I only recently discovered your channel and I love it. I've loved ID since I could talk, but I never wanted to go into the field b/c of too many expectations placed on us and our wallets as a whole. It's ONE of the many reasons I've fallen in love with your channel. I have found myself agreeing with so many of your points, and when I say this, please know, I say with the utmost sincerity: I suffer from depression and am currently in the hospital, and your vids have literally helped me so much. Your personality, charm and overall light is intoxicating. Just wanted to thank you, Garrett.
Thank you so much for sharing! I know you are going through a tough time, but I’m so honored and glad I can help make you feel a bit better. I know in life people say things which are easier said than done, but the greatest thanks to me would be for you to feel better enough to get back home to watch my videos from there! Have a wonderful holiday season! I want you to leave another message to let me and the LeChic family know when you get home. I’m sending you all my positive thoughts right now!🐕🐕🐶🐶🎄🎄
If you don’t want to changing your Furniture and Rugs often, then Quality and Comfort is the way to go, as it will be long lasting and still comfortable years to come.
Finaly found the switch....from German to Garrett s original voice!!! Phoooo....so much more charming!!!❤😂....and the much- needed- to- hear lesson : Quality over Quantity...is so important! ...aaand ..counting the lamps in my livingroom right now....7!!!! A light- situation for every mood!!!!❤❤❤ Garrett, You are always right!!!❤
I have leather furniture so I don't have throw blankets. I have two large dogs and the blankets would be on the floor faster than I can type this. I do have feather filled throw pillows with washable covers. My splurge was a custom made loveseat, all my furniture is either wood or other natural material but it wasn't ridiculously expensive. Three items came from Habitat for Humanity, one is vintage the other an antique with Knapp joinery. I didn't care for the old finishes so I refinished them. It sounds more difficult than it is, it takes time and is stinky but so worth the effort. And now I have 3 pieces of solid wood furniture for less than $500.
Finding a great art print that speaks to you is important. Most people don't know that if your print is an odd size (doesn't fit in an off-the-shelf frame size) you can go to a framing shop and have a custom mat cut for like $15 so you can put it in a bigger frame. It will elevate your piece more than you can imagine.
I got a 12ft x 14ft rug for 75$ by going to the carpet remainders section at Minards. I even went to the clearance area of that section for extra savings. Was it my first choice color; no, not even second or third choice but it's a massive "rug" that I got for 75$.
So glad to see you reinforce my own thoughts. I will put money into a great sofa, and dining chairs that let you linger in comfort over second cups of coffee and great conversation. Same with art; if I see something I love, I will try to find the money. But I’m delighted to see you don’t mind a washable rug, something I’m really considering as there can be mishaps with two little dogs. I think a clean, fresh, recently-washed rug is going to look (and smell) better than a hard-to-clean and slightly grubby expensive rug. I also like the idea of deciding to concentrate money one great accent piece like a chair and less on the coffee table, or vice vers. You can save money while actually achieving a better over-all design. Win/win. Also, you have made a lighting convert out of me-I recently found an amazing brass candlestick-style lamp in a thrift store for peanuts. Some elbow grease to bring up the rich metal glow, a new shade, and it looks as high-end as you possibly get. Love, love, love your episodes, such a great combination of both inspiration and commons sense.
Oh, good, @Garrett LeChic! Another video from you--yay! You always offer excellent ideas. Btw, I like finding vintage & antique treasures on eBay, too! Thank you for sharing your design insights, kind sir. 🙏🌿💐🌿😊💚😘🌿💐🌿🙏
Good Noon Garrett, Thank you for the vlog. Such an important one for that matter. Always a student of your interior classes:) Arden 🥰♥️ You have a wonderful week and will see you soon🤗
Thanks for that! I’m glad you enjoyed and thank you for adjusting your schedule to watch. You always go out of your way to watch even though you are on the other side of the planet in a completely different time zone. Your care and dedication is an influencer’s dream! Thank you, and see on the screen soon.
@ awww thank you so much, always a pleasure and yes it’s a commitment that I am happy to keep always:) Wishing you the very best in everything you do and may you always be more popular and prosper forever. Anybody else super tempted to send pics of your home to Garrett so he can gently roast you? But then again, you also don't feel the need because you already know what he's going to say😂
I would be very polite, but I’m not going to accept pictures for a roast. That’s just not my thing. What’s the sense of “roasting” a space if you are not going to actually have a back and forth conversation with the occupant to discuss how to make it better and not just what’s wrong. When people want specific decorating opinions regarding their space, I have the virtual consultation service at intro.co/garrettlechic 😊😊😊
is it a good idea to have 2 butterfly chair instead of sofa??... my new apartment's living room is compact... 9 x 12 feet... so i just got 2 leather butterfly chairs instead of sofa... it doesnt block light and wind, coming through the balcony and it has that minimal look... so do you think its ok or should i get a sofa?
I can’t give intelligent opinions regarding your questions without seeing the space, and having a discussion with you first. I’m glad to assist and invite you to book a virtual consultation with me at intro.co/garrettlechic All appointment times you see available are already shown in your time zone.
That is true. They can serve a functional as well as aesthetic purpose. I’m simply suggesting depending on the wear and tear they might get, one might want to consider how much is spent on a throw blanket and the delicacy of its material. I would not want to spend allot of money on a throw blanket that’s going to get a ton of wear and tear or that is made of a delicate material.🐶🐶
Now is the time to buy quality antiques, real wood furniture and timeless styles of accent chairs and side tables. Yes, these pieces can be mixed in with other styles to creat a curated home, much more interesting than bland look alike matching furniture. You can find beautiful quality furniture for a fraction if the price at antique malls, resale/consignment stores and facebook marketplace. Buy one or two pieces of real art rather than filling up space with cheap mass produced art, It just screams I have no real taste.
Just had the video start with a german audio track with an AI voice. How unplesant. Maybe if it had any emotion or interest in its tone and I if wouldn't understand a lick of english. But not like that. I hope that isn't the YT default from now on. Brrrr. Nice video once I switched languages btw. ;)
I couldn’t agree more - find good quality (at many price points) and use real art!
👍👍👍🎄🎄
I love your advice on those of us that have nice furniture but live a realistic life, Grandkids visiting, and my loved pups!
👍👍👍

Good advice!
I work in a printers, if you get your artwork printed on nicer paper it always looks more expensive.
Really appreciate you showing smaller rooms with a dining table. That’s what I have and it’s rare to find these more realistic picture set ups ❤
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for this great video ❤ Loved it 🥰
Glad you enjoyed it!
Authentic subject of competition pieces on home furnishings.
Yes! Along with original artwork I have bought from Fine Art online!
Excellent advice! Love that you not only give great design advice but also give tips on how to go about turning that vision into reality. 🌸⭐️

I thought throw blankets were for when you are cold or to add some color. Puppala is adorbs
