Haha the intro cracked me up 😂 don't worry you weren't completely wrong. Mamamoo can definitely dance but it wasn't their main priority then focusing on performance and vocals. But in 2019 they really challenged themselves to change that misconception from gogobebe, HIP Dingga and Aya now. Also they can all dance, sing and rap - multifaceted queens! wheein name is 휘인 so first syllable is hwi (same as hwasa but instead of being an A it's an I -ee-). and second syllable is "in -een-"... but because it's two same vowels together, korean people just say it like all one syllable with a slight longer "i" sound. like "hwin" so, soft h sound (some korean people even ellide the h and so it sounds like a "w" like "win" with a long i:) and then all together in one syllable.

I'll try to help you with the names you butchered lol (don't worry - happens all the time). Hwasa - It's not Hawasa. There's no vowel between the H & W. Just add a bit of H breathiness to Wasa (like wasabi). Moonbyul - Monbull? That's a first. Moon like the moon plus Byul. To say Byul slur a B into Yul (as in the actor Yul Brynner) without adding a vowel sound between the B & Y: B'yul. It takes a bit of practice but B'you'll get it. Wheein - Make it easy and just say Wee + In: Wee-in. I think your impression of Hip as a mashup is probably because kpop often blends different styles, genres and sounds from all eras of music. They'll take a musical idea from one genre and play it over a rhythm from another so for example Mamamoo has several songs that combine bossa nova with r&b. In Hip I hear elements of ska (the 60's guitar riff and the horns) but they're played over a completely different beat. Btw, all members have a successful solo career on the side, not just Hwasa. I believe MMM is the only kpop group to have all members hit Billboard's international chart as soloists while the group was still active. 2NE1 also did it after they disbanded. Also, all the members sing, rap, dance well, write songs and up until 2019 they did their own choreography. Hwasa is the 2nd member of the rap line, tho she doesn't do much of it these days, and Solar and Wheein rap on a few songs.
