      standing on the deck could alter the view and estimate of certain angles. We got good angles because the camera was where others weren't standing.

    i am so happy yesterday i got to see Leo in his new place and it got to me in a good way, and then today Doug pulls off the pilot house and i got choked up again. congrats to Doug and everyone that helped or even just got to watch in person.

      @@Gottenhimfella This is 'Murica. We use imperial here. That bolt would be 0.5 inches, not 0.5 millimeters.

    I started watching this boat build when you were pouring lead into the keels. I have watched it for well over 2 years.
    I am amazed that it is finally time to head for the Port of Catoosa! Great job Doug and everybody who helped out!

    You need wire with tensioner in order to secure the radar mast caused by propellerrpm to speed or depth clearance vibration.And the main mast should be screwed to the base .With heavy wind and pitching or rolling of the boat no mast is heavy enough to stay in the position only by cravity from Greece with love

    Thank you Doug for the plaque honoring those who are not able to see the boat finally finished. Zach Swearingen was my best friend and he passed far too soon. After informing him about this project I was over the moon with excitement that he was able to make it to Tulsa and help on this amazing journey you started. I was never able to help with the boat, but feel so much gratitude that you have stamped Zach's name onto the vessel as a memorial. Thank you so so much for that plaque and what you have accomplished. I wish Zach was still here to see it.

    What an exciting video and time. The part where everyone was helping with folding the American flag was something else, a very proud moment. Loved the innocence of the young neighbor boy looking into the eye of the camera, just had to smile.
    So looking forward to the launching.

    The balls on the guy on the roof.
    I work in maintenance and I have never seen someone ride a load because you die if the load drops. The winch sounded at capacity too based on the squealing when winching down, glad there was no damage to people or property.

      Im trying to figure out why he was up there. Maybe just stayed up there after hooking up the rigging? Ive demaned quite a bit of old machinery and I like to get a nice vantage point away from the load because there's always that oddball part that'll get stuck and you won't see it binding untill it suddenly isn't lol

      @@boredvideos1 Other people say he was taking up slack and adjusting to level the load but generally you don't go a few feet up to see if it is level, and the kid running the crane seemed to not understand that slow and safe is better than fast.
      Is what it is.

    Going to be a sight to see going down the road. Id always imagined over the years of watching this being built coming over and seeing the launch was gutted when i seen the date with all the borders being locked down over the world coming over from Auss is practically impossible at the moment. This project has meant a lot to me over the years getting me out and doing what i never thought i could, Now my saying is theres no such thing as failure youre just not trying hard enough. 3 businesses later im where i want to be in life Thanks to this giving me the courage to say screw it its only money you only live once.

    I was looking back at the first video that I watched of you building Seeker, nearly 10 years ago, it was "The big sandblaster Pt1". Just like to say thanks for the all years of entertainment and inspiration. Also to wish you good luck with the launch..     I have never seen anything like that before.

      @@judd_s5643 thats correct. But since that is a private project not a company and no employees. (people helping out are not employees) they have no right to be there.
      However that crane operator is a company/business and has employees . And if I was OSHA and I saw that video I would be sending an inspector to all his jobs for the next 3 months.

      You are also missing the point here. What that crane operator was doing was supper dangerous. We all saw the video. You understand how close he was to falling off (dieing or severely hunting himself). Plus did you see how much the boat shook?
      Does Doug need to add another plaque to the boat wall.
      Come on, everyone here knows that crane guy f'd up and got lucky.

    At the beginning of the video I thought...it's going to be hard to remember where all those bolts attaching the wheelhouse are, I bet. Glad Paul didn't get launched into orbit and nobody got hurt. Maybe don't use grade 8 bolts when you're doing a temporary fitment next time lol

    If you have my luck , when you put the pilot house back on you'll have one extra screw leftover , managed to fix a chopsaw with out any left over so maybe the tides are changing

    Wow.. I can't believe it has come to a end. Well this portion of your story. I subscribed to your channel Doug back when you were explaining using the old bus windows on the pilot house. Seems like last week. Congrats Doug. What an amazing accomplishment. Also on a side note. Lmao. That lady who was rigging and ontop of the pilot house talked a good game. But should HAVE NEVER been onto of what is being lifted. OSHA would have got wind burn on their hand writing tickets so fast. Lmao

    Man I love crane work I stated my apprenticeship at 18 for a union company W.W.GAY Mechanical have been a crane operator for over thirty years love it as much today as I did whe. I started I have the coolest job in the world to me.
