As a teenager, I became a Sea Cadet and met several Top Gun pilots at NAS Miramar during a 2 week training. Shout out to Psycho and Trigger, both F14 pilots, and SSGT Rodney Danzler for helping a young man earn his wings.

I been there. The flight deck was crazy for hours. Catching them was just as busy. The monsoon we went through off the coast in that part of the world was insane. I have remembered some of that fondly. I was an electrical trouble shooter in VF2. Now I'm just an old guy who can't even walk well. Tommy

Never Ends till this Fat Lady Sings. I still to this day adore a swing wing. Close then Gone! The Issue was the speed of positioning the wings. I love Anime and Robotech comes to mind. A Versatile Fighter that can be close air support and MACH 2.5 Interceptor. Working on that.
My Son is getting the rare privillage of going up on what the Air Force calls an incentive ride in one of these soon. He had his physical for it last week. . idk.. i imagine that much speed must be insanely forceful. It will be in an f 14 Tomcat because this jet has two seats. (theres only the pilot seat in the F35s which are the jets he's repairing for them) A fellow Airman who is an F14 Jet Pilot is taking him up. should satisfy his need for speed and he can trade that crotch rocket in for a motorcycle lol :) I am so excited for him! Oh what a magnificently sensational experience for him. Thank you all for your service and for giving him this rare opportunity. Love Mom
F14s are retired and we have no air worthy ones left. They are also a Navy jet not an Air Force one. He is probably getting a ride in a two seat F16 or F15
Have you flown or ridden in a jet before? I think I would pass out or lose my stomach??.. idk When I asked him if he's ready to go faster than the speed of sound he says.. " I dont know I guess I have to be." I said right..
@@SplitSStudios Yes you were right that it would probably be a different jet. It was an f15 he went up a couple of months ago in . He said, "Oh! Ma it was great! I puked!" Haha I said nothing:) just AMAZING! I cannot even imagine how heavy that much speed forces on the human body. AIR FORCE sent them out west on a training seminar which my Son with a few other soldiers were fortunate to be selected to go up with an Airforce Pilot for what they call incentive flights . He is an Avionics technician for the F-35. He helps people learn how to repair them now as well. No doubt about it I know whatever incentives he has earned the rare privileges of.. These opportunities are just that, earned. He decided he was going into the Air Force , hit the ground running and has been beast mode, A game, no shit, Ace achievement academic award ☆ status ever since. I am certain he is doing above and beyond his very best for everyone at all times. You Earned that cruise Son. YES SIR You did! Love you from Mama 💜🛫🤗
