Had a 2.5 hour session in them and love them. For reference I’m 6’6 220 and put a lot of torque on sneakers and never felt not having a shank was an issue for these and felt very stable. Hoop shoe of the year so far for me.
Nice bro! I think this shoe is great for what we both mention, but largely it is also a shoe that is up to personal preference. Lots will love this shoe because of the comfort, looks, ease of play.. but lots will also dislike it due to no shank, less court feel, and less stability. Love that you love them!
Might end up going to DSG for these! These are super tough and from what you said, the cushion, not much court feel, and mobile, fits my play style, thank you DG!❤️
I am waiting for a sale because my feet is still growing and 200$ for a shoe that I’ll wear 8-10 months is absurd. From what you’re saying dg this fits my play style a lot. Thanks for the great review❤
You could definitely rock these casually. Due to the no nonsense design, simple colorways, and comfort under foot. I don’t know about anyone else, but I will definitely wear these with shorts and a tee white it’s still hot or cool outside.
I bet if they put in the carbon fiber plate started by the jordan 11 as the possiblw “plate” the torsion movement and stability along with structural integrity would be much more supportive of movement. And added ankle support all would improve the aj39 design and perfomance capability.

“Some fraying” lol dude when you turned it over the shoe looked like it just got up with full bed head. That fraying looked nuts, especially so soon after
@@DGHoops Wait so the little fibrous strand sticking up like Doc Brown's hair at 1:04 is just dust? If so then you got my apologies. Still that's some crazy hairy looking dust
@@DGHoops Nah dude, I believe you. Gotta admit it looked funky from that angle though, but the lighting couldn't be helped because it's not your usual location
I was so confused between these and the gt cut 3s but i pulled the trigger on the gt 3s cause i got the Jewell Lloyd 😅plus for some reason , the heel on the 39 was toooo soft , it felt unstable , like im falling back wards 😂
The translucent rubber narrative is old. Over the last 2-3 years, they've come a LONG way with the compound used and shoes with translucent outsoles have had great traction.
I’ll definitely cop these, but I am waiting for sale because my feet is still growing so this price would be insane for a shoe that is not going to fit me in 6 months
I'm deciding between the 39, Sabrina 2, and GT Cut 3 because I want to get a shoe that has great traction, great cushioning, and lightweight compared to my Lebron 21 and Harden Vol 7. It might end up being the 39 as my choice esp. with the Black Cat colorway when it goes on sale.
@@DGHoops Yeah, that would be fine for me. I wouldn't worry about stability since I have the Move Insoles to help. One question I have is between those 3 shoes (39, Sabrina 2, and GT Cut 3), does one stick out the most to meet all 3 criteria in your viewpoint?
So I’m trying to decide between these, the gamma’s, and the wow 11. Thoughts? I play in the wow 10’s and value speed, bounce, and traction. Help 🙏! Thank you very much for the great review.
would you recommend the game day or the game day pro insole for these? i use the regular game day, but wondering if this would be better with the pro version that would provide a stiffer torsion support.
This has way more cushion than GT Cut 3 and a little more bounce. GT Cut is closer to the ground and a little more stable while the 39 feels like a bouncy cloud. Depends on what YOU like
At last I found wide footer basketball shoes reviewer. At start you said you are in Paris on behalf of Jordan brand, does that mean you are payed to be there to promote it via youtube? I agree 37 and 38s lows are painful to play in for wide footers. Also, why Jordan brand no longer do an event with the creators and Jordan to introduce the show - not even a TV ad or promo nowadays. I presume youtubers do their bidding😮.
I like just about everything about the shoe but I absolutely hate how the back of the shoe is designed. The hard material that hangs over the padding on the back collar digs into my achilles.
What the shoe lacks: No plastic or carbon shank Dull colorways. If they were going to make a black cw shoe, should have be 95-99% black. I hope they go on discount like the 38. 😅😅😂😅😂😅😂
For $200, I feel like the whole upper design is too simple. No interesting material, no fly wire, no shank plate… Not saying simple stuff doesn’t work well, but this just doesn’t feel like a flagship product imo. More like an updated version of KD12/13. I would still like to grab a pair when they’re on sale tho. Also, Great review!

Jordan flew you out??? Mans got unlimited motion

Of course bro. Try to try them on, but from what you say I think you’ll like them.

Yes, exactly what I alluded to!
W vid like always 🔥
Thanks bro.

Keep up the good work DG!
DG in Paris!🔥
Thanks man, love the people here
Those lowkey clean. Waiting for them to hit outlets🔥🔥
Yessir, very comfortable.
Missing the shank plate might be a dealbreaker for me. I have a narrow foot and the 38s are my go-to shoe for long sessions.
Was thinking same too I have narrow feet but I think these with a move insole would be better
DG en Paris! Trè for mon frere. Proud of you and keep up the amazing content/work 😎
Thank you brother.

Yo I love your videos DG, I just wanted to ask why the shoes are so pricey?
Need Bulls colorways and a triple black as well. They tripping with the colors right now
Whats wrong with the Lumier colorway? It's mostly black. It's my fav out of all of them. I actually just bought a pair on Nike app
Hey man, can you do a jordan 38 vs 39? Thanks and appreciate your videos!
39 is better, BUT 38 is comparable only if you have narrow feet. Fit in that shoe is very tough for wide and flat feet.
Great vid!! Wheres the hoodie from?
Trophy Room Jordan Collab
“Some fraying” lol dude when you turned it over the shoe looked like it just got up with full bed head. That fraying looked nuts, especially so soon after
That’s literally the dust stuck to the outsole… I have the shoe in person. I think I know what I am seeing. But what do I know maybe I’m blind.
@@DGHoops Wait so the little fibrous strand sticking up like Doc Brown's hair at 1:04 is just dust? If so then you got my apologies. Still that's some crazy hairy looking dust
@@MyManD Yes that’s dust bro I am the one who owns the shoe and can see it with my own eyes. The lighting with the translucent too made it look weird.

I have one and man..... This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever tested and I have a couple of them..

Yes that’s why I said “personally”, I don’t like how translucent rubber looks more than anything not necessarily performance wise

Yeah that makes sense to me. These will have less court feel IMO but will have amazing cushion. No problem waiting for a sale

Yo DG would you think these would be a good shoe for outside courts?
I talk about it in the video! Long explanation kind of
Do they feel heavy at all?
always make the best hoop shoe review
So I’m trying to decide between these, the gamma’s, and the wow 11. Thoughts? I play in the wow 10’s and value speed, bounce, and traction. Help 🙏!
Thank you very much for the great review.
If you have the money go with the gammas best shoe ever
the best shoe is the gammas, price only negative thing about it
Do you think they'll restock this cw on Nike. My size 12 sold out.
would you recommend the game day or the game day pro insole for these? i use the regular game day, but wondering if this would be better with the pro version that would provide a stiffer torsion support.
@@yongbeenjo The point of the Pro is that it has a stiffer plate so yes although Game Day is better for flat footers
When we gon get those ae1 lows
Next week.
Definitely stopping at 45 if it’s not obvious
That 11/34 pack gonna be crazy
Can i play in these out foors
Needs a bottom loaded plate. This is the state of the art Jordan?
this or gt cut 3? since both of them using full length zoom x foam

If I was paid to do this review I wouldn’t be allowed to say anything negative. So no.
Come on, fraying already after the first use is outrageous. Jordan brand gotta get their ish together
I like just about everything about the shoe but I absolutely hate how the back of the shoe is designed. The hard material that hangs over the padding on the back collar digs into my achilles.
Wow, I didn’t experience that. That’s a huge bummer.
Ae1 low!!!!!!
Is this the best performer by far in 2024? Or even this decade?
Decade, no. Of the year, not sure because this shoe is heavily on PERSONAL preference. It may be for YOU but not for others.
I feel like these shoes plus an insole like VKTRY would be goated
Wsg
Sounds like this would be the perfect shoes for wearing my ankles support
What the shoe lacks:
No plastic or carbon shank
Dull colorways.
If they were going to make a black cw shoe, should have be 95-99% black.
