Did you ever feel that your forearm gets sore practicing this for long 10 minute bursts when you were learning? I lift weights all the time but its the fast twitch muscle fibers that are activated, its different than what you would use while lifting something heavy. I guess its best to practice in short bursts than but more frequently. Im probably tensing up, perhaps these techniques are best to learn while slightly inebriated :).
Thank you Ben.. My Yamaha 172 arrives here in Mililani Hawai'i on the 17th of July ..can't wait to get going on a actual guitar, instead of practicing things just with my imagination. 👌 Love YOUR playing and these helpful vids. ~ Aloha
Ben, I'm very serious about taking this up and making good progress (by "this" I mean all the techniques you've shown, not just "Alzapua"). What is the minimum hours a day I need to practice in order to be fluid with this in a few or more years? Please, thank you? (Hint: My "outside" goal to be "performable" is 10 years)
As with any UA-cam video, you can use the gear icon to slow any video down 75%, 50%, and even 25% without changing the pitch. Also, it's a video, so if you missed something, feel free to watch it again. These are the reasons I dont go slow with my instruction. Also, not everyone is a beginner.
@@BenjaminWoods hahah ok relax dont get angry 😀 i know i can slow the video down but i mean you change songs and techniques fast.tjx for the responce anyway cheerz

After 6 months of Alzapua you'll probably feel like you're making some progress.

Of course. It's a very tense technique, like a controlled spasm. Go lightly and take it easy. Dont hurt yourself.
Sounds good, thanks. Great tutorials by the way.
Amazing....

40hrs. a day if you wanted to achieve a blastspeed hands and fingers
Hey dude, it's been 5 years. How did it go?
@@BEN-hl6yt you’re either gonna get reports of success, or a bunch of excuses, right? :-)
I’m just gonna remain silent… lol

It not ok, Dude! Your finger should not get numb. If my way isn't right for your body, try another way: ua-cam.com/video/NjBomsYDnZA/v-deo.html
Ben Woods alright, thanks :) keep up the great work
