  • If you´re not interested in listening to me talk about the blind, just follow the timestamps below to get you to the parts you might find interesting!

11:34 - Things I would change about the blind
15:27 - How to disassemble the blind
17:15 - My Pros and cons list
I got in touch with Tragopan, asking them to lend me a blind for a couple of weeks in order to try out it since I didn´t know if I actually would use it if I were to buy one, as a response they offered be a 50% discount on the blind in return of me doing a small review on the blind itself.
My opinion in this review is my own and I will point out that there are some things which I don´t like about the hide and I´ll point them out in the video.

Before you start modifying your V6 you should know that you can open the top part of the door for your ‘panoramic’ view and Tragopan sell a large mesh window cover for the door specifically for that purpose. Also the eyelets at the top of each pole are to locate the poles for the optional rain cover. The guy attachment points are the tape loops a little lower down. Finally, it’s a good idea to keep the door zipped closed when you are erecting the hide as it keeps the shape better. I love mine!

Good video Andy! I agree with you regarding the narrow openings. You need to see what's going on outside without having to look through the camera. It looks quite easy to set up and also to fold it up. Thank you for showing the pro's and con's! By the way, beautiful forest, I love the all the moss on the ground!

Thank you so much for watching Gladys!
A buddy of mine pointed out that you could always use the door to get a wider field of view. Just open it up halfway and hang a net over, nothing I've thought of myself but it's worth mentioning!
It's really beautiful over there, early summer mornings the glade are just drowning in beautiful morning light!

Regarding bigger window You have the possibility to add mesh net to the door.

Thank you! It was to obvious when I recorded the video and still after using the hide more I would gladly have a bit larger ”window”. I’m used to using the hokki blind so I’m quite spoiled with large window 🤪

Thank you for watching! It’s a great hide for the money and there are improvements to be made but for a ”budget” hide it great! 😊

thanks for sharing . , pretty good problem is with bigger windows they light up who ever is in the blind . making any movement more noticed

Thank you Tom and you are properbly right.
Darker mesh might work to conceal you a little bit, need to experiment with my own blind and see if it works or not 😝

@@AndyGustavsson i bodged one up years ago but left the window a bit big .my girlfriend dropped some bits off and mentioned she could see me mooching and moving around . so i shredded my shemagh to scrim it off the less light the better , plus that reflective material to keep your heat from escaping to fast will seep out faster with bigger windows .. sitting still really doesnt help in the cold months

Does it fit a chair inside of the hide?

    • @AndyGustavsson
      @AndyGustavsson  Рік тому

It does, depending on what type of chair you have.
I use a camping chair, however it’s not the best solution for me due to the limited space for a comfortable session, I often find myself sitting up against the back of the hide in a very awkward position.
For long sessions I would get the extra vestibule or the monal which are a little bit larger than this. Hope it helps!
