Thank you Jordan and Rafe for sharing a beautiful example of dialogos with us. The work on faith and embodiment is particularly relevant to me in my current circumstances. God bless

Faith as a prerequisite to understanding is an interesting one. It's even built into the etymology; to stand below and take in something above you. Going to have to play with this one more.

Thanks very much for this Rafe. I’ve been following you and Jordan for many years and have always really appreciated the Spirit in both of you. This turning towards Christ we seem to be seeing more of is brilliantly exemplified within both of you. I didn’t realize until more recently that were cross boarder neighbours (I’m in Abbotsford). We share a common intuition about the importance of embodied physicality through sport/fitness/martial arts. It’s a piece that I think can sometime be missed in the “thinky talky” space that is “this little corner of the internet”.

Hey Jesse, thank you for the kind words, its a strange thing in away to share a religious journey when it is still new and forming but I am glad it is helpful.
Have you considered coming down over the border for one of our events?

Your referencing evangelical church in the 80’s 90’s really resonated with me. I’m one of the kids who grew up in that milieu. Never walked away from the church but still carry a pretty significant allergy to that context (of which I am still an active participant). I’m sure sharing this journey so publicly is personally alarming/scary at times but for what it’s worth, as a cradle evangelical totally swimming in the TLC waters with Pageau, PVK, Vervaeke etc, all the new language and ways of being/thinking has been so helpful. Seeing guys like you, Jordan Hall and many others undergoing this turn towards a reimagined form of Christianity has been really encouraging.
Re: events, I’d love to. I’m in the season of life with young kids (1 to be precise) so it’s hard for me to get away for multiple days. Not sure if you have anything shorter but I’d LOVE to be participating in person rather than this be a purely UA-cam phenomena in my life. Anyway, thank you again.

My delight, Rafe. I walked a similar path re-abuse, healing, and conversion. Though conversion came first and early in my 20’s. Like Jordan, it was beauty that pulled me in. Grounding in truth and goodness came later, as did the healing around the abuse. It is a hard and beautiful road. Tears remind us of that and keep us stepping along with integrity. Peace to you.

Thank you both, and thank you, Rafe, for bringing the raw Beauty of your healing journey forward in the moment. Im happy for you, keep going brother!
Discussions like these are healing my experience of growing up within a fear based Christianity community. Jordan's testimony and perspective has stirred things up for me.
Also, something near the beginning prompted me to see if you were familiar with Dave Snowden's notion that change happens middle>bottom>up?
    Take care🙏

You are welcome Ben. Leaning in to the healing even when it racks me to my soul.
I am happy to hear you found this healing, I was not embedded in christianity growing up but that brand definitely impacted my ability to see the good within it, its taken a long time to unpeel that onion.
I haven't I am not particular familar with Snowden though his name keeps coming up.
Be good to meet again soon.

    Thank you for your work!
Very inspiring to seeing strong people like you, making their way through the jungle of our time.
I think too there is a way out, but eventually literally it must be embodied.
Maybe the answer to the meta crisis is that what emerges through action rather than through intellectual contemptation about it.
Sometimes real creative solutions to complicated problems arise as an experience and then make their way to the mind not the other way round.
The reason could be that the world is too complicated to simulate reality in the mind, it must be acted out to compute the right pathway.
Therefore simply embodiment work, dance, fight, play could create the answer beyond understanding. As a way to understand through embodiment, compute through action.

1:27:45 two partners in a marriage, who haven’t yet learned how to be beneficial adversaries. Or the left and right hemispheres of the brain, where one side has tried to dominate the other rather than learning from each other. Of course, that’s marriage again.

I see us youngsters struggling to marry another person, when we have been alienated from our own bodies. 🙃
It seems marrying our bodies is primary, if the secondary marriage to another person & his/ her body, is to be possible 🙃❤️

One can aspire to a Joe Rogan like reach where I can fly guests in but I am not sure I would really want that level of exposure. In fact I am pretty sure I don't hopefully there will be ways to find more in person episodes.
