Please remember that the lagoon is a protected area. It's the nesting ground of endangered birds (some of them put the eggs right into the shrubs and on the sand - when they get scared they abandon their eggs and they die). It's forbidden to do any watersports there. We have many great spots in Tarifa, please don't ruin it by making the authorities put up stricter rules because Kiters don't respect the restrictions and nature.

I'm confused. Everywhere is written only a part of the lagoon is forbidden to kite. the forbidden part is delimited by wooden poles. does the kite school teach there as well, as far as I know? I've never been there myself, so I'm asking you guys because it seems you're locals

@@horrorlon kite schools must be on the sea side of the shore. They can use the huge lagoon (as the rest of kiters) in high tides days

Sorry to just remind a fact with drone flying: the max altitude is 150m, even less in many protected places, and flying around clouds, which means you don’t always have good visual on it, is kind of forbidden. I guess you wouldn’t do this in your own country. At least, keep this for yourself, do not promote it by exposing it, giving false sensation of no rules

I don't agree. Levante is crazy gusty in Tarifa and simply no fun. The lagoon is perhaps once a month at a decent size to kite on there. And Tarifa itself is pretty boring and empty during winter times.
