I remember having an argument with my ex about 5 or 6 years ago and walking out, I went to Sleazy's in Glasgow and these guys were playing, was a pretty perfect outcome. So good to see them doing well.
I remember hearing this song live for the first time. I was standing in front of the stage and suddenly I realised I was crying. I'll never forget this moment.
She did me terribly and shattered my heart but I'll never forget the music she introduced me to. I'm two weeks into the heartbreak but I'm glad I can listen to this and reflect on it all.
Bands like this give you hope that music is not completely doomed to be ruined by the ilk that most major studios put out. Thank you college radio and pandora for helping to discover this incredible band!!!
Just watched their last KEXP live sesion. I'm so proud of how much they have grown as musicians and artists. They are so raw, honest and talented. Love them.
my dad introduced me to this band, and he was lucky enough to see them live. I absolutely love them, and everyone I get to listen to this, and quiet little voices gets addicted to the songs.
Jack I'd rather say the opposite, though. They're not picky enough, seeing how the masses are happy with low quality, mass produced "music" from mass produced, industrial "artists" (they only exist to please audiences, being slaves to the public opinion, taking no risks... so they don't create real art, but rather music based on formulas that they know will work on the masses)... people don't ask for good content at all, but rather just stay with what they know will always work... so "picky" is the last thing I'd call them. I'm not sure if it is the industry or the masses' fault that this is as it is, though.
S I N G ! [Verse 1] Right foot followed by a left foot We'll guide you home before your curfew And into your bed Standing on our tip-toes Peering through open windows I swear I heard my name [Verse 2] Sitting with the lights off Waiting for my brain to storm Trying to work things out It's thunder and it's lightning And it's all things too frightening I could barely see outside [Chorus] Your body was black and blue Been struck twice there's nothing new Your body was black and blue Been struck twice there's nothing new Your body was black and blue Your body was black and blue Your body was black and blue Your body was black and blue Your body was black and blue Your body was black and blue Your body was black and blue Your body was black [Post-Chorus] And there's thunder And there's lightning Coming home And there's thunder And there's lightning Coming back [Chorus] Your body was black and blue Your body was black and blue And your body [Outro] I have to say goodnight I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights I have to say goodnight I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights I have to say goodnight I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights I have to say goodnight I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights I'm leaving
He may be the loudest singer I've ever heard. 2 nights ago when they opened for Jimmy Eat World, he spent half the set standing 5 feet from the mic, screaming into it...we could have heard him clearly in the 15th row or so without a mic, even over the other instruments.
sometimes I decide to go on a joy ride, turn this song all the way up and just jam.. i find myself going 20 miles over the speed limit by the time I lose my voice
This band is so underrated ._.
seconded......

I remember having an argument with my ex about 5 or 6 years ago and walking out, I went to Sleazy's in Glasgow and these guys were playing, was a pretty perfect outcome. So good to see them doing well.
Jim Lupton Thats probably the coolest thing I've heard all day
I remember hearing this song live for the first time. I was standing in front of the stage and suddenly I realised I was crying. I'll never forget this moment.
Awe
This band deserves a whole stadium
She did me terribly and shattered my heart but I'll never forget the music she introduced me to. I'm two weeks into the heartbreak but I'm glad I can listen to this and reflect on it all.

Just discovered them today and they’re amazing
If you like these guys try twilight sad, both great Scottish bands
Damn so glad I got to see them twice in Portland.
The crescendo after 'black and blue' gives me shivers no matter how many times I listen to it.
I’m suffering that I can’t see this live anymore
THE ENERGY OF THIS SONG...also the name of this band is awesome...
Where is our jetpacks.. hmmm?

And it's lightning
Coming home
And it's thunder
And it's lightning
Coming back
For anyone watching this and think this how they sound live, don't fear! These guys fucking crushed it last night, in Portland.
Part of the impeccable sound quality here is that it's at the Doug Fir. Never seen a show here that wasn't mixed near perfectly.
I think I just fell in love with this song/band all over again.
Just watched their last KEXP live sesion.
I'm so proud of how much they have grown as musicians and artists. They are so raw, honest and talented.
Love them.
They are absolutely amazing.
best drummer ive heard since reni if this band don,t make it massive the world must be deaf loving it big time
This song is everything.
It gives me those Shameless vibes.
I was reminded of how much I liked this band from watching the third episode of BBC Scotland's "A View From The Terrace".
These guys have a solid connection, and Adam seems like he's apart of the lyrics when he sings. Love it.
Art. His voice is amazing!
An amazing song.I saw them the last weekend on Coachella. The best band that I´ve heard on this year.
Beautiful. Came back to this looking at lightning in my village. Allipalli.

Saw these guys with Bear Hands and The Lonely Forest in Indianapolis, IN back in 2010. The best show I've ever been to.

This was 10 years ago. My god...
Yeeaah! I get to see these guys and Explosions in the Sky on the 18th, a day after my b-day!
my dad introduced me to this band, and he was lucky enough to see them live. I absolutely love them, and everyone I get to listen to this, and quiet little voices gets addicted to the songs.
Why these band are not famous? The radio now and days sounds so bad! I love this greetings from Holland
Because people are way too picky about music (for the most part.)
Seeing them tomorrow in DeKalb, and I doubt I'll get any sleep tonight in anticipation!
I was listening to Frightened Rabbits and they were listed as a related artist and holy sh*t instant fan
outstanding song. I truly love it. great sound.

These guys sound so much better live in person. Saw them in Norman OK and it was bad ass.
Seen them play in Edinburgh the other night. Surprised how good they were to be honest!

S I N G !
[Verse 1]
Right foot followed by a left foot
We'll guide you home before your curfew
And into your bed
Standing on our tip-toes
Peering through open windows
I swear I heard my name
[Verse 2]
Sitting with the lights off
Waiting for my brain to storm
Trying to work things out
It's thunder and it's lightning
And it's all things too frightening
I could barely see outside
[Chorus]
Your body was black and blue
Been struck twice there's nothing new
Your body was black and blue
Been struck twice there's nothing new
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black
[Post-Chorus]
And there's thunder
And there's lightning
Coming home
And there's thunder
And there's lightning
Coming back
[Chorus]
Your body was black and blue
Your body was black and blue
And your body
[Outro]
I have to say goodnight
I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights
I have to say goodnight
I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights
I have to say goodnight
I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights
I have to say goodnight
I'm leaving before you're punching out my lights
I'm leaving
