Last week I sold my 13 Pro Max and got the 13 mini just to try something new. I never thought I would like it so much and now I am sticking to it as long as I can! If I want to watch content for a while I just whip put my M2 Air (which I got after not liking how heavy the 14” MBP was). I just find more joy on “light” tech and more than happy to trade in “pro” features in favor of portability.
@Antonio Farach - I totally agree with you! Size and portability are definitely plus points that benefit you on a daily basis and if you don’t need the power of the pro models it’s perfect. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
So I don’t begrudge anyone their opinions and preferences, but I don’t understand liking a smaller phone for “portability”. To me at least, anything that fits in a pocket is equally portable - iPhone plus/max or iPod Nano, equally portable, they both comfortably fit in my pockets. More power to you if you find it hard to move a larger phone around but have no issues with a smaller one. I don’t get it though.
@@sparky6757 if you’re a mostly sedentary person i wouldn’t doubt there is no difference in portability. If you live an active lifestyle you’ll definitely notice a size difference. I went from a 13 mini to a 14PM and I regret it. Planning to switch back. I started leaving the PM behind and relying on my ultra for small trips. It’s so-so
@Mike K555 - Definitely agree, for most people I think that size is perfect. However the mini is a much more comfortable size with basically all the features you need.
@@sanjtiwari5364 Thats what I hated the most about the 13 Pro. Weight plus squared corners = one unconfortable phone to hold. The X and the 11 are just amazing to hold.
I always used to buy the big phones. 6s plus was my first iPhone, then I got XS Max and absolutely loved it. In 2020 my son was born, and realizing he won’t wait with his infancy for my refresh cycle, I bought the 12 Pro Max, wanting the best possible camera. The phone was great, but as someone who had ALWAYS opted for the plus/max version, I absolutely hated how chunky and unwieldy it was. It was so much worse than even the XS Max, due to it being thicker and with sharp edges. Then I met my colleague and he had the 12 mini. The moment I tried it in my hand, I absolutely fell in love with it and ordered mine own the very same day. Needless to say, my 12 Pro Max became nothing but an overpriced camera. I bought the 13 Pro the next year (and passed both of my 12s onto family members). It was an improvement over 12 Pro Max in every way, but I still longed after the mini phone. When I heard the rumors, that Apple would discontinue the mini line, I was saddened, and decided to buy the 13 mini. So now I use these 2 in parallel with the intention of replacing the Pro Max this or next year, but keeping the 13 mini until Apple starts to offer a mini phone again. I never understood the obsession about battery life and screen size. Unless you live in rural Alaska, there are multiple occasions every day to top up while doing something else. 13 mini CAN extend its battery life through gimmicks like external battery or a power bank. But 14 Pro Max CAN’T be made smaller and lighter. The screen size argument is even less comprehensible to me. The Pro Max screen size is still tiny compared to even iPad mini. Few people watch content at work, and when you’re home, just grab your tablet or macbook and thank me later. The only argument I accept is the camera. On normal daylight pics the difference is almost non-existent, but in challenging light conditions, the Pros are distinctly better. I wish I could have a mini Pro. I’d gladly pay Pro Max money for it. iPhone 13 mini is the best smartphone I’ve ever held in my hand, just by a tiny margin ahead of 12 mini. After that, there’s a chasm. Tim Apple, if you’re reading this: if you make a mini phone again, I will buy one every year. That’s a promise. You will get your money from me, don’t you worry.
I could literally copy and paste this as it is exactly how I feel and what I do between 13 mini and Pro Max too! I have a 1TB 13 Pro Max sat in my drawer after pre ordering coming from an XS Max. Having picked up a Pixel 7 Pro that I use alongside my 13 mini I have come to think after the XS Max the Max series have jsut become too big and heavy in combination with the new design to use day to day. I never felt like that with my XS Max. I do use my 13 Pro Max when we go away but as i WFH most days and have a small child too that is not very often so I love my 13 mini but it was an expensive year phone wise!
@@richarddcrossley I have a 1TB version of the 13 Pro as well! Snd I also WFH most of the days, going to the office once or twice per week. We must be clones! 🤣 I use the 13 Pro when out and about. At home, I don’t even touch it. It sits on my desk, collecting dust, and I use it precisely once per day for 2-step authorization for my work.
May i know what storage does your mini have? Planning on buying my first iphone later this year and im eyeing the 13 mini, just not sure which storage.
@@JTemperance 256GB. I think it’s worth the extra because this is probably the last mini. Even if it becomes the new SE you’re looking at 2 years time realistically and rumours are it won’t that will be a 6.1 OLED iPhone.
@@JTemperance I opted for the 256GB storage, out of which I currently use 85GB (most of which is my music library). I’d recommend either that, or 512GB. I’m assuming, that someone shopping for 13 mini today intends to keep that phone for as long as possible, and phones tend to get filled up as time goes. I hope you enjoy your phone for many years to come. I’m even considering buying a spare one.
Great points! I love my 13 mini so much, been using it since day 1. I had the same experience regretting getting the bigger phone every time, I came from using the iPhone 8 and got allured by the 12 pro, one of my biggest mistake, replaced it with the 13 mini and it’s literally the perfect iPhone I’ve ever owned. Will use it until Apple releases a mini iPhone phone in the future.
@Nick White - The mini is just great for everyday use and when I need a larger screen to watch or read I use the iPad mini. Great all around phone! Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Good video man! I picked up a brand new 13 mini, despite already having a 13 pro max. They both have their advantages, but the mini really is a great little phone. I’d love to see an updated version with promotion, better battery, and a telephoto lens.
@winterwolfryan - Thank you so much I really appreciate the feedback 🙏🏽. I definitely agree with you however I doubt pro features and will make it over to the mini simply because Apple keeps them tied to the pro models.
Once I got my first real big boy job out of university I upgraded from the SE to 13 mini and have zero regrets. For the size it’s at the performance and battery life is stellar
I bouthg an 11 Pro Max but switched to the 12 Mini. Then early this year I switched to the 13 Mini. The only thing I miss on on the Minis are the Telephoto lens but I am doing something about it by buying telephoto lens by Sandmarc. There are other brands out there like Moment as well to get your telephoto needs.
I currently have a 13 Mini and a 14 Plus,, after a few weeks I went back to my much loved 13 Mini as my daily phone, my 14 Plus is now just used as a nice camera. Unfortunately having the USA version of the 14 Plus I’m unable to just switch SIM cards depending on which phone I want to use. Apple removing the SIM card on the USA version totally sucks, I’ve always owned multiple iPhones and have loved just being able to transfer my SIM card from one of my iPhones to another. I’m seriously considering getting the upcoming S23 Ultra just for the convenience of being able to switch SIM cards,,, Apple keeps giving me reasons to jump ship and switch back to Samsung,,,,, the only thing stopping me is my deep involvement with the Apple Ecosystem, but Apple is definitely making me investigate my options of escaping that Apple Ecosystem.
@Davyo Thompson - Hey so as far as switching sims you can add an esim to the 13 mini. So I initially just was able to transfer via esim to the 14 pro max and then later was able to switch right back to the mini by transferring the numbers over via esim. So if you want to switch between the two just use esim between the two devices and you’ll be just fine.
@@QasimZafar very interesting and great advice,,, I was told by my carrier T-Mobile that it couldn’t be done even after asking them to make my 13 Mini eSim,, obviously I got bad information. If I can switch eSims between my 13 Mini and 14 Plus that would make me very happy. Thank you very much Qasim
@Davyo Thompson - I have tmobile and that’s simply not true. With the 14 plus signed into your iCloud put both the phones side by side and unlocked. On the 14 plus go to settings>cellular and you should see “add esim”. Click that and choose the option to transfer from nearby iphone and the phones will guide you the rest of the way.
@@QasimZafar coolness, thank you very much for the info, I’m gunna do that. Thanks for your video, I think I just might have to subscribe to your channel 😎
This is such a sad and heart breaking experience for you. I hope you are able to recover for such a traumatic experience between iPhone mini and iPhone 14 pro Max. I'm sure one day, you will look back in this very dark experience that makes you a stronger man in the future. I know a lot of people are praying for you so you can continue to live as a productive member of the society. We will see you at the other side on Sept, 2023 whew iPhone 15 will be released.
Badly need this kind of review right now. I'm actually planning in a couple of weeks to upgrade from 13 mini to 14 pro but I'm thinking if I can really maximize the 14 pro as my 13 mini is already perfect with my daily usage plus the form factor, it's really fits with my small hands well. Thanks for the review, good point and I really appreciate my 13 mini now.
I’m using SE2022 and it works perfectly for me. Cause i don’t even do camera things. I really use my phone as a communication device. Everything else i can do on my 14” MacBook Pro. I don’t play games.
Had this exact same thing having had the 12 that wasn't big enough to enjoy content or small enough to use one handed, then 13 Pro Max then 13 mini. I think my main issue with the Pro Max is it is the weight as opposed to the size that becomes frustrating. I also find a 13 mini great if you have young kids as you can use it one handed as you said. Great video.
@Richard Crossley - Yeah the weight of the pro max certainly doesn’t help. With two hands it’s alright but just the one handed usability of the 13 mini gives it the upper hand. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
I love the size and comfort of my 13 mini but I hate the battery. I hate having to use a battery pack. I’m seriously considering the 14 pro max or wait for the 15 to see what is available with a better battery.
@bonnieshadbolt8539 - That’s totally understandable. The battery definitely isn’t capable of handling heavier usage days but that’s a compromise you’ve got to make with something like the mini. If you do go to a pro max you’ll definitely never have to worry about using a battery pack.
what a calm review. definitely made me feel better about getting a 13 mini. why do your app icons look different though? is it a new iOS feature? would love to customize my phone that way.
@ruta4d - Glad you enjoyed the video! The app icons I have customized via shortcuts app. I’ll link below a guide and the icon pack I’ve bought. Icon pack: doney.gumroad.com/l/oFEmk The link has a guide too.
I'm using the 13 Mini as my daily driver right now. I can't carry those large phones in my pants pocket, or put it in a shirt pocket. I don't watch videos or play games on my phones. I have an iPad for that stuff. Plus the 13 Mini easily lasts me an entire day.
I can’t believe the timing of your video. Recently I picked up an iPhone 14 ProMax and was planning on trading in my 13 Mini. With two weeks to decide, I ended up taking the iPhone 14 back. I recently purchased a Garmin Enduro 2 Sports Watch and unlike the Apple Watch it does require I carry the phone on my daily runs. There is no way I could do my running and carry the big iPhone in my pocket. With the Mini, I hardly even know it’s there. So yes, even after a year my Mini is still at 100% battery. There’s no way I could give it up.
@Jake The Glider - That’s crazy haha 😂. I’m right there with you, the size and everyday portability of the mini is just perfect. It’s loaded with a ton of capability and definitely an overlooked model in the lineup. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
This is one of the best reviews of the mini that I've watched in some time and I appreciate how you approached this, going all the way up to a 14 Pro Max...not a 14 or 14 Pro. In my opinion, the mini is one of the best phones Apple has ever produced and it saddens me to no end that it's going away. I think that Apple is largely to blame...I don't think they marketed this phone properly and probably calling it "mini" didn't help. We can only hope that Apple will change their mind about this phone at some point in the future...maybe the future "SE"...seems like that's what it was destined to be all along. In terms of who needs this phone and who doesn't...if you already have an iPad or MacBook that you have ready access to and you can easily consume content on those devices, then the mini is perfect (as I'm writing this on my MacBook Air M2). If your main device for consuming content is your phone, then this probably isn't the phone for you. BTW, I have that exact same carbon fiber case and I love it! Liked and subscribed!
@RH Photo - Thank you I really am glad you enjoyed the video. I totally agree with you! I did a video on why the mini failed and that’s one of the reasons I mentioned. The mini should replace the SE line instead of it being done away with altogether. It’s really a great device and the everyday portability is just amazing.
@zero gabz- Glad to hear that! You will love it as the size and everyday portability alone makes it totally worth it. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
@Mental Stamina - I got a third party black alpine loop. I’d get the three pack linked below since it comes with the orange and green as well. amzn.to/3ZJcrSZ
.. they do both have drawbacks…. I love my mini… ive had the old iphone before the plus, and just got a mini, and i do NOT regret it… it literally DOES feel like imback home agian.
I was torn between the iphone 13 pro and iphone mini. Got the mini instead, sometimes I regret the decision because reading on the mini is a bit hard and the battery life is not good. I do have an iPad mini and a magsafe battery pack. Still thinking if I made the right decision though
@Matthew Uy - I’ve got the iPad mini as well and I use that for watching and reading. The mini is just so great in terms of everyday use. I think it’s well rounded in terms of features and gets the job done for me. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Great video. I have just repurchased a new 13 mini after regretting selling it. Used it conjunction with my Ipad mini 6th generation is a great combination :-)
I have a 14 pro max and relative small hands and I’m typing this comment with one hand. It’s not bad as people claim it to be. Don’t get me wrong it’s a bigger phone coming from a iPhone 11. It’s really up to you if you want a bigger screen and camera.
@Life Of Slim Gates - I’m totally sure it can work for some people and it’s such a great phone. Just for me personally regardless of trying I just can’t adjust to handling the larger size of it.
I dont quite undestand why you chose the pro max if you love the size of the mini. Wouldnt be a normal 6.1" Pro the best compromise between two of these worlds?
I totally love my 13 mini switch from my 12 pro. Despise 13 pro / 14 pro /max has many cool features but still can’t impress me with the perfect form factor of 13 mini. I really hope Apple will continue to update the mini-series or mini-pro.
@A K - I totally agree with you and that is exactly what keeps me going for the mini. I absolutely love the size and ease of use. I also hope they will because making a 14 plus model has done even worse for them.
Good analogy with the "home and vacation". But, I noticed that most of the iPhone 13 mini owners have an accessible big screen device to do their video watching and/or work stuff. I think that the Max (or even the normal sized ones) will benefit those with only one device, which is their phones.
Yes that is very much the case hence why lots of techie people I know have them inlcuding myself. I think if Apple hadn't priced the 14 Plus so badly it would have sold very well to the one device crowd.
@graphito - Yeah but I also think a lot of people in the Apple ecosystem have at least iPads and for those they can easily rock a phone like the mini. As a solo device the max model is definitely perfect but I’d still not prefer to carry such a large phone on a daily basis.
@@richarddcrossley not everyone have one of iPhone 14 series me and my nephew have IPhone 12 we going to upgrade to one iPhone 15 series when it come out and my girl cousin still have her iPhone 11
@@saharajohnson6481 absolutely. The iPhone 12 is still an amazing phone and a good balance size wise. I actually preferred the colours and the lens layout on the 12 too. Also the notch doesn’t cut into 2:1 video like the 13 and 14 do. I’d rather have a bigger slimmer notch like the 12!
I would love to use the mini but I love to take pictures in portrait mode and therefore love the telephoto lens. Also I use the zoom quite often, which is also much better with the 14 Pro due to the better lenses. A mini with a telephoto lens instead of the ultra wide would be my ideal phone, but I know that this will most likely never happen.
Most recently, I had the 11. I decided to gift to that my mum. I really didn’t want to splash £1000+ on a new iPhone so I bought an 11 Pro on eBay. I opted for the 11 Pro because it’s slightly smaller and has the pro features. I’m now going to gift this to my dad and have ordered a 13 Mini. I’ve noticed I’m going smaller as I’m really appreciating the comfort of using a smaller, lighter phone that is as competent as the best out there. I actually want a smaller screen and smaller battery to dissuade me from using it so much. Great video 👍
@Govannito - That would be awesome but I doubt Apple will do that simply because it’s a “pro” feature and they keep certain features and specs tied to the pro models.
The 13 Mini was the last one that respected people with physical disabilities in their hand, people with terrible chronic pain in their hands and amputees. Unfortunately, these people are not included.
@E P - I love the 13 mini for it’s size, it’s just too comfortable and I can’t see myself going away from it anytime soon. You should give it a try to see if it can work for you otherwise go for the 14 pro because the max is just too large for me.
@Qasim Zafar I'd love to have the 13 mini but the more I think about it , the more sense it makes to wait for the 15 announcement and then make a decision.
Regular iPhone is still the best for me, 2nd is the mini. I never liked the Pro/Pro Max models, such a scam with minimal stupid features that was never really important tbh.
Great video! Like you, I've tried them all, and currently own a 13 mini and 14Pro. Unfortunately, I can't swap the sim back and forth since Apple went sim-free for the 14 models in the U.S. I am considering moving back to the 13mini though. It's light, and every time I pick it up it feels right.
@David S - I too had the same setup until recently giving the 14 pro to my wife so she can replace her 11 Pro. The mini is just perfect in every way and the form factor is by far my favorite aspect of it.
I had a 12 Mini & 13 Mini. I went back and forth on the 13 Mini & 13 Pro last year. I am currently on the 14 Pro. There are days I want to return to the 13 Mini, I miss the size. The only thing that holds me back is the 120HZ display. It is so smooth and the screen is what you interact with the most. I may be in the minority, but a Mini Pro would be absolutely incredible.
What amazing content. I’ve watched a few of these and yore hit the nail on head. I had 13 Mini it was excellent for a few months. But then seemed to Small for my old eyes. So I got the 12 PM. Wife’ said told you so. BUT I miss the 13 mini. So much. Simple small etc. 12 PM does the job. But the 13 Mini was fun. I’m on the fence w getting another mini. The only thing that’s annoying is converting everything over. Especially txt iOS messages. I wish I could use both and have messages just sync. iOS is nice. But not that nice. Thanks again.
@John Powers - Hi John thanks for the feedback! I can totally understand what you mean. I really love the 13 minis size, it’s honestly just perfect for me. As for texts syncing if you’re using iMessage it’ll sync but unfortunately not regular text messages.
@relicsun - Yes I do but I always was curious as to how the pro max would be since all my friends are using it. Doing this also gave me prespective as to why the pro max is equally as great just not suitable for me.
Recently I been thinking about switching to iphone, maybe the regular pro, but I was playing with a motorola with 6.8" and god, if I'm getting an iPhone is going to be the Max.
Today I would totally would have picked a 13 mini, in December I upgraded from a 11 to the 14 pro and I love it but the way I use it has changed (at least for the moment), since the 5s (then 7, X-ray, 11 and a little bit of the 14 pro) I used to do everything in my cellphone, even uni projects, but since now I’m not going out a lot, I’ve been consuming social media almost only in my iPad, apart from message apps I just use ig in my iPhone. I’ve notice a huge improvement, the 120 hz is really smooth but more so in the oled display. I like to take pictures of myself, the sky and just urban landscape in general, but I’m always alone so no one really take pictures of me, thus I don’t take pictures in general on a daily basis, I find the 3rd lense kinda useless for the majority of users, more like very very situational and I don’t think the quality is that great to really use it, the auto focus when you have really either really close or far, sometimes is kinda bad and stressful . The weight is another factor, it’s heavy but in terms of material it’s noticeable that the quality is better in the metal used and the finish of the glass in the back. Color is something I find quite intriguing, I loved my 7 because it was black matte, but ever since then, they haven’t released anything like that, the 14 pro almost never looks really black, I think midnight does a better job in that part (my aunt has a 12 in that color). Perhaps in a couple months when I’m back on track and have to go out and really depend of my cellphone my thoughts will change to the way they use to be. I think the perfect size (for me) would have been the one of the x and xs. I’ll still like to have a 13 mini in the future as a 2nd device (tbh a total whim in my opinion). I think a refurbished one will be good choice since it wouldn’t be as expensive (a mere thing to justify the acquisition), I’ve seen that the 12 mini is around 300 dollars sometimes in Amazon, do you think that when the 15’s come out, the 13 mini would be around that price?
I traded in my 13 pro for the 13 mini a few weeks ago. I did not like how heavy the 13 pro was I carry my phone in my pocket. I absolutely love the mini and hope they resurrect it again. For me, the 13 mini battery life has been great and it makes it through the whole day without any issue.
@Oceanhikes - Yup I definitely love how it’s so light and compact. I can’t make it through all days on one charge but that’s a compromise worth making.
Hey! How you doing? I got a 13 mini as well. Which charger do you use? How many months could you keep it with 100% of battery health? Great video! Greeting from Argentina, and thanks in advance
I'm worried about the 20w charger! I've been using it for a month but now I'm aware that this could ruin the battery. As I have no chance to get a 5wcharger, I'm considering to get the 12w one
@Matias Holzman - Hey brother I’m good how are you? I use a couple of chargers to keep it juiced up…what type of charger are you asking about? Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Fun fact: I can buy a 2nd hand 13 Mini with >90% battery health for around the same price of a Pixel 6a whereas to find an iPhone 13 Pro Max at the same battery health it'll cost double the Mini. I love these two iPhones way more than any other iPhone. But I can't buy any of these lol no money...
You mentioned having an iPad mini. I think THAT is what makes the Pro Max unnecessary. Much of the benefit of a giant phone is BETTER on a small tablet. If you only had a big tablet or no tablet the Pro Max would have a much greater appeal. I personally like the combo you have better than the Pro Max. And the cost for the two is around the same as just the Pro Max.
@iWitness T - I do agree with you on that. The 13 mini is just so ideal to use and carry on a daily basis and I’d much rather prefer the tablet and mini combo instead of having the larger pro max for everyday use.
Pleeeeeeeease just use both that’s what I do just depending on the day lol 😅 I use the mini if I go fishing because then I’m just light using it not power using therefore treating it as a phone or if I’m going somewhere for a boring day then I take max therefore using more like a tablet so simple.
I’m kinda sure this is the original iPhone SE 2 everyone was talking about in the day, before Apple decided to release it as the 12 mini. So i think Apple will release it as the SE 3 around 2024/25.
I love my iPhone 13 mini very much, it's more practical for a phone 🤳 use. People who wants to enjoy bigger screen real-estate than i suggest them to buy the iPad mini to enjoy those games, work files.
The iPhone 13 Mini is an absolute joy. Its a powerful smartphone. It’s unbeatable when it comes to ergonomics and portability. The iPhone 13 Mini is a no brainer for an average user like me.
The Iphone 13 Mini is the ideal phone for me. Probably the best phone I’ve had in awhile. It’s comfortable, refreshing and fun. I would prefer to see smaller devices in the long run. Having to carry less weight is essential. Plus, having stuffed pockets while walking around may not be the best idea. Hope Apple will continue with the mini form factor, as an alternative for us who want to have a break from all these gargantuan phones. Sadly, This 13 mini will be the last of the breed. Shame on Apple for ending the Mini series. If Apple still want to continue with the mini, I think Apple should update the mini lineup every 2/3years.
@Roy Agan - I totally agree with you, the mini is perfect and I’d definitely would like to see it updated in the future even if it’s every couple of years. A great everyday device in every way.
Hey, thank you for the video. It was quite interesting though. I wish you would have talked about how you switched phones so easily as the 13 has a physical sim in the 14th only has an ESM and so that would have been interesting to hear cuz that's one of the big pluses of the 13 phones as they still have a physical sim.
@jonah - So even though I have a physical sim in the mini you can still transfer it over as an esim to the pro max and because the 13 mini also accepts esims it was just as easy to transfer it back.
@@QasimZafar when you say easy, could you do a video on how easy it was …I think many of us I’ve heard many stories and even have friends where it wasn’t so easy so if you could put a video up that showing how it’s so easy, that would be great
@@QasimZafar hey thanks for the video. I watched it. It talked about how to set up your new iPhone, not how to switch back and forth between iphones with an ESM, which is what you did... But hey thanks for making the effort.
@jonah - When you wanna switch back you simply go into settings then cellular and select add esim. When you do that it’ll give you the option to transfer from a nearby iphone 😊.
@Md Golam Sadiq - I’d get the m2 MacBook Air as it’s got more than enough power for the everyday uses and it’ll be great for years to come. I have the M1 Pro because I edit videos but I never ever push that to the max and I’m sure I would’ve been just fine with the m2 MacBook Air. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
My issues with the pro phones is the weight and the giant camera bumps. Aluminum is such a better material than stainless for phones IMO. If it’s good enough for airplanes it’s good enough for phones. And yes I understand there are different grades of aluminum but you guys get the point lol
@BradyB - Yeah that is definitely something that makes it more difficult to handle everyday. The pro phones do have a more premium feel but I definitely prefer the lighter weight of the aluminum body. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Most people don’t go for the weight of the iPhone and most people go for the colors and the design and get more storage for their iPhone and battery life, and the camera
@@QasimZafar Ha, tell him he’s not the only one using a mini 12, I’m replying on my 12 now, 14 hours after it was last connected to power, so it’s still doing well.
Hi man, im from Perú and im now in 🇺🇸, I have been watching a lot of videos to know if the 13 mini ws the correct to buy it, since more than 3 months ago I researched with UA-cam. Tanks for the video, very useful, and I hope apple designers or workers watch it to do more mini models. I have some questions if you cold help me: 1., should I buy 256 gb or 128? I have a MacBook Air m1 and its 512gb, but what do you think about the storage phone? 2. Do you think 13 mini needs an apple care? I want to pay it too. I appreciate your help 🙏
@Soseki - Hey really glad to hear you enjoyed the video! As for the space of you have iCloud then I’d definitely would stick to the 128gb as that’s my current situation. If you’re really planning on keeping it for a long time to come then 256gb would be great as it’ll future proof you in terms of storage space. I have Apple care on my mini just in case but if you don’t get it I’d highly recommend a case and glass screen protector as that’s what is able to keep mine safe and secure. Hope this helps and if you’ve got any other questions feel free to reach out and I’ll be glad to help.
Unfortunately Apple isn’t going to bring the mini back. You can wish hope and pray all u want but it won’t change their minds. Personally I went with the pro max because I wanted the biggest screen and the 14 plus wasn’t much of an upgrade from the 13.
@V T - I’m not sure they will but I really do hope it finds it’s way back. The pro max is great for a lot of people out there…just not the phone for me.
I did the same 3 days ago and I absolutely love the 13 mini, while I was never happy with the 13 Pro Max which I used for about 2 months.
You sure you weren't just broke?
It’s so-so
The 14 Pro (6.1) is the sweet spot! Not too small and not too big and heavy.
@Mike K555 - Definitely agree, for most people I think that size is perfect. However the mini is a much more comfortable size with basically all the features you need.
Size is fine but it's really heavy at over 200g.
@@sanjtiwari5364 Thats what I hated the most about the 13 Pro. Weight plus squared corners = one unconfortable phone to hold.
The X and the 11 are just amazing to hold.
disagree, it's waaaaay too heavy
I use the 13 Pro when out and about.
I’m on the same path as you!
@Jeremy - 13 mini is so awesome! I absolutely love the size and features and I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying it as well 😊.

@Rico-23 - That would be cool 😎
13 mini has superb vs 14 or plus in terms of speed due to processor and screen ratio. Bigger screen consumes bigger chunks of cpu
@Jhon Angel Uson - Really glad this video helped you out and I’m grateful for you watching 🙏🏽
I’m using SE2022 and it works perfectly for me. Cause i don’t even do camera things. I really use my phone as a communication device. Everything else i can do on my 14” MacBook Pro. I don’t play games.
@Alexander Riakhin- That’s awesome and how it should be. The phone you buy should be able to fulfill what you need it for 😊.
Thanks for suggesting me 13 mini and I enjoy it everyday.
@PINKY PANCHAL - The mini is a great little device and I’m glad you’ve been enjoying it 😊.
The Vacation aspect of your conversation was a great sell for me on choosing the Mini vs the Larger phone. Really appreciate you, thank you so much!
@Rene Bermudez - Glad you enjoyed that bit it was the best way I could explain what I felt. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
The biggest phone I used was LG Gflex, it was like a shoe. However, I finally switched to IOS this year after 13 years of Android because of Mini 13.
I have no idea why apple ditched the mini in the 14 series, I mean, it even got people switching to iOS

I'm using the 13 Mini as my daily driver right now. I can't carry those large phones in my pants pocket, or put it in a shirt pocket. I don't watch videos or play games on my phones. I have an iPad for that stuff. Plus the 13 Mini easily lasts me an entire day.
@HALWG51 - I totally agree with you 😊
I can’t believe the timing of your video.
Am getting the mini! Thank you, brother!
@zero gabz- Glad to hear that! You will love it as the size and everyday portability alone makes it totally worth it. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
My 12 mini got water damage so I upgraded to 14 pro, I miss the the size of the mini and how lightweight it was.
@Dean Scott - The size is my favorite aspect of it. It’s just so comfortable to use and carry which keeps it as my daily driver 😊.
Bought this for a week ago and love it . But the battery is very weak.
@Kin Motensen - Yeah the battery is the only downside otherwise it’s a perfect device 😊.

@A K - I totally agree with you and that is exactly what keeps me going for the mini. I absolutely love the size and ease of use. I also hope they will because making a 14 plus model has done even worse for them.

@davidsameh7305 - I use the pitaka line of cases. Thanks for the feedback and for watching my video 🙏🏽.

Mini definitely love the size does what it has to do
Agree 😊
I traded in my 13 pro for the 13 mini a few weeks ago. I did not like how heavy the 13 pro was I carry my phone in my pocket. I absolutely love the mini and hope they resurrect it again. For me, the 13 mini battery life has been great and it makes it through the whole day without any issue.
I’m still thinking about trading my 13 pro or not
@Oceanhikes - Yup I definitely love how it’s so light and compact. I can’t make it through all days on one charge but that’s a compromise worth making.
Hey! How you doing?
I got a 13 mini as well. Which charger do you use? How many months could you keep it with 100% of battery health?
Great video!
Greeting from Argentina,
and thanks in advance
I'm worried about the 20w charger! I've been using it for a month but now I'm aware that this could ruin the battery. As I have no chance to get a 5wcharger, I'm considering to get the 12w one
@Matias Holzman - Hey brother I’m good how are you? I use a couple of chargers to keep it juiced up…what type of charger are you asking about? Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
@Matias Holzman - You don’t need to be worried as the charger will only supply the amount of power the phone can actually handle.
@@QasimZafar thanks so much for your answer! Already suscribed ✨
@Matias Holzman - You’re welcome and thanks for subscribing I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
Just traded in my XR in for the 13 mini
Fun fact: I can buy a 2nd hand 13 Mini with >90% battery health for around the same price of a Pixel 6a whereas to find an iPhone 13 Pro Max at the same battery health it'll cost double the Mini. I love these two iPhones way more than any other iPhone.
But I can't buy any of these lol no money...
@a netizen- Yeah buying second hand is always a good option. Hope you can save up and buy one soon for yourself. Appreciate you watching the video 🙏🏽.
The 13 mini is just so ideal to use and carry on a daily basis and I’d much rather prefer the tablet and mini combo instead of having the larger pro max for everyday use.
got rid of my 12 mini for a 13. can't take the battery life
Pleeeeeeeease just use both that’s what I do just depending on the day lol 😅 I use the mini if I go fishing because then I’m just light using it not power using therefore treating it as a phone or if I’m going somewhere for a boring day then I take max therefore using more like a tablet so simple.
@Nieaj Gosalia - Totally agree with you. It’s the perfect daily driver for me and having tried different models I’m glad I’ve found the perfect phone.
@@QasimZafar but sadly now no 15 mini will be seen.... I wish in every 2-3 years gap they must bring a mini version with the latest Pro models.
@Niraj Gosalia- Yes I agree and they should’ve just replaced the SE lineup with the mini phone.
Went to buy the 14 Pro Max, left with the 13 Mini.
Not one single regret.
@Go ADHD Go! - Totally agree with you! Love the 13 mini and it’s size and I also have zero regrets.
Sent back the pro 14 for the mini 13...never going back! I love it the Mini is awesome!!!
@Nathalie T - That’s awesome 🤩 I love the mini as well 😍.
The iPhone 13 Mini is an absolute joy. Its a powerful smartphone. It’s unbeatable when it comes to ergonomics and portability. The iPhone 13 Mini is a no brainer for an average user like me.
@Jet Reyes - I agree 100%
I stay out all day and have nothing to charge my phone up I will pick Iphone 14 Pro Max over IPhone 13 mini
@Sahara Johnson - Sounds good…gotta get whatever fits your needs.
All phones or devices have their target market enthusiast i
Love and use 13 series entry level and battery life battery health still good 👌
Don’t you miss the lack of a telephoto lens on the 13 mini?
@R L - No I don’t use the telephoto lens on the pro model just the wide lens.
Great iPhones comparison!
@R L - Thanks I’m glad to hear you found the video helpful and I really appreciate you watching 🙏🏽.
@@QasimZafar when you say easy, could you do a video on how easy it was …I think many of us I’ve heard many stories and even have friends where it wasn’t so easy so if you could put a video up that showing how it’s so easy, that would be great
@jonah - Watch this from the 1:27 mark ua-cam.com/video/g5j7ILjx-BI/v-deo.html
Thank you soo much for this real-life comparison!
Could you please share your thoughts on the base Macbook Air M1 & M2 Air ?
@Md Golam Sadiq - I’d get the m2 MacBook Air as it’s got more than enough power for the everyday uses and it’ll be great for years to come. I have the M1 Pro because I edit videos but I never ever push that to the max and I’m sure I would’ve been just fine with the m2 MacBook Air. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
How the hell did you get thumbnails to show in Files??? My drive never shows thumbnails....
@Matt Lindsey - They always have showed up for me so I’m not sure because I didn’t do anything specific.
Great content and well explained, Qasim.
@Majid Waris - Thank you for the feedback brother! I really appreciate you watching the video and I’m glad it was helpful.
Went from 14 pro to 12 mini to 13 mini love my mini
@Funny Shitz - love the 13 mini, perfect size and specs.
Bro u can be a good therapist. Such a good voice and composure.
@Virat - Appreciate the kind words 🙏🏽. Really happy you enjoyed the video and definitely appreciate you watching 😊.
link me that tandoori chicken recipe
@Musawir Yasin - Haha it’s my wife’s special recipe. Comment made me laugh bro haha 😂
If Apple didn’t skimp on the battery I would’ve gotten the Mini ages ago
The majority of people have access to electricity so the battery isn't an issue
I've had a 12 mini for two years now, and it's still going strong. I'm thinking of buying a 13 mini just to keep in storage for when my 12 retires. 😆
@76Sulaco - My brother actually has had the 12 mini since launch and he’s now thinking to do the same.
Compact phones are real beast
@Ramandeep- Totally agree with you!
Of course mini! mini is the best phone.
i had the mini and got rid of it for the regular 13 i missed the mini so much i just ordered another one today
@xx - Once you experience having a mini I really think it’s too hard to go back to something else.
agreed. Hopefully the mini makes a return when mine starts to stop working
@@GuyNextGondor. it might not be another mini phone and IPhone SE4 might get cancelled
13mini
Hello the next 13 mini will be name the se 23 I think
Very beatiful love Story 🥰
@Toni Höök - Glad you loved it and thanks for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏽.
The pro max is great for a lot of people out there…just not the phone for me.
iPhone SE4 might get cancelled and it will not be another mini phone to come out
