Thank you ma’am for the lovely video♥️ It resolved all my about about rate time and work Can you make another video on this topic?? Please revert back!
You can get to the right answer regardless what no. you use (in fact, you can get to the answer without substituting y for a number). The reason we used 30 (instead of 5) was cos we wanted to avoid having to deal with fractions. So using y = 30 your rates become 3 and 2 which are easy to add. If you used 5 you can get the right answer, you'll just still have to deal with fractions. Using 5, your rates would be 1/2 & 1/3 [fractions] Combined rate would be 5/6 [more fractions]. Your formula below would be 4/6(T) = 15, then T = 15/(5/6) [still more fractions] which still gives you 18 just more messy than what was shown.
At 27:22 why is the answer not 4 ? The tank won't assemble completely at 3 hr so it it should be approx 4 hrs so that we get a complete assembled tank?
Cat is literally the best teacher. I was having issues with rates before this video. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Awesome..more Cat please
Thanks, I love the strategy for reverse work.

You are so welcome!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Amazing
The last problem, why couldn't it be 7hrs for B? Since it's starting an hour late and has less speed compared to A, won't time taken be more (for B) ?
Thanks! Very useful
Awesome, so glad we could help!
I don't understand, in the problem of y's, where we had to find minutes, why did we use 30 instead of 5
And why would'nt we get the answer with 5?

Great madam
Video is not working
Hi Dharmil! It seems to be working on our end! What is the issue you're experiencing?
At 27:22 why is the answer not 4 ? The tank won't assemble completely at 3 hr so it it should be approx 4 hrs so that we get a complete assembled tank?
But they asked the approximate time. So we had to round tge answer 3.33 to around 3.0 not 4.0
Hope this clears your doubt
you are complicating things here
Why you waste a lots of time on one question
except the last exercise, the first ones were disappointing
