How can a DA change a misdemeanor to a federal crime? Did I hear that right?
YES!
Dennis sees this kangaroo court involving the former president from a logical perspective not fom an emotional perspective.
Because, ideally, we should approach socio-political issues with a head of level logic while understanding our emotion is the driver of our need to speak and be involved.
Dennis pretty much always approaches things logically. That's one thing I really like about him and why I like to listen to what he has to say.
I'm not so sure about that. In this clip I see him using a lot of black and white thinking and making straw mans out of opposing arguments, while simultaneously referencing what should or should not be. He may not look look blatantly heated, but his words don't tell me doesn't mean he's running purely on rationale.
He is definitely bringing an emotional perspective. Like the whole reasoning that it's really dangerous to the survival of free society to hold presidents accountable to the law "unless it's murder" is not a logical perspective but a highly emotional one. Free society is not in danger becuase Trump was convicted and will pay a fine.
It was not a misdemeanor. It was a concocted charge.

For the record, the judge dictated to the jury that a unanimous decision was not necessary for Trump.
Its happened many times.. just not in the United States. But I'll tell you this Dennis.. these people will not stop unless an example is made of them. They can't be allowed to just get away with this, or any of the things they've done since 2016.

Its not falsifying books if you actual recording cash going out. Actually falsifying records involves fake revenue or unrecorded expenses. This was not the case. Any legal settlements are typically paid to lawyers, who in turn distribute the funds to their client. B/C lawyers get their cut first.

I think it's interesting that Democrats and Republicans both agree that Trump did everything the prosecution accused him of doing. We just disagree whether or not he should've seen consequences for it.
But since we do agree that Trump did all that stuff, I think it would be a good thought exercise to imagine the kinds of things you'd be saying about Obama if he did the exact same thing. If he cheated on his nursing wife with an adult film star and then paid her $130k to sign an NDA over it.
