This young Russian lady pronounced D-on-uh ON-kudi-nova is 15 yrs old here singing on the Russian show "You are Super" which she won with her incredible deep sound thats close to artists like Shakira, Tony Braxton and Cher but what's great about her is she brings her Yodel background into a modern music mix like Dimash brings a Opera/Classical background into a modern mix with a fearless behavior to go for the big notes in front of huge audiences while composing these incredible note patterns in there head with a rock solid tone and resonance to each note. Sorry went on a bit with my humble opinion but i hope i answered your questions ok in the beginning.

This is a great cover of this song but I would always use "Rechenka" as a first, if not second, song. It is deep and primal and her voice is an amazing vehicle to explore the the story she is telling. I suggest leaning what she is singing about after as retrospective.
I agree, Adam. The backstory of her early childhood physical abuse and the experiences she underwent before adoption give even more credence to an already amazing young woman.

@@vlada613 but they do know each other, she mentioned recently somewhere that he even wrote to her in IG and they communicated. Obviously people are asking her about Dimash too, though they are sooo different, cant get why)) and I wouldn't be so surprised if Dimash suggested and praised her, though I didn't hear myself, but it sounds like him actually, he is always supporting young and extraordinary talents.

So glad you discovered Diana. Her best song and one that showcases a good deal of her talent is "Retchenka" (my opinion). I'd love to hear what you have to say about that one. Diana is super creative with a variety of techniques, including yodling! At 15 with such a well developed instrument and performance level, the sky's the limit for Diana. Caveat: you my friend have been spoiled by Dimash. Nobody will ever measure up if that's your measuring stick! LOL!

Rechen'ka - that's her best performance ! And she is the original artist in her own right - so please do not expect Dimash's supersonics from her. She does her own numbers much more artistically than anyone else !

As to 'Rechenka' ... it's from an old traditional folk tale about an orphaned girl who is supposed to marry someone she doesn't love, so she goes down to the river (the border between the living and the dead) to talk to her mother and ask for her advice. Beautiful and sad and haunting! And a *stunning* performance, *especially* from a *14 year old!*

You mentioned new artists that are influencing and creating new fervor within today’s music. Dimash and Diana are examples mentioned. There are others among which are Aurora and Angelina Jordan. They are both extraordinary. Angelina will take you back to the 30’s through the 70’s with a voice that creates art with which will paint your soul and leave you wondering how. Aurora will leave you speechless and deposit you in a different universe. She writes her own songs which has deep underlying meanings. Both write songs, both are from Norway. You owe it to yourself to take a look. You will be truly amazed.

Diana’s voice is unique, even in the songs I don’t understand I hear her talent? Gift? Dedication? Whatever the source she is amazing. Another very gifted young lady is Angelina Jordan. If you get the chance please check out her performance of any cover she has done. But her original songs portend greatness on another level.
Diana is the product of an abusive mother who left her with broken bones, burns, attempted drowning, and emotional scars so deep that she was unable to talk when she was finally placed in an orphanage. 'Vocal coaching" was used as a form of therapy as an attempt to regain her speech. I think she was either 14 or 15 during this performance (Mind officially blown).
I liked the reaction, but be careful to not "Compare" singers to Dimash (I know, it's almost impossible once you've heard him). Opening up isn't all about "range" and you'll see that Diana is a great example of that after hearing more of her...
Something to consider: Dimash IS great (Probably the "best" vocalist alive), but listen to an entire hour or more of Dimash on your system or even an iPod on your own time... Your ears (and mind) can become fatigued. He's 90% eargasm, and that's great for competition, but TBH it's tiring over the duration of a full "album".
I honestly wish Diana had more material (High-quality audio) available as her voice is both captivating AND something you could listen to for *hours* on end. My "2 cents".

Diana is very talented, I like her very much, and they cannot be compared with Dimash, too different. But come on, you are so not right about getting tired from listening to Dimash.. i wish I could sometimes, it is 4 a.m. and I literally cant stop. What are you talking about? His 3 hours live concerts are never enough, we want more and more)) just probably listen to his live concert songs, and not just competition performances? He is soulful and quite entertaining too.

Dude! Get ready for a ride! Not only is she pitch perfect, she can do so many vocals with her instrument. With the exception of Dimash, you will never find anyone with a voice that compares to Diana. Not only does she transport th you to another dimension, she sing all styles & genre's of musical styles. Rechenka should be your next visit. Diana has stated that she does not include Rechenka in her concerts & repetour because of the energy and vocal techniques are so draining. If you listen (better than you did with "Wicked games"), you will understand why.
You did not seem impressed with her ability or capability, but you Will!
"Rechenka" and "Feeling Good" (not the feeling good with the piano) is as polar opposites as you can get, yet she is master old folk songs as well as R&B, Etc...

hi, i really enjoy your reactions and comments. I learn a lot. As far as Diana goes i believe her name is pronounced An kuda nova. She should be about 16/17 yrs old. She has an interesting voice, it's good but sometimes i feel it's like something you don't know if it is good or not but you can't stop looking at it , I don't know if that made any sense
