Lol. I love how every time I think in my mind (hmm soo..) you say "hold up" or "wait for it" and end up answering my questions....we stan a mind reading King.
I've literally searched all over UA-cam for "drum routing" and "drum bussing" and you're the only one who really broke down exactly step by step how aux and bus works 💪 you sir have earned a like!
This is the simplest and best way to explain it. Everybody else tries to explain it like their viewers are already mix bus experts. But you broke it down just perfect. Keep up the good job!! Subscribed!!
I WATCHED THIS LIKE 3 TIMES BECAUSE IM NEW TO THIS (RAPPER LEARNING TO RECORD AND STUFF) SO LEARNING PRO TOOLS AND WHAT NOT IT DIDNT MAKE SENSE UNTIL I FROZE HIS MIX WINDOW AND JUST LOOKED AT WHAT EVERYTHING LOOKED LIKE. THEN EVERYTHING HE SAID MADE PERFECT SENSE THE VISUAL WAS IMPORTANT
Great Video! I have a video series idea for you: Episode 1: writing the song Episode 2: Recording in pro Tools using your templates Episode 3: Mixing/Mastering your song Episode 4: releasing (TuneCore, and then all the royalty collecting process)
Yea devin literalky is missing a full process episode .. one hook one verse and jjst show the process step by step witout the video skippjnhalf the process and also make it where we dont have to buy HALF OF ALL THE PLUGINS because its always i dont have half the plugins he usin
I just bought a Midas M32 and connected to my PC running Pro Tools First. How do I setup my inputs and outputs so I can hear the music and start recording instrumentals and vocals.
confused and annoyed at first, then rewatched and it sunk in. This was a great help in understanding a complicated (for me) part of Pro Tools. Nice one!
I love how at the end you said that if we were confused to pause or rewind and I was pausing and rewinding the entire way through😂. GREAT EXPLANATION!! I just need repetition sometimes. Thank you so much for this video:)
Let me "give you, your flowers now" ☺. That was a great explanation. Breaking anything down is the simplest terms is ALWAYS a great teaching tool. Please keep up the great work!
You are my new hero. You actually explained this in a way I could finally--in my gut--understand. For the love of God, why don't so many teachers get it? When you teach someone you have to teach them from THEIR perspective not YOURS! Apparently that's the absolute hardest and rarest thing in the world to do. A great teacher has to, in a manner of speaking, "forget what they know while at the same time knowing what they know." Because guess what...the people you're teaching don't know! So many of these DAW/Producing related tutorials are maddening beyond belief. (Not to mention that many of them fly around at a hundred miles an hour forcing you to pause the video a thousand times before you want to slice your fricken wrists.) Teachers...you have to create a picture in the students mind! You have to use analogies! Don't tell me...SHOW ME! Let me say that again...Don't tell me...SHOW ME! Thank you again Devvon, I will paint your house, wash your car, give you all the money I make for the rest of my life, and follow you into the bowels of hell! lol...
OMGGGG This is literally what I needed to watch! I was getting so frustrated with the sends and the buses, I was almost in tears. Thank you so so much for this video. You have no idea how helpful you are! ❤❤
Great video. Needed a refresher on navigating workflow in Pro Tools after using FL for the past couple of years. I really liked how you explain everything and then showed how to do it-- then followed up with a brief summary before moving on to the next segment.
Dude, you will never understand how many videos I've had to go through to get even an ounce of this information? FINALLY someone who explains what the title states, you are a fucking legend!
Your are so powerful sir, Your explanation is superb, i have subscribed just after coming across this powerful tutorial. God bless you for being humble
Thank you so much my friend. This lesson was crystal clear. This info will definitely bring my productions to the next level. I'll do my best to help the next guy/girl as you have helped me. Take care.
Purchase a Template from you today my guy and I have to say you save me some time. I suffer from a head injury so I can’t mix to long so thank you so much.. Will be purchasing more and also it would be dope to have a Protools Beat Mixing and Mastering Template as well! 🤨
The moment you showed the live test it all clicked. I’m in the process of getting back into music and recording and years ago I never really played around with (or understood) bus, sends and aux. This was the very first video I clicked on on how they work and everything makes sense now. Being able to use this, especially in regards to orchestral, instrumental, and symphonic metal is going to be a game changer for me. So first off amazing video. Second off, and more importantly, thank you so much!
YO!!! I had no idea you were doing tutorials on UA-cam!! Thank god I saw this in my recommended! You should remind your followers in Twitter that you have this! I would've never known!! Excited to watch your content!!!!
