    Annie, great job! Your body is definitely losing weight and becoming stronger and healthier from the inside, even if the measurements did not change yet. I think maybe I am losing a little bit of one of the “tummy rolls” I dislike so much. Keep on working, moving, and making those good choices! Let’s all fight the good fight today! 🤗
    Cheers from Lynn in Hallsville, Missouri USA

      Thank you Lynn, that's a good way to think of it! We're on a roll now (a good kind of roll!), we just have to keep on going and we'll get there. Have a brilliant week and please let me know how you're doing xo

    Well done on another good week. I'm sure I can see the weight loss in your face, you're looking slimmer. Another tactic to sneak in more exercise is to get up and do something while the TV adverts are on. A couple of minutes activity, then settle back down again in time for your programme to re-start. It's kind of like the human equivalent of cat zoomies. When they rush around the house at top speed before cosying up on the sofa again as if they'd never moved an inch.

      hehe love that "human zoomies! " Funny enough, years ago I used to do what I called "advert housework", I should def try that with my activity snacks, thanks Valerie :) xo

    Congratulations Annie on another successful week. I know you don't see it in yourself but you do look slimmer in your face. I used a very clingy top every time I weighed myself so I could compare the same thing in the mirror and that really felt and showed the changes. Any movement is valid, I dance to the kettle,to the fridge and I call it movement rather than the E word.

      Thank you! I must say I am looking forward to the time when I've reached my goal and doing a little montage of all my twirls to see the progression! My husband was telling me this morning that he can see a difference in my back, which I hadn't even thought about and of course wouldn't show up ijn the measurements I'm doing really, so that's encouraging too. hehehe I shall be dancing everywhere now and certainly the "e" word is banned! :D xo

      Thank you so much Alison - funny enough I was just aling about it all with my husband and he says he has noticed a difference in my back, ie less fat rolls (though he didn't use that word!), so I guess it is coming off all over, not just where i'm measuring of course. Sending you positive vibes for this week, please do let me know how you get on - don't look back, just keep moving forwards and we can do this together wooHOOO!! :) xo

      It is a really good app, works for me anyway and I like that you can change to lots of different diet and exercise regimes within the same site and use it however suits you best. At the moment I'm still on the introductory price which was only £1 a week for the first 3 months I think, but I think I'll keep it going at least until I hit my target and maybe for a few weeks after to get settled into the maintaining phase. I found it through the NHS website, but it's a separate thing, so it may be available in other countries, maybe I'll ask them and I can let you all know next time. Thanks for the cheerleading as always Paula! :) xo

    • @artyfartyannie
      @artyfartyannie 25 днів тому

      Ah we have to have off days and off weeks sometimes, they will just be blips when you look back - just keep moving forward, we're getting there inch by inch! Ooooh here's a recipe to try if you love icecream - just cut a banana into chunks, spread them out on something flat and freeze them, then whizz with roughly equal amount of fat-free yoghurt (I use the thick strained kind) using a stick blender or food processor. It immediately turns into a soft-whip icecream consistency, but you can then put it into a container and freeze it. I usually eat some straight away and freeze the rest for later to stop myself eating it all at once! You can also add extra fruit if you like and I guess you could add sweetener, but I don't feel like it needs it. It eats like a real treat but it's just banana and fat-free yoghurt so it's much better for you than icecream :) xo

    Well done Annie, you’re still losing weight and slowly is much better than massive losses you can’t maintain. Have you tried to add in some walking? I use the NHS Active 10 app. Last week whilst I was away in Cornwall I had massive step counts but unfortunately I paid for it and felt the pain in all my joints xx

    • @artyfartyannie
      @artyfartyannie 25 днів тому

      Thanks Ruth - yes, initially I was walking every day, but I've let myself fall out of the habit again. There is a walking program within the app I'm using, so I might try that to get myself going again. It sounds daft, but when the weather changed so that I couldn't go out with my big coat on, I felt all self-conscious and stopped my daily walks, but having said that with the way the weather is at the moment I could put the coat on again, so there's really no excuse, I just need to get the habit going again. I know what you mean about the joint pain, I really feel it in my hips and knees when I've done even a 45 minute walk! When I lived in Cornwall years ago, my kids and I used to walk everywhere with no problem - here in Norfolk, the walking is much easier as it's so flat in comparison, but I've become very lazy. It's changing gradually though and hopefully losing weight will help my joint pain too, fingers crossed :) xo

      @@artyfartyannie you shouldn’t feel self-conscious on your walks without your coat, you’re on your weight loss journey, be proud of the small losses, they all add up. I absolutely hate wearing coats, I get all hot and bothered. I’ve gain weight over the last couple of years and don’t feel comfortable in my body, I’m trying to gain control of my weight like you. I have no excuse, I’m sat behind a desk at work and I know I need to move more but when I get home from work I struggle to motivate myself to go out for a walk..I’m too quick to change out of my work clothes and find my comfort zone on the sofa. I’m going to set goals..no 1 - go for a walk when I get home before I step indoors 👍
