This is not even wrong on like 3 different levels.
There's likely no observational basis to saying that there are seven states of consciousness. Chopra claims so because his goal is to make reality fit his preference of seeing things in light of Veda.
I am not sure you have a point. He claims the Veda as a source of inspiration. Perhaps I have misunderstood you.
