i've tried listening to other renditions of this song and this is by far my favorite. when i listen to a different performance it just makes me want to come back and listen to this one instead
Go hiontach. This is some of the best whistle playing I've ever heard. Bearing in mind that I first picked one up in national school nearly 40 years ago and that I live in Co Clare and have had a chance to listen to some great players throughout my life. This really is fantastic and thanks for sharing. 👍
L'interprétation de Farewell to Erin est tout simplement hallucinante de beauté musicale et de précision technique, j'en suis tout simplement scotché, un immense bravo à vous et à votre collègue au bodhran....
Wow! Those crans on part 2 of Bucks of Oranmore. The variations of Farewell to Erin. Hats of my friend. I consider myself to be a decent whistle player bu you, sir is a true master! Amazing skill!! You also seems to be a multi instumentalist. Even more impressive! Thanks for sharing!
Wow this is one of my favorite whistle tunes I’ve heard. It’s sounds amazing. Looks like you’re multi-talented in music. How long have you been playing the whistle?
Hey thanks so much for dropping a comment! I'm glad you love this tune. I love it too! I started playing the whistle in high school, so about 15 years ago now.
Hey Fred thanks for the comment! It's a Michael Burke cylindrical bore high D whistle. A fantastic whistle with plenty of punch and not terribly expensive either.
@@KevinElamMusic "sordo" means deaf - "sordinella" is a mute that is used on soprano recorders. But still, I have no idea what he is asking. That aside, great playing and I had never heard of a bodhran - what a great combo (bodhran and tin whistle). God bless...
Wow, so beautiful. That's why I'm learning flute, for the possibility to play such songs, most preferably in the forest
This is gorgeous. Well done guys!

I'm glad you enjoy it! Are you a whistle player yourself?
@@KevinElamMusic I am! I bought a Killarney and have been learning a few songs. It's so much fun. What kind of whistle are you using in this video?

this version of 'Bucks' is so good, imo it's as good as the Matt Molloy one.
That is extremely high praise! Thank you so much! I have to disagree, I think Matt is untouchable, but I appreciate the comment :)
@@KevinElamMusic But it's totally way up there my man.

La sordinella va bene anche per il sopranino?
Sorry - What is a "sordinella" ?

Thanks for the input on the Italian! And, glad you enjoyed it. Yep, bodhran and whistle is one of the classic combos in Irish music.
It ’s cool even when you ’re not drunk.
Lol!! I can appreciate that.
Keep your wives safe - mans got nimble fingers and breath for days
Okay that got a chuckle out of me! Thank you
Brilliant 😂
He sure could whistle to the pretty ladies .
And, I know you guys could go even faster.
To think I'd have to make my own reply ...
Hey Simon! thanks for the comments. You're right, we could go faster, but there's really no need sometimes!
