from my knowledge you can toss glass, cardboard, plastic in the oven as a mold.. 275 F shouldn't cause damage to any tools (: YOURE awesome!! thank you for the inspiration and tips
For beginners: Glass, paper, cardboard, porcelain tiles, tin cans, and light bulbs (to name a few) are used as molds. Big tiles purchased at hardware store or glass are used to work the clay on. Though it’s non toxic, working on kitchen counter is NOT recommended. It is advised to keep kitchen items separate from those used with clay.
LOVE! When you sped your voice up talking about, "when you were in Kindergarten and whatnot" you had me laughing and a thumb up went blue. Totally want to see more with Eliza. Another tip: the bag inside your cereal box is waxed paper in case you don't have any on hand.
Not to sound all snippy, because I applaud that Eliza made this video, but just to let everyone else know-- if you're not sure what is oven-safe, you can always google the question, "is _____ safe at 250 degrees Fahrenheit?" to find out. Regular glass, like the jar she's using, is not safe. But tempered glass is safe up to about 480 dF. Most things that are made with tempered glass say "tempered glass" somewhere, usually on the bottom.
I ordered some polymer clay the other day and it's being delivered today. I'm super excited to make me some pots for my many many plants lol your pots are so beautiful!!
Not all glass is tempered for oven safety! And since I was just using an old pickle jar I didn’t want to take the risk since it’s not specifically made for high heat temperature 😅 but I’m sure if you buy mason jars or something that is glass made for the oven you should be good too 🤗
Whenever I heat-set glass paint I put the glasses into a cold oven. Then I let the glass warm up gradually as the oven warms to the temperature I have set (much higher than polymer clay temps). When finished, I shut off the oven and let the glasses cool overnight . None of my glasses were tempered and I have never lost a glass to breakage. You should have no problem using this technique when baking polymer clay because clay cures at a much lower temperature.
Thanks, that's great! I'll be ecstatic if I end up with something like your lopsided one! I want a drainage hole, have you tried that? I will just try adding the hole after taking off the foil... I don't even have the supplies yet, can't wait!
Hello, I would be very happy if you answer my question. After baking this container, can I add polymers and shapes, faces etc. to it and bake it again?
Mine had a little bit of give to them if you pinched it together like they weren’t super stiff! I think because they were pretty thin. And I have not attempted feet buuuttt if I was to do it I think I would first bake the pot for a few minutes so when you turn it over to add the feet it won’t collapse and then re bake 🤓 I hope this helps!
Hii, I really loved it and it is very nice to see a affordable home made pots but I don't have oven so can i use pressure cooker to warm or heat it . Pls anyone guide me
If you are purchasing “Polymer Clay” then the only way to have it get 100% hard is with an oven, it needs to reach really high heat to cure like 275 degrees Fahrenheit. There are other types of clay that are made for air drying! I would suggest you look into buying one of those instead 😊 Hope this helped
This video is super easy to follow! I'm going to try making my own clay pots in the next few days. Thanks!
Thankyou so much!! I'm hoping to make a bunch of cute little seedling pots themed around random grass type Pokemon
This turned out great! Thanks for the tutorial, I'm gonna start on mine now 😊
This looks so awesome! Thanks for your tutorial, I will try this at home soon :-)

I am not social, I like plants. If I can make pots at home, that is fewer people I need to interact with.
Yaaasss girl love it! 👏
Thank you ❤️

Woohoo it was a super fun project! Just don’t forget to poke holes on the bottom of them for drainage like I did 😬😂 Happy Gardening 🤗
Great job mija, I am going to start making pots too, looks easy and fun, can't wait for your next one.👍✨😍
Thank you for the support 💕 let me know how your pots turn out 💪🏼
glass won't shatter in the oven, lots of glass cookwear. it's safe to bake in to hold shape even more :)

i just started using polymer clay and extremely am a beginner at it but this was such a cool idea!!! thank you for this video
Thank you for watching! Most of my crafts are beginner related so I’m right there with you! 🤣

Miss you too ❤️ thank you for the support!

I like the wiggly ones better--lol....
Should have cut holes in the bottom for drainage though....succulents really need good drainage....
I thought the same thing... but it didn’t cross my mind till after I was done with the video 🤣
Nice
Grate video I’m waiting for my polymer to turn up. How would I join some little feet on the bottom? And are they bendy once they’ve been oven baked

Hi there! im planning to do the same project , so when polymer clay is baked it can be waterproof?
Yes it it waterproof once baked! So if you are making plant holders I suggest adding holes to the bottom for drainage 😬 I forgot that step 🤣
How long would it take to bake ?
good luck
👍
It is okay instead using oven , it's okay just let it dry in the sun ?

Hlo
Ok the baby voice was super annoying I had to keep fast forwarding
Very useful comment. 🫵
Your changing voice is SO annoying!!!
The voice has to go. Way too annoying and distracting.
That’s the style of my channel 😊 I know it’s not for everyone 🤷🏽♀️
