How To Restore Vintage Singer Sewing Machines?

How to restore vintage singer sewing machines? I asked myself this question a while ago.
My answer was get a sewing machine and some oil and go to it!
Of course restoring vintage sewing machines takes more than just a bit of oil, lol!
Maybe you just would like to learn to maintain and fix your machine(s).
START MAKING VIDEOS!! Even if you never publish them, you will need them to refer to in later months, years.
If you choose to restore vintage sewing machines maybe you will start this way also.
Acquire a machine on the cheap. Say $20.00 or thereabouts. That price was good for me because if I was unable to fix it, I was only out the twenty dollars.
That losing money proposition was faulty logic. This is how I remedied my thinking:
Take photos as you dissemble the machine. Take lots of photos.
Take videos. Take a few of them. This is how I was able to re-assemble these machines when I was a noob and didn't know where the parts belonged.
Stage the videos. For the complex operations this was necessary for me.
Go to UA-cam and find creators who have done similar restorations.
Get some service manuals. (Easier said than done).
START MAKING VIDEOS!!
NIICHE DOWN: Singer 400 series and 500 series sewing machines are my focus.
These machines will be in future video's as they each get their turn to be the best they can be.
In the next video I return to re-assembling Gina the Singer 500 J.
