They are twin turbo 4 valve engines. You run staggered motors to keep the drives close together, it makes a huge impact on top speed and keeps cavitation down in turns.
@Arthur West Well, you could, I mean you can shoe horn them in there side by side, but why would you? Another advantage is to get some weight going forward. You probably know this, but too much weight in the very back can create an annoying porpoise effect.
I really don’t thinks so. Having a 60 foot yatch is way more satisfying then this. I mean of course if you had the money and you enjoyed it. At the end of the day as Azimut s6 or flybridge blows this thing out of the water.

i feel the same, but i suspect one would instantly change his mind if allowed to drive it for a minute (of course you would be more immune to the spell if you didn't have the resources to maintain such thing)
Rode and drove quite a few of them. Was the 1st mate on a yacht about 20 years ago in North Beach Miami. The yacht never went anywhere but the owner had a "mini fleet" of speed boats tied up to it. 6 boats. Smallest was a 40 ft Magnum, 2 45's: Cary and something Italian, can't remember, a 50 magnum, a 60 and the Big Daddy a 70 foot Cary with 2 2200 hp mtu's with a 4500 hp Lycoming jet engine in the middle. That baby did 65 knots. Drove em around the intercoastals alot, mainly to the gas stations. :) Lots of fun pulling up to restaurants in those things. Yeah loads of fun, but litteral boatloads of money. Would take 30 minutes just to fill up one tank. The disposable income needed to keep these is in the stratosphere. So yeah, while being loads of fun there are really only a couple of things you can do with them, pretty impractical and tons expensive.
Victor Posner was the owner. He died on '03 I think. Founded Arby's and RC cola along with being a leveraged buyout prick. Main reason I quit is because of the insanity all around him. That kind of money makes people crazy.
nice boat, if they ever make a re-run of "the italian job", but on water, this is the boat they would replace the mini's with :-)))) ; next time can you review a boat like this, BUT with afterburners or rocket engines?
