The co star in this music video is Mic Devine. He wrote a song called "Way Down We Go". He dedicated to his friend Dave who he lost to a OD. So the emotions he shows in this music video is his real pain from his loss of his friend. I love how Joyner always gives both perspectives in his songs. "I'm Sorry" is another that hits me in my soul! He definitely knows how to reach everyone in his music! He's one of the greats that's for sure! Idk of any other musician like Joyner, NF and Tupac that make me cry listening to their songs. 🎵 🎶
Also if you dk bout addiction, there is a hereditary factor in it. DNA analysts can tell if you yourself didn't do drugs but your parents did. Not to mention ppl not really acknowledging the fact Dr's n hospitals got ppl addicted n then didn't wean them off meds.. just took them n told em bye n good luck. Js

It was the darkest point for me, at the time Juice WRLD (RIP to a Legend) helped me get out of it. If this song was out then it'd be on repeat. If anyone reads this and feels like the only time they matter is when nothing else does, call your parents, your granma, auntie, whoever and open up. If you ain't got that, there aint any shame in calling a help line. Do what you gotta do to love and respect yourself.

My Cousin overdosed in 2021 and passed away on my grandmothers birthday, what sucked even more was that he passed away a week just before he turned 23. This shit hit hard, really hard too. I remember the day of the funeral thinking to myself, if I could have been there I could have saved him.

Songs like this are much needed by artists today, and I thank Joyner for picking up the mantle and helping carry the burden. He isn't being self-serving here, rapping about his money, his jewels, or his cars. He's telling a story that needs to be told, and telling it in a way that will resonate with a lot of people. Respect

He spoke recently to Congress about Fentanyl and I thought it had a lot of impact bc he truly knew both sides of the story and had facts to back up what he said but the delivery was on point. Great reaction too Shaq! SC Strong!

Nobody helping me but me. Do drugs. Don't let the drugs do you. Moderation is key. My life ain't better or worse because of my choice to use.

Sorry man that’s just not true, I’m not trying to pick a Fight but it’s important people know this, addiction has been classified as a disease since 1987, alcoholism even early in 1956 was classified as a disease. I know you might feel it’s not a disease based on your personal experience, but if everything you said about yourself is true, I don’t think you’re an addict and probably wouldn’t be diagnosed as one, but that’s very rare and that doesn’t mean it’s NOT a disease. So saying it’s not would put you in complete contradiction to the entire medical field.

This is painful..i used to chase my mother around various drug houses around the bay area in Oakland Cali thinking i could save her..many of days i would beat on doors knowing she was behind them but dudes with guns would run me off..i had no power at the age of 15 to protect her. Just typing this made me cry and im now the age of 48 and though i placed those memories in the back of my head never to be remembered this video placed me back in that time. Jelly Roll verse is literally what i had to do.This song is a gift and a curse. Shout out from west monroe la. I thought i had escaped those memories... but clearly i have not... via this song.
