Hi Bill! We were the young couple 40:18 on board who got married and spoke to you both earlier in the week in the silent disco! Thank you for capturing some of our first dance and your kind words. We love your videos and thank you for the previous video on Queen Anne that filled us with confidence for booking our big day on board. Was great to meet you both and hope you had a lovely Christmas and new year! Xx
Hi Bets! Lovely to hear from you again. It was such a special moment seeing the both of you take your first dance in the Queens Room. Weddings are so meaningful on a cruise ship. You'll have memories for life. Best wishes to you both, and hoping 2025 is a fantastic year!
@@ritzytravelguide thank you again! Was lovely to meet you and hopefully we’ll catch you again as we have a couple booked for this year! Hope you have a lovely year also and can’t wait to see where it takes you! Cheers 🥂
The best UA-cam video I have ever seen, you have outdone yourself Bill. Looking forward to seeing your far east adventure (but not convinced my bank manager will agree). Best of UA-cam right here, keep up the amazing work
Your children are as gorgeous as all the Christmas sights and lights. Perfect fusions of their equally good-looking parents. May the new year prove as wondrous and memorable as the old for you and yours.
We were on this cruise and your wonderful vlog will be a great reminder of such a fantastic holiday. It was our second time aboard Queen Anne too, and it certainly won't be our last. We were lucky to meet you and your lovely wife to say hello. You are just as charming and funny in real life as you are in your videos. Many thanks from Andrea and Steven x
Hi Andrea and Steven! That's so kind of you to say. We were absolutely delighted to meet the both of you as well. It was indeed a lovely, festive cruise. P.s. I'm still trying to find a jacket the same colour as Steven was wearing. Very dapper!
Now that I watched your entire video, I must say it was fabulous. Yes you had wonderful photos, but best of all was your style and personality. Whether on the ship or in the Christmas markets, you kept me mesmerized. Thank you for a great job.
I enjoy some travel videos on UA-cam, usually Cruise content because that is my vacation of choice. I never offer comments on youtubers, as most are not worthy. But I have become hooked on your presentation videos, and you deserve recognition for putting out a quality product. The photography and narration are very well done, graphics, edit, music etc., better than Television. You alone are responsible for 2 of my trips because of the presentation of your experience. Thank you and keep up the supreme work.
Hi Bill, This is a truly exceptional video memory of our cruise and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and your charming wife again on board Queen Anne. Like you, we thoroughly enjoyed our time on board and the Christmas markets. Many thanks for capturing these wonderful memories. Look forward to your next UA-cam video. Tony and Karen
Hi Tony and Karen. Thank you so much, and it was such a lovely surprise to see both of you again, onboard. Both times on Cunard. I wonder which ship we'll bump into next time. Perhaps something exotic like an expedition cruise to the Galapagos, or the islands of Tahiti. What an adventure that would be!
This is an excellent episode. We love how we're getting more infusion of your personalities while the production values continue to impress. Enjoy "Mrs. Ritzy's" point of view. We were on a Christmas cruise last year on Celebrity that was MUCH LESS produced and much more frenetic than this experience looks like. Thanks again Bill!
Good for you. It’s about time people found your fabulous channel. You’ve created a wonderful style unique to you. And it’s great having your beautiful family part of your video. Now back to watching.
Wonderful video, Bill, such a beautiful ship and your video was really fun. We also did Christmas in the Caribbean with Oceania in 2022 and a Christmas Markets cruise on the Danube with Avalon in 2023 so it is a really fun comparison. I am looking forward to your Cunard ship comparison of the 4 ships. We used to cruise with Cunard many years ago, but, tried some others due to scheduling and really enjoy Viking, Oceania ane the new Edge class of Celebrity. Your videos on Cunard make me want to go back and try them again, even if I have to dress up a bit more than I would normally do. Thanks so much for sharing.
That's very kind of you to say, thank you Lou. You had 2 very contrasting Christmas cruises there, I'm sure they were both charming in different ways. Cunard certainly isn't the only company offering Northern European sailings for Christmas, but they certainly do them nicely, and in the time honoured traditional way. We enjoyed it! The Cunard comparison video might ruffle a few feathers. Not intentionally so, (as I will attempt to be as fair and even handed as possible), but it will be just my opinion... and Cunarders have their personal favourites between the 4 ships. It's pretty much guaranteed whatever I say, someone will think I've got it the wrong way round!! Once again, many thanks for your kind words
@@ritzytravelguide you are very welcome, I really enjoy your channel, espcially your review of foods and your efforts to sneak a few desserts here and there that you wife doesn't find out about, lots of fun.

Absolutely loved this video. It was so much fun to watch. You were so relaxed and enjoying the moment. What a beautiful family. Great memories for everyone. Look forward to your future videos. Wishing you a very happy healthy new year.
Bill - What a wonderful video! I’m now sold on a Christmas cruise on Cunard. The price seems very reasonable as well. Thanks so much for that exhilarating video. I enjoyed seeing your family. How about a video about you and your family? We would love to hear your history. Thanks again!
Hi Tom, thank you very much for your kind thoughts. We did enjoy the cruise. I'm not sure the world is ready for a dedicated video about the family! But I'll try to include more, little by little as we go along!
Congratulations on a beautiful merry Christmas. So glad to see your stateroom and that it is very appealing. Your previous Queen Anne presentation left me with a deplorable sense that cabins are uniformity awful. My last two Cunard voyages I gave up on the dinning room. Thanks Again
Hi Joseph, Happy New Year to you. It was a merry Christmas aboard. We had a lovely time. The Britannia Balcony cabins are nice, and we do like the colour scheme as well
Hello Bill. Happy New Year from Montreal. Didn't the ladies look lovely, in their finery and gowns for the Masquerade evening, and the men also looked very Smart, indeed !! I'm so glad your QA Christmas Cruise was a fine experience this time around. While she has her lumps, I think, if you can afford to cruise on ANY ship at Christmas, especially a Cunard Ship, complaining about the lumps, takes a back seat to the entire experience. And the ladies all looked beautiful. It was a lovely voyage to experience vicariously ... And in the words of Tiny Tim ... "God Bless Us Everyone !!"
Hello Jeremy, happy New Year to you in Montreal. I'm sure it looks very snowy, and white with you at this time of January. Thank you so much for your comments and kind words. Yes, Cunard ships are a fine choice for a Christmas Cruise!
I didn't want this video to end! I too am an Eggs Benedict fan, would be at the railing watching the sunrise with you and trying every sweet treat offered! Absolutely delightful video! Hope Cunard offers you a free trip for convincing all of us we must take this cruise 😊❤
Hi Kathy, what a lovely comment to read, thank you so much. It was a beautiful sunrise that morning, and we were stood there for an hour, watching the ship glide into Zeebrugge. Not sure that Cunard will ever oblige with a complimentary trip, they rarely contact us!
Don't worry if you miss out on the afternoon tea in The Queens Room ( although the theatre of it is splendid), they do serve it every day in the buffet and it was nice to eat it chilling by the pool. Pool does have a cover and I highly recommend the Wellness Cafe.
They “popped” the Daily Programme under the door? Is that new? Usually it’s laid out beautifully with a couple chocolates on the bed when one returns from a night out. Please tell me I don’t have to lean over and pick up the DP now??!! Thank you for great entertainment and information. And I’m glad your wife is giving more input into the videos, she calls it as it is. No mincing around!
Hi John, great to hear from you. Yes, you're absolutely right, they do still put the Daily Programme on the bed with chocolates, it was just that one occasion, I was in the shower and thought it might be 'Harry Potter style' if I asked the cabin steward to slide it under the door. He duly obliged! I'm really happy wherever my Wife helps with video commentary. As you say, no mincing at all!
I love your breakfast choices Bill! I hope to mark off a Christmas cruise from the bucket list! Happy New Year to you and your family. Love from snowy Colorado. - Michell
Great video! All our recent Cunard cruises have had very hit or miss food in Britannia. Sometimes great, sometimes truly awful. Also sweet treats that look beautiful but aren't tasty.
Another well presented review Bill, well done! IMHO Cunard have shot themselves in the foot by abondoning their Cunard USP . Queen Anne, though new and shiny looks just like many other ships in that sector. Food has to be a major factor for cruise addicts. If the food is not good , then this impacts upon the cruise experience. I for one will be giving the Queen Anne a wide berth.
For many years, I've wanted to visit Bruges at Christmas, but being on the other side of the world from me, it won't ever happen, unfortunately. Thank you for showing this beautiful place.
Hi Joan. Thank you so much. Yes Bruges is gorgeous, sorry to hear you won't see it in person, hopefully we brought a little of it's character to you, via the video
I think most non-fans of Cunard like the classic decor of their other ships but dislike the sedate activities and the formality. Interesting that Cunard decided to keep the activities and formality but ditch their classic ship decor to attract these customers.
Hi. That's a very good and clear assessment. My prediction is that Cunard will slowly convert over some of the venues and facilities on the older ships, to accommodate the parts that have proven to work well on Queen Anne.
@@ritzytravelguide I think the decor of a cruise ship does not need to be consistent in all areas. Cunard could have kept their iconic and well loved interior style in the atrium and MDR and library, and introduced a modern style in other venues.
@@ritzytravelguidemine was a princess cruise though panama. My kids didn’t think it felt very christmassy, I agree with them. Xmas ended up just feeling like every other day on the cruise. Other cruise lines may be better.
