You did amazing in your process! I don't know anyone else that applied to 20+ medical schools and received an interview invite from all but 3. I understand the post-interview rejection feeling as CCLCM was the only program that rejected me post-interview. Gut-punch but it all worked out in the end. Congrats on your success and I hope you're doing well in medschool!
Thank you, I appreciate that! It definitely is not a good feeling but I know you are going to do amazing at whatever medical school you choose! Rooting for you in your journey!!
I hate that some of these schools send you secondaries already knowing they won’t accept you so they can get your money. There should be laws against this 😂😂
Great!!! Duke and Cleveland clinic are amazing!!! However, many of the people at the Cleveland clinic can be a$$holes with attitude but I don’t know ur specialty of field so I don’t know. It’s an amazing hospital too btw and so is Duke!!
Love when people make these videos. I bet you're kicking yourself in the foot for not attending Albert Einstein, lol. I'm sure you love your medical school though, and you deserved it! Congrats!
Thank you for sharing - I was wondering to ask for some advice as a non traditional with a low GPA with a strong upward trend. I’ve been worried with an overall cumulative gpa of 3.18 after a post bac, 3.4 science gpa (due to taking a lot of sciences later), and a 507 MCAT with a low CARS. I feel confident with the rest of my application, just worried about my stats, especially the low GPA. I have averaged a 3.8 GPA for the last 70 units - my freshman and sophomore GPA were very poor, but I am not the same student during that time. Should I be worried about not getting into an allopathic medical school or an interview? I know DO medical schools would be a good fit for me from what I have been told. However, I have always aimed to get to allopathic medical schools. Sorry for a lot of the information, and thank the for the content and help.
I am sure your stat plus your experience since you are non-traditional student can help you get into MD school with good secondary essays and personal statements
I think that having an upward trend is great and you definitely still can get into an MD school with those stats. I think how you tell your story and secondaries will be important! You got this!
Congrats! Are you going to become a general doctor or do you plan to become a specialist? If you want to be a specialist, what do you want to specialize in?

@@shadaekn You are so welcome!
HUGE CONGRATS!!! Do you mind sharing more insight about how you framed your application???

Praise God! This is exactly what I needed, wishing you the best in your journey!
Here in Canada the process is insane as there is less then 3000 seats in the entire country so many applicants are going to states. Good luck 🎉
God is forever good. Congratulations future Dr!
Do u mind sharing ur stats and EC? This would be very helpful for applicants! Congrats!

which fields do you feel generally have attitudes?
@@blightinterpolation the field of vascular surgery at the Cleveland clinic has been toxic from recent years but I don’t know now

Do you get tired or burn out? Also what university/college did you go to.
your sweater is sooo cute, where is it from??
I ordered it through a student organization during my time at UMiami, I’m not sure if you can get it online!

Thank you! I think I will become a specialist but not sure in what exactly yet!
What were ur stats?
I’m guessing around 512-515 or higher because that’s what most of the schools had
einstein is free btw
Nah, she didn’t know that. That’s why she decided to matriculate into a school that also gives her a free ride …
