This is actually insane. I was hovering 20-30 FPS in Vernworth throughout all my playthroughs, and now that I've tried this out I'm at 70-80. Wished they had this when the game launched but better late than never.
I agree that both techs are good, but bro, frame gen doesnt reduce input lag, if you had with dlls 30 fps and with frame gen you have 60 fps, then you will have same input lag as you had previously with 30 fps.. if u play shoot games, its not good.
@@arturaspf2566 Thankfully input lag doesn't really matter much in a single player game like this, but I don't think I've played a shooter game with as terrible of a performance as DD2 so I'm just glad the tech exist.
@@arturaspf2566Shooter games don't need frame generation. Shooters need LOW graphic settings, zero antialiasing, and 1080p to give you the max frames and least latency. Shooters USED TO based on training and skill. Now, it is about having a hardware advantage over other players.

I also noticed DLSS takes the load off of the GPU and puts it on the CPU. So, trade one for the other.* *I have a 14700K 20c/28t @ 5.6GHz for a processor, but this still concerns me.*

I assume it's only for gpu series 4xxx? and not working on 3xxx

awesome update i'm having 140+ frame at 1440p rtx 4070 super almost everywhere quality max settings
Anytime I enable frame gen my game crashes did you have to tweak any game settings?
@@seankelly2220 yes I just removed the .dll file that comes with reframework mod inside the game folder move it anywhere if you have it

anytime i enable frame generation my game crashes? on a 4070 super with no mods enabled
No crash for me
It doesn't work with reframe. Which you'd need to manually remove from your game folder.

I think you could even try with Ray tracing on
