Building a Homestead Episode 1 Clearing the Land

From putting an offer in on the property all the way to clearing the driveway and house pad of all the trees and brush down to the roots and all. Over a hundred trees were beaten and broken, uprooted and damaged by Hurricane Idalia just a week after we took ownership of the land. We had to call in some help from some friends. Parmelee Tree Care came in and got things started for us and then we had to hire another crew to get the rest of the pad cleared off. Seemed like the land clearing was never ending. So many trees! We received the permits from the county! We got the mailbox installed! We got the major land clearing done!
So much to be thankful for!

Trying to figure out a way to get the boat up here closer to us so we can continue the restoration. Probably best to finish the bottom job and thru-hulls, install the motor and steering, splash it in Tampa and cruise it up here to a close spot we can finish the inside and everything else with it in the water.
