Trevor is a fucking death metal poet! His lyrics are so badass and well written. Every song is like a short detailed horror story, a vivid tale, nothing is left to own interpretation. He doesn't sing about bullshit. How your chick broke your heart, or daddy didn't love me, Mommy slept with the pool boy, my dog died. This dude is a hardcore true to metal wordsmith and is what death metal songs should be.

Ryan Knight was a monster of a player and a great fit for these dudes... But Brandon Ellis' playing is just BUTTERY. So fluent and controlled. One of the most fluid guitarists out there. Dudes got grease dispensers in his fingertips. Something about this band just attracts amazing guitar players.

Plus, he's the tightest live Metal vocalist I'm aware of O.o, his voice NEVER sounds off, he never forgets lyrics, he's always perfectly on time, and he never even does that word slurring thing other harsh vocalists start doing over time. The band's been going for nearly 2 decades now as well. Impressive \m/

He could either leave more space in between lines during writing or have Brian take some of the load off.

Not the most interesting fact: I listen to all sorts of music, from jazz, hip-hop and pop, to hardstyle, oldschool crossover like Leeway, and Nickelback.
And I absolutely LOVE The Black Dahlia Murder since forever ago and still up to this day - everything from their guitar tone, really interesting riffs and amazingly creative solos, to their unique vocals and the overall groove.

Used to be into the black dahlia murder so much especially in my early teenage years! Been off them recently, and i know this video is a couple of years old but damn one thing they will always be consistent in is their live performance! Holy shit they never disappoint. I need to see them live

So, I saw these guys back in 2005 when they opened for Behemoth and Nile. I hadn't really heard of them before and they were playing before two bands that were already legendary so I felt that had a bit of pressure on em. Their sound was all their own and they did not disappoint. The pit was crazy that night... some people just don't understand the kind of energy you find at these shows. Not saying everyone is feeling it but the ones that do, know exactly what I'm talking about.
Agreed. My first time seeing them was Ozzfest 2005....I think it was...It may have been 2004....right before Miasma came out.....HOLY SHIT! When they opened with "Built For Sin"....I instantly knew I had to have this new album! Fuck that just seems like yesterday and that was almost 20 years ago! Were getting old bro!
Edit - i guess I should elaborate....first time live....I had been rocking Unhallowed for a while before that but had never seen them live. Hell my guitar style is completely influenced by these guys. I love their style of riffing.
