    You can easily turn a head of iceberg or Romaine lettuce into a delicious hot side dish in less than 10 minutes. Stir fry the vegetable with just garlic and oyster sauce, and you're done. A light cooking completely changes the taste of lettuce.
    Ingredients
    1/2 pound (225 g) Iceberg lettuce or Romaine Lettuce
    2 stalks green onion
    2 cloves garlic
    1 tbsp oyster sauce or 2 tbsp chicken bouillon (or you can turn this into a vegetarian dish by using vegetarian oyster sauce and vegetable bouillon)
    1 tsp sesame oil
    Music: Summer Palace, written and recorded by G.Keese.

    I've been trying to eat healthier because my weight is causing me to experience very bad health issues, but I have a hard time eating raw lettuce because my body can't digest it and it causes bloating and discomfort. So I was looking into cooking it and I came across your video. Thank you for this. I'll definitely try it.

      Bloating is really common, especially when you are switching to a healthier diet. After a couple of months it will subside once your stomach adjusts to your healthier diet.

    Do you know of an oyster sauce that is vegan? or is there a substitute that would give a good flavor?

    What can be used in place of oyster sauce?

    • @FineArtofCooking
      @FineArtofCooking  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for watching. You can omit oyster sauce and use salt instead. The garlic and the heat will bring out the flavor of the lettuce.

    • @FineArtofCooking
      @FineArtofCooking  4 роки тому +3

      Thanks for watching. To change this to a vegetarian dish, I've written in the description box "1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce (or 2 tsp chicken or vegetarian bouillon)". You're free to modify the ingredients according to your own preference.
