років тому

    Great!
    Do remember though that this is quite a heavy mask, and wearing it the whole night might hurt your nose or forehead a bit. But it's certainly possible, I've tested to wear this for hours.

    You can always get findings from a craft store (the rings). and you can get some shiny gold chains at a craftstore too. Also yours is really handmade which is much better.

    INCREDIBLE WORK,IT'S SO GOOOOD 😱💜💜💜

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    Well, that is because Lady Gaga has not done Dance in the Dark music video!
    The next one will be Alejandro and the fourth and final video from The Fame Monster album will be the same as the fourth single, which MAY be Dance in the Dark, that's not confirmed yet! You'll just have to wait.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    I hope so. Thank you. But will she ever notice me, that's another question.
    This is one of my best creations and I would like especially show this mask to her, because no other have done this mask (like this close to the original), once I've seen a mask I think re-created very good (even a little better than mine), but later I found out that it really was the original. So I now have absolutely the best copy of this mask and I'm very proud of it.

    From a good crafts store in Finland. Try look around crafts stores. And Merry Christmas!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  12 років тому

    Thank you very much! This is one of the hardest I've ever done, yes. Check out my Bad Romance Polar Bear Robe tutorial too, that's possibly even harder!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    Thank you so much! That is the first concrete feedback about the teaching element of my videos, and I am proud if I'm succeeded making my tutorials easy-to-follow!
    Try to make the Mask, that is one of my awesomest creations, and if you make it, could you put a video respose to this tutorial? That'll be cool.
    And why I don't have more followers at this time: I have some, but I haven't been very long at the UA-cam and I don't have many real life friends who like Gaga (I have one at least) :)

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    You can make the spikes from Finnfoam (sellular plastic) also. What do you mean can you apply onto the spike glasses? Can you apply what?

    Sites? I bought all of these items from my local crafts stores, you should go out to the city and look for yourself if there's craft stores that sells good stuff. Some chains and iron wire is also selled in hardware stores. Buying at shops is so much faster than ordering from internet, and you don't have to pay the shipment either. But if you want to order the stuff from internet, you could try Hobby Lobby.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  13 років тому

    I tried to say that your songs just aren't exactly my style. But I appreciate that you wrote songs and play and sing them!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    narrow chains from crafts store, iron rings you have to twist yourself from iron wire, iron wire from hardware store, leather from fabric store perhaps.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  12 років тому

    You're welcome and thanks too!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  13 років тому

    Thank you, and that is true, maybe this is just so hard to make!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    You could make a DeviantArt channel and post your pictures with watermarks so they can't be copied, but if you don't want, it's okay too. I just would've liked to see some of your production, to get know you better. But maybe someday if we meet or something... Are you going to Europe?

  • @SireSasa

    They have so many masks. I couldn't find anything exactly same shape as mine, but could you give me a link of what you thought about? If you buy a whole face mask, it can be of course cutted to right shape.

  • @marissawho
    @marissawho 14 років тому

    wow wish i can make one like that but its alot of work your tutorials are awesome

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  12 років тому

    In my first mask I used 1 cm high spikes, in my second I used 2 cm spikes. 1 cm spikes cost me 1 € a piece and 2 cm spikes 2 € a piece, so they are quite expensive. The longer ones are better though, more cool.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  13 років тому

    Metal parts (chains, rings and spikes) makes it more heavy.

  • @TheRomanZolanski
    @TheRomanZolanski 12 років тому

    it took u eight hours to make this?
    wow... that's some work, and some results!
    the outcome is genius.
    i would love to have this for myself but i'm not capable of ever making this.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    It's a wonderful poster. I don't think you'll find it easily though.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  13 років тому

    You should buy a much more long pipe with 1 cm diameter. Battery is so short, you have to stop after some 15 rings, when with long pipe you can twist hundreds of rings (manually) at the same time.

  • @TheMonsterG1999

    Is there a way to get one of these? because it's freaking amazing, I love it and I wish to have one.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  12 років тому

    I don't fully agree with you.
    Usually I love Gaga's songs at the first hearing! I don't have to use time to get to like them. But people are different. I just don't understand why would someone spend time and "practise" to like someone which they don't like at first? If I don't like some artist or song, I don't use anymore time to listen to it, to try to start to like it. If it wasn't good, it is not worth my time. But good that you start to like to Gaga, since She has really great compositions!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  14 років тому

    Thank you! It would be so wonderful for me to be in the Haus. But you already knew that of course.

  • @SireSasa

    I'm pretty sure you can find some chains and spikes online, you just have to search. Try Hot Topic or something.

  • @TheMysteryLadie
    @TheMysteryLadie 11 років тому

    Just out of curiousity, what are the measurements/dimensions of the spike rivets? (both masks). By the way LOVE the 2nd Mask!

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  13 років тому

    Yes, but yours have less chains. Anyway it's better than anyone elses I've seen, except mine. Have you seen my second, the picture link is in the videos description.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  13 років тому

    Yes, I would love that, and other people has said that many times to me, thanks. But it's spelled Haus of Gaga.

  • @SireSasa
    @SireSasa  12 років тому

    You have all of that? Great!
    Lady Gaga is for everyone!
    Kids have to be old enough to be able to make my props. It depends on the kid at how young age he/she will be able to make my props. Of course I have easier and harder props, and kids should start with the easier ones.

    OK! I should try to get myself in some shampoo advert then XD

    I don't know about Michaels or any American crafts stores. I live in Finland so it's impossible for me to know where you can find those. Probably big stores have better assortments of things than small ones. Ask for them.

    Nii-in, ketju on ihan älyttömän hintaista! Harmi ettet onnistunut toivotunlaisesti. Noita naamareita olen ostanut Sinellistä, mutta ne on sieltä (ja tehtaalta kuulemma) aina lopussa. Joskus pyysin tilaamaan niitä lisää, ja se kesti tosi kauan. Oikea nahka on myös tekonahkaa parempaa, mutta kalliimpaa myös. Spraymaali toimii yleensä aina, kunhan ei liian paksua kerrosta maalaa.

    Start from what you think you would be able to do. I'm unaware of your current skills, so it's hard for me to say exactly, but don't start from Disco Stick, Alejandro Crown, Blue Telephone Hat or this DitD mask at least. Some other carton masks are easier to make.

  • @SireSasa

    Paperpulp is papier mache. Papel masa/pasta in Spanish. I made two masks and I sold the first one. The second is for me. And thanks, I love to make movies.

    I'm sure you can find even a nail and a hammer, or anything sharp and pointy to make the wholes. Glue is the last option.

    Yes it have so many chains, I counted them, and yes the screws let marks if you wear this mask too long.

    I've made my poker face mask already, but I didn't film the making. Maybe I still can make a tutorial about it. I didn't use real glass mirrors, mirrortape instead, cheaper and lighter. But I put my mirrors to exact locations, as usual, I want my stuff to look as authentic as they can. :)
