      @@briansfishtanks zero presently, have been out of it for past 3 years but currently shopping different places for tanks.. Would like to eventually get a MBU puffer tank and and either a fh, dovii, or pike for starters. Guess it all depends on how much the wife will tolerate lol
      Do have any pike? And you keep dovii currently don't you? Thought I remember seeing fry just not the parents..

    • @j_toledo419
      @j_toledo419 5 років тому

      And most will completely depend on tank size, really bothers me when I see people keeping MBU's in tanks with other similar sized fish

    the trimac fry behaviour is really interesting. it's probably wrong, but i do have a guess about what might be causing that. the trimac's mouth is slightly upturned compared to other amphilophus species and other central american cichlids in general for that matter. it makes me wonder if trimacs prefer feeding off the surface slightly more than their relatives? just a quick theory. like i say, i doubt it's right. but just sharing my thoughts!
    thanks as always for the update video--great to see the trimacs with their fry especially.
