I cannot believe peaople find this fun, this is nerve wrecking and makes me absolutely frustrated and miserable. Still, the videos are great, thank you. EDIT: Wow, that's some serious salt talk xD Do not worry guys, you can do it, it's all right. The videos are still great, thank you.
@ZoneFighter1 If you have a sage/sorc or a gunslinger/sniper toon, you can save yourself a LOT of headache by using phase walk or hideout/hololocate to skip back quickly if you fall. It will also help you stay well ahead of the red circle of death on the second datacron.
Well these are mainly for people who do alot of pvp and ops etc who wants to get that extra power for whatever they do so I wouldn't really call this fun although some do find it enjoyable but for most there just simply in it for the stats and not for the enjoyment
@@yourfriendlyneighborhoodsaiyan For me it was the title. ;)
@@Ordynathor I recently got into finding data crons actually what is the title called "datacron master"?
@@yourfriendlyneighborhoodsaiyan It's a legacy title and an achievement for finding all of them
Best datacron guide videos ever. Watched 4 of these already. I will be sure to recommend these videos to my swtor guild and friends!
:D The second one was quite fun, if not as hard as I thought it would be. "Preferences>Graphics>Shader Complexity - Very Low" really made this a cake walk
Thanks for the great video guide for finding the datacrons and how to get them. here is a suggestion for the mastery datacron there is one easier way if you have phase walk. place phase walk on the fallen column that is like a ramp after you cross the bridge, get to the datacron activate it, then use phase walk to get past the spikes and then cross the bridge back.
This helped me a ton. It took about 20 tries and it was nearly muscle memory ;) but THANK YOU.
I always forget to say thanks on these vids but you got me datacron master and now I’m doing the remaining ones. SO THANKS!
You're welcome and well done!
@@IllevaSWTOR all done ... just the fleet one 😩
Finally bothering to get the datacrons after 10 years and these have all be essential and amazing. Thanks!
Amazing guide. Got both of them relatively quickly. THANK YOU.
i had a hard time seeing the spikes, lowering the graphics works wonders. Thanks for the tip
thank you! i didnt read that phase walk thing, haha that was like indiana jones
oh my.. we get so sweaty we have to talc the hands to get close and our space bar w arrow mouse are not so good either. cheers, fun vids. tnx -ha foudn hole running w vette. time for hop skip jumpings
Thank you again
Illeva for your great help!
As ever, Phase Walk is your best friend on that 2nd datacron. You can use it to skip the majority of the return leg - whatever you find most difficult (1st half or last half), just place an appropriate phase walk. I placed mine where the spikes started, walked out to the datacron, phase walked back so the only thing I needed to remember on the way back was the squares to jump on. Knowing you've got really far ahead takes off a lot of the pressure too. Just noticed someone else commented this a while back!
Other thing I noticed is you can use your camera angle to go through the bridge and find where the fake/real squares are. Obviously the note is a huge help too.
Indeed! Good tips. And I agree, phase walk is amazing :D
I used phase walk to skip the initial spikes and jump on my escape and just had the second half of the spikes and the bridge left, it was pretty easy. This was likely the most fun datacron.
I lowered my graphics, AND I set my Phase Walk at the BEGINNING of the bridge. I used a speeder for the big jump. So then after, I just had to run to the jump part, jump with a speeder, hit Phase Walk to appear at the start, and exit the phase. And voilà. That was way easier like that.
Well done! :D
Omg I'm dying laughing!!
"Once you get here you will see this bridge"
As I blindly keep moving forward looking at the video instead of game scream, proceed to hear screams and look up to find hell lol
hahahaha, this made my day XD I hope you got it in the end though!
@IllevaSWTOR after getting foot stabbed a few time (I was too lazy to tinker graphics lol) I got it
@@timv1109 Well done! :)
who ever said the graphics low on the second one top asee the spikes has no idea what they mean. Literally in some the shadowed areas they are using the same textures and invisible spikes. it's simply a short term memory game. The reason that won't work to change the quality is due to how they placed the lights. They aren't dim, they are bright and over specific areas. If it was like Ossus library with low lights then it would work. The way you can tell is the datacron area. there is literally no spikes around it.. but when you land in front of the datacron you die from invisible spikes. many places have it showing spikes and you land and don't die only to take a half a step and then die.
You can use two sages.. one for phase walk and one for the pull. The second sage should enter after you touched the datacron and phased walk to the top of the log. they can pull you from the log across the bridge.
as a sorc you can phase walk nearly all the way back, a little tip for all the sorc ppl out there
It has taken so many tries for the second jump from the small ledge to the next one for the first datacron on this world I took my completionist need out back and Shot then point blank in the tool shed. I’ll never get that one (or the pesky presence on Makeb)
for the ones with trap, just use phase walk on the way back, easy AF
With a sorcerer you can put your phase walk on the first square of the indy bridge. That way you can instantly move across on the way back. What a pain these datacrons.
i spent a looong time getting to it. only to have being non clickable now. i made a bug report but its frustrating
1st is the hardest in jumps, especially that 3rd jump. always hits the platform and falls to canyon.
got tired of getting the crap scared outta me every time i got impaled so i used phasewalk and cheesed it
Hey, it's using a game mechanic. I say it's perfectly justified :D
@@IllevaSWTOR yeah but i feel bad for not actually running it out. shame i can't use markers in the instance too
@@lordraydens That would've been too helpful XD
I think that the speeder jump presence one is harder than the Indiana Jones one
I died more to the jump personally, so I agree ;)
Yes, this one, second
Дякую.
What a horrible experience 😞
So sad to see you keep pushing speeder pilot 5
1st one is bullshit, the other 2 are fine.
That Indiana Jones one took me 6 tries at least.
(Honestly......they must stay up many nights thinking up ways to drive us crazy) 😝
Why, you don't think they're fun ;P
Thanks for the guide, I would add that if one fails the last jump for the first datacron, no need to panic, they can carefully follow a path along the cliffs to the left and get back to the path area just after the first 3 nasty jumps
That's a good tip :)
lol the fourth was the worst for me
Thx for the guide, I guess that snipies/lingers and sages/sorcs can do mastery datacton a way more easy with their phasewalks. And, for highlighting area for spikes/bridge platforms anyone can use ground aoe abilities (wariors/knights can use grenades).
I honestly have no idea why you would do the datacrons on any character without a recall position ability. They apply to all characters in your legacy anyway. Phase walk is literally the only reason I've had enough patience to do a lot of these. Definitely makes escaping the cave much much easier :)
What fucking horrible game design in a game with very wonky jumping mechanics, but managed it after a billion tries, I did have to lower my graphics to see the spikes
developers ar ea bunch of stupid retarded baboons, are you surprised ?
On my way back, when I fall and respawn at the bridge, my character glitches to autorun and he falls straight into the chasm, which he then peoceeds to do multiple times until he dies completely and goes back to the Imperial base. And there's nothing I can do to stop it.
My god that Indiana Jones one was hell, took me like 30 minutes, longest of any of the datacrons. Turning down my graphics settings to very low was key, i couldn't clearly see the spikes before that.
Well done for sticking to it though :)
This is absolutely worthless. You can't get to the second location without being killed by an exhaustion zone damage. Maybe get an explanation of how to actually get there and not start where someone have you summon.
On your map, just follow the road until you are just south of the entrance to the small area where the hole and ladder are located. I had to fight through the enemies on the way north to the ladder, but I never encountered an exhaustion zone.
No exhaustion zone for me. Looks like you went the wrong way? You just have to walk through the madalorian hunting area and there's a ladder at the end. Path all the way to the area too on the map is pretty obvious.
for the mastery datacron it is 1000x's easier if you use sage/sorc with phasewalk. Just memorize the indiana jones jump puzzle (backwards and forwards) As mentioned turn graphics down to low, then at 4:29 just after you use the "log" to get past the first spikles put down the phasewalk then make your way to the cron and after the cutscene if you placed the Phasewalk correctly you should be able to skip all the spikes and the jump. Now you just have to do the Indiana Jones Puzzle to get out.
Ofc it's easiest, but some likes a challenge, so I gotta show how to do it XD
If I wasn't the man I was I'd kiss ya - Demoman
@@inspectorjavert9868 lol that's ok I get it :)
Remember to use phase walk as sorc to skip all the way back! ;)
any clue as to how much mastery the purple datacron gives?
I would assume +7 but idk
@@timcronin5107 It doesn't specify, but I assume +7 as well
Short and simple with excellent advice. Thank you!
I LOVE your enthusiasm each time you find a Datacron :D
your videos are great, too bad swtor game mechanics totally suck and these datacrons are basically inaccessible
OMG these are nightmarish! Just like the dailies are a pain. No wonder this is a dead planet. lol
Very helpful video. Thank you 👍
I've been using your videos to do datacron hunts with my vet buddy. Got all of them except Fleet (we're a guild of 2, so it's impossible). The second one on here (the Indiana Jones ripoff one) we can't get though. I need time to harpoon him across the traps with his shaky hands and we just don't have the time to jump around and zip him over :(
Was a good run though. And we got ALL the other ones. Thank you Illeva :)
If it's a struggle, I recommend going on a sorcerer or sage. The phasewalk has helped a lot of people here.
And if you play on Darth Malgus, I could arrange a Fleet Datacron for people who need it still.
possible with speeder piloting 4
i got them but now i hate onderon
Shame you didn't tell us those first jumps are only possible with ur fancy wings of architekt, cuz tried with twenty mounts more than one hundred times and still can't perfrom a single jump :)
I promise, it is not because of my wings ;) But I do recommend using a small mount, like a jetpack or one of the Meirm mounts.
even theron is surprised
I hated that last one so much
So, I have the Speeder Rank 5, but my jumps are falling short every time, no matter what I do. What am I doing wrong?
It is a very tight jump, even with 5. My recommendation is to jump at the very last second of course and then hold down W+SPACE longer than you would normally do. It is tough jumps, and I've missed them many times.
1:15 Very nice video but i cant jump with my vehicle so far. Is it an special think about "Vehicle of the Architect" ? I have try it with my jetpack and with all my vehicles all have the same range, no one can jump so far. I will serch for solution, but the "architect vehicle" i will neve become alone...
It has nothing to do with what mount you use. It can be done with the standard speed, but it is very tight.
@@IllevaSWTOR Okay thx i have win confidance and try it again.
@@IllevaSWTOR First one i have got it yeah.. thx for this vid, the second one is my actual nightmare OMG!
Already at the first easy jump, there are problems. Sometimes something invisible is stopping me midair, or pushing me to the right, in both cases I fall to my death. And on second jump (first long), there is exactly the same - either stopped midair or pushed right, but here it's EVERY SINGLE TIME, making it bloody impossible to get past the middle of the gap. I've tried adjusting as much to the right as possible before jumping, and I've also tried probably 10 different mounts, but no, so far no luck at all. The ONLY "positive" is that dying here causes no damage to gear.
This is probably the only datacron I'm never gonna get :(
What server are you on? I could probably help you with a sorc/sage pull or something
@@IllevaSWTOR That is so incredibly nice of you to offer! But I got help, so I now have it. But thanks again a million times for being so kind :)
@@johnnymartinjohansen I am so happy someone helped you. It's always so heart warming when people help you out, isn't it? :)
That second datacron is the dumbest fucking one yet (worst than the fleet datacron imo). Thank you Bioware for that. at least these days you only have to get that bitch once for it to count on all your toons. Nice work uploader.
I'm sorry...?
@@IllevaSWTOR LoL I appreciate the video. I'm just tired of the crap they pull for completion whores like myself that BiS to death.
@@Edward2TheC I hear ya, don't worry :)
For the Mastery Instance/Cave:
1 - Set Preferences > Graphics > Shader Complexity > Very Low. This brightens the cave to almost daylight levels.
2 - Use Phasewalk (sith inquisitor) to port back to the beginning after you make the gap jump
2 - Use rocket boots for the gap jump
Cheers.
I just finished this today, and that phasewalk would have helped this so much if i had read this comment before i did it, lol.
Is good as a guide video, but always remember that she uses a skinny tiny character, Some things may change a little. Also she doesnt mention, but some jumps are really hard. You may notice when she makes a cut is because she failed, maybe more than once. Still one of the best guides for datacrons.
Of course I fail at the jumps as well ;)
you can use mount inside
Thank you
You make it look so easy
Can you come do the last one for me ?
Never mind I just did it :)
@@choo22choo Well done!
@@IllevaSWTOR thanks for the help I could not have done it with out this
