This is what I tell everybody who comes on to train for the firsts time you can’t cheat to the top you gotta be in an day out over the years you’ll see how much you’ve improved when you start showing the new people techniques
I remember hearing once it takes about 6-9 months martial arts training to be able to beat up most ‘thugs’ on the street. And about 2 years to be ‘good enough’ to enter the ring. I’m 7 years in now and can agree with that
That's cool! I too started the martial arts journey about a year ago. Made some awesome leaps in skills just in that short time, but then tore my bicep during sparring one day 😞 . Hope to get back into soon, so thanks for the inspiration! 🙂
Great stuff man. I can’t count how many times I felt like quitting when I first started training and sparring with older guys above my skill level when I was a kid. Just showing up every day and training with better guys goes a long way for anybody
Looks like a great learning environment for beginners, nice light technical sparring for learning. Every gym i've been to has 1-2 people who go easy in light sparring and all the others try to take your head off. Makes for a bad learning environment and makes beginners quit and hesitant to spar.
