Just found a hoop on the side of the road with broken backboard. If it’s still there, I’m doing this today!! This was the simplest and straightforward video. Thank you!
Quarantine got me bored so big thanks bruh 🙏🏾
Thank you, man. Your video save so much money for me.
We have the same exact backboard and frame. This is great, we will buy our supplies today! Thanks
This repair will work but if you want the acrylic to be stronger just take the rim off and drill the holes. Removing that piece creates a potential to crack but other than that, good job!
Cool video,hey look it's snowing outside ❄
Great video .!!! I loved the end, it was truly funny 😁
Awesome video, thank you
I love the snow effects you put at the end of the video! 🤣🤣
it was an effect? I didn’t even see thru it lol
Elicio p you must not live in Chicago it happens a lot especially in November

Awesome Job, you make it look simple. How much out of pocket for supplies. I am going to do this to mine. :)

How much did it all cost?
i dunked and my entire backboard shattered thanks a million
Chicago ❤️
What about rounding off the edges?
Yes,.. raping the edges off. Where to have this clear plastic?
Cool
Interesting advice. I am looking into doing this repair. You think screwing into the glass is ok? What is the best material for backboard? Plexiglass or some other material?
Where did you buy the plexiglass? Any thickness suggestions?
@team57, is your backboard still good 2 years later?
Awesome repair, been 2 years. How's the duct tape holding up? My white lines are all faded and chipping away. I would like to redo but not sure which route to take. My backboard is glass
Use UV resistant vinyl tape, available in all colors.
Y’all blew up I went to school with one of y’all I think
I've had my hoop for 8 years, backboard broke at year 5 and now I have an inground hoop, if its more than 3 things broken just replace the whole thing
Bro wish I could but they cost to much
@@daylott8062 it's what I was thinking its been a year and a bit and it's well worth out money, nothings broken, I hang on it and everything, it cost in total ab 2k aus, including concrete and bball hoop
But that size sheet of OPTIX Acrylic must have been well over $100!
It's still a sweet DIY project and video nice to do with the kids very cool but whole hoop could be replaced at price of these parts.
