    I'm glad that you are starting from scratch with zero audience and no ads (because that's the boat I'm on) and that you being so transparent about what's working and what's not. I currently have 12 sales in my shop and I started getting sales after watching your content. I was so happy that you started this experiment as it's really been helpful.

    Hi, thanks for the video. Though I understand the reason behind not sharing the product and the shop, it would be nice to have some real world examples on how you do the research. I think we all can do some math and understand the ratio between demand and competition. Where most people get lost is the abundance of results and difficulty to pick the supporting keywords and tags. For example, if one has found that "ebook template" is what they want to make, how to find the rest 12 tags to put on Etsy and in the title? It doesn't have to be your item. There are thousands of items that you would not be interested in creating. Make your research on them. Right now, this video is just general talk, honestly.

      @@AlissaRose All I'm asking is some real life links. You're talking about this, making promises, claiming to have the golden ticket to reach 4K sales with an Etsy shop, but you're not actually showing anything; just a lot of hot air. You're avoiding the question. Attacking me for asking them. Why not share the link to your store? Why not show the products you're selling? These are not unreasonable questions; people could learn from that. Unless you're hiding something. Why this hostlity? If you have the golden ticket to optimizing an Etsy store, guaranteeing 4K sales, I'm all yours. But show me the products you're selling. Prove me wrong. For now you're using hard selling techniques to sell a dream, not a real business plan. In my country this is called fraud and it's illegal. Sorry but I think it makes sense she doesn’t show her store, it would clearly affect the experiment of building a new store from scratch because it would get traffic from her channel and instagram because of her and not because of her strategy necessarily if that makes sense? Also it seems like she is testing products that she did research for and I don’t think she should be obligated to show them? Everyone should do their own research to see what products they want to sell, she’s basically sharing strategy not doing it for you. Maybe this type of content is not for you then.😅

    • @AlissaRose
      @AlissaRose  3 місяці тому +13

      Hans, I’m not claiming to have the golden ticket. 4K is just my goal like I mention in the video. I’m just sharing my experience and journey. Sharing my shop link would drive lots of traffic to my shop just so people can take a look. That would hurt my conversion rate which would hurt my shops performance. In this video I mention I’m thinking of doing a workshop and that there is a link to a waitlist if people are interested. I guess we have a different definition of what a hard sell is. But I do run a business, so I’m going to talk about offers I have and offers I plan to create. That’s what businesses do. If this makes you uncomfortable then I stand by my statement, maybe this content isn’t for you. I hope you find a mentor or other resources that help you reach whatever goal you’re after.

      Hi Hans - I'm not sure how many other UA-cam content creators in this realm you have watched, but typically, they do not reveal their shops or products. I agree. When you are new to all of this, it can seem sketchy, but when you understand why they keep it under wraps, it makes perfect sense.
      Because Etsy is a marketplace, every store and every listing is at the mercy of the Etsy algorithm. If Alissa revealed everything, many viewers would go to her store to look but not purchase, artificially driving down her conversion rate. Because the Etsy algorithm weighs the conversion rate of individual listings, as well as the entire shop, driving a bunch of traffic to her store in that way would harm her business as well as taint the experiment she's conducting with the new shop.
      So, I would not interpret her reluctance to share that information with her viewers as a negative. She’s only protecting her business and maintaining the integrity of her experiment.

      This is what I’m exploring. I started on Etsy and then grew to an info product business. Both have their pros and cons but what I liked about Etsy was how I could be “behind the scenes” and still make daily sales. With my info product business I had to be the face of my business which can get exhausting. I’d like to make several thousand per month with both income streams so I can work on whichever one I’m feeling that day/season of life.
