Well done fella with the simplicity tools at hand. I do believe you will need new bearings. Welding next to a bearing will arc pit the ground race. The rim is ready for a tire.
Great idea. When you weld the spokes, it would be better if your weld current path did not pass through the unit's bearings as this may damage them. Thanks for sharing.
Let's say you make a rim with round spokes and put a 'wing' that can swivel around each spoke, with the swivel slightly ahead of the center of lift of the wing.
Now if each 'wing' is slightly spring loaded to go back to straight ahead/center; any cross-winds = forward thrust..! (slight)
Also crosswinds don't affect the bike as badly... even with the springs.
Same can be done to other parts of a bike.
I bet anyone here after all that welding and heat those hub bearings are trash!! I saw on one side of the hub the dust seal was already gone! Excessive heat + Bearings = Big trouble!! You truly have some talent buddy. You need to do some research on your work procedures to insure you make a quality product and nobody gets injured due to a failure with your work! Just a suggestion here that's all.

Yes.it makes the bearings brittle..but you change with the new ones before using it..
