  • This video gives an oversight into the actual Wheelhome Vikenze III-e XL camper conversion. Some items seen are optional including the "vegan leather" upholstery. Standard upholstery is grey cloth. You will see some camera mounts along the roof and elsewhere that are just for our Iceland tour.
A second rear seat is available that clips into floor mounts, making a four seater car for when you are not camping. All seats have three-point seat belts for travelling.
Model shown is a single berth with clothes locker that lowers from the elevating roof, however, a second adult bed can be ordered in lieu of the clothes locker, making a two berth with two single beds.
As a long-established but tiny company, it isn't practical for us to sell outside of the U.K. so we are U.K. sales only. We cannot possibly cover all the Vikenze III-e XL has to offer in a video so if you like what you see please make an appointment to come and see one in person.
What Motorhome Magazine has a two-page spread of this vehicle in it's October 2023 issue.

I'm a long-time fan of your work, and much prefer this roof clothes storage to the old moulded plastic one. Great to see you continue to develop what is a fabulous product!

What an ingenious use of space, and being able to access the toilet from the outside is very thoughtful too. I'm not yet converted to electric power but this is very interesting and thought provoking. A thoroughly good watch.

Thanks for your interest (in the toilet!) But well worth mentioning. Furthermore, it is very unusual in a micro-camper to even have a toilet, let alone one that can be used at night with the bed in place, as can all Wheelhomes. I was woken at 6am here today (in Iceland) by my neighbour opening their door to scurry across to the toilets. They should have got a Wheelhome! Watch out for specific EV video coming soon with stats and costs.

You’ll be pleased to hear that the charging points in Budworth Hall car park are Instavolt units!! I most certainly was when I had to go all that way to charge my Zoe!!

Yes Budworth Hall is almost on our door step, being in Ongar, Essex. Those four new Instavolt ones have been installed in the car park beside the High Street. This is a good placement of EV chargers whereby you can take a top-up charge and shop, even for 20 mins. Its not all about full-on charging every time. Thanks for commenting and hope you're enjoying the tour!

Hi Stephan, another informative video 👍 out of interest why do you only drive in Normal, and not Eco? Since I’ve had my Berlingo, I’ve only driven in Eco, and found it fine, must admit it has slowed me up. Love that shelf in the engine compartment even more 😊

Hi Anthony, in eco the heating is significantly redu ced and the power too, a little. Here in Iceland the occasional steep inclines, but more importantly, the cool temps mean i want to be warm and comfy so i use Normal. My experience is even in Power mode, it doesn't use more energy unless you exploit the extra performance available. Incidently, this is the same for my Tesla M3. So unlike ICE, you can have more power available all the time, without compromising "costs". I do prefer Normal to Power, also, as it has a nice "soft" throttle pedal. More vids to come soon in my "Ramblings".

Don`t recall a mention of range, only the positives. As we all know, in the real World, getting somewhere to charge in Britain, is a PITA.

Hi and thanks for watching our video. This video was created whilst "on tour" in Iceland, which involved a 900 mile trip to northern Denmark first to get the ferry (how far do you want to go?). I covered almost 3,700 miles in some pretty cool, windy and sometimes mountainous conditions. I spent the whole time in "Normal" drive mode (not Eco) with heating, air con and headlights (legal requirement there) on all the time. The camper returned a creditable overall efficiency of 3m/kWh (approx 140 miles). I go into range and efficiency in further detail in my video "Conversational Ramblings", see: ua-cam.com/video/zYdgGvSfHto/v-deo.html What Motorhome tested a SWB version in hot conditions and achieved 180 miles. Finding public charge points in the U.K. is not difficult at all, just use the Zapmap APP. Their filters are also very useful, for example, I like to select only Contactless payment Charge Points. We can also use quite a lot of Tesla Superchargers which are fantastic. Remember though, we are driving an electric Wheelhome campervan so I don't always need a Public Charge point as I charge up over night from the campsite Hook Up. This gives another great advantage in that whilst having breakfast I activate the "Climate" feature which turns on the heating and air con - clearing all windows and warms the EV battery, so when I start off everything is optimal.

Hi, For now you are in the minority of non complainers re issues here in Britain, either press, and friends or colleagues regarding charging the EVs.
With a couple of friends even saying they should have waited a couple of years, before buying. Which is what i shall likely do. Having driven twice into France/Spain in the last year, my 53 litre tank diesel vehicle gave me 550 miles b4 refilling. 180 miles is rather paltry, for EV inconvenience.
