Great Performance. I would have bought the K2700 a while ago!. Unfortunately we are unable to buy any Kurzweil products in Canada. There are no distributors in Canada for Kurzweil.
If you’re dedicated to the brand you’ll have to take the import duty hit. I’m not sure if a cross border trip will reduce the government’s take, but you’ll save a shipping fee at least.
You can keep an eye on Reverb too. Quite a few people get new boards and decide it’s not what they were thinking it was and flip it while it’s still basically new. Plus a Canadian seller will have taken the tax hit for you already.
Tackling Emerson is a task and a half. Great job Chris!

I do have one serious question for you, though, Chris: Where is Kurzweil marketing hiding all of its K2700 efforts and materials? I have to *try very hard* to find sales and marketing information for the K2700. Does Kurzweil not want the various global keyboard users' communities to know *what a monumental step up the K2700 is from the K2600 series? Kurzweil marketing has always been a bit of an enigma, but what they're not doing regarding the K2700 is, quite frankly, painfully ridiculous* .
Sorry I have no real input into the company marketing. They pretty much rely on their website, I suppose. I hear what you’re saying, though. It would do them a lot of good to promote artist who are using it, tips on Programming, and instructional videos. Along with additional demonstrations. Keep the faith it’s an excellent instrument!
Sounds like Chris used Audionamix to remove all the keys from the track. He then sampled the track without keys into the K2700, so he could play over it.
That’s exactly what I did using Moises app.

Chuck, do you think the 2700 is a good replacement for my long-in-the-tooth PC3K8? I want something with a more intuitive modern interface. The old board requires a person to be an RTFM nerd and I’d like a simpler setup for my daughter to use.
Also, Chris annoys me. He’s got sausage fingers like me and yet plays 1000x better.
