Man, I can practically feel that VTECH in my bones from this side of the screen. And those buttery-soft shifts! It's videos like these that make me question Honda's judgment and stewardship of its greatest nameplates. The Integra was well-loved and, beyond its healthy sales numbers, had a thriving enthusiast crowd. So, what did Acura do? It canceled it. Ditto for the Acura Legend. And the Prelude, CRX, S2000, and of course the legendary NSX. Some of these had alphabet-soup replacements, some didn't, but in any case Honda/Acura let them die. It's sad when the suits have more say than the engineers or, for that matter, the people who love (loved) their cars.
What a gem!! The 90’s were Hondas golden era and I am so glad that I got to live in it and experience it from owning a few back then. I could listen to that engine and V-Tech crossover all day long!! True car porn for an enthusiast. They’ll never make them like this again and it’s sad. 😍😍🔥🔥🏁🏁

Yes, new cars are safer, more efficient, blah blah blah. But this is what driving is all about. VTEC baby.
I love integras. I own one. But keeping it stock is something I’ll never do. The whole point is that you can modify the cars and they just work perfectly. A built integra is just as enjoyable as a purist one
Cute little deer running away at 3:50! Wonderful video on the ITR - thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to see you behind of the wheel of the NSX!
one of the best sounding 4cylinders of all time
the sound of that engine is amazing!
omggg, the video i’ve been waiting for 😮💨, integra!!!
Omg the NSX is so beautiful 😭
Didn't expect the door and start-up beeps to be the same as my 2004 Civic
They used that chime for decades since the 80s up until 2012.
The key in door open 4 beeps is Morse code for “H”.
the Integra has literally always just been a sporty Civic
I had one👍 Golden age of Honda.
Had a 99 gsr with a type r trans. Car was one of my favs.
danng, i miss my 01 Gsr Supercharged. i still think about it till this day. good ol'days. currently driving a M4.
This was just a masterpiece of an engine
I daily drove a 95 Integra GSR for a few years until i got my mazdaspeed3. was such a fun reliable little car! shouldn't have sold it.
Thats every 90s kid dream garage right there
Clicked for the type r, smiled even more after seeing Red Dead mentioned
When are you gonna drive a 97-2001 Honda Prelude? I really hope you get a video on it. The H22A4 is such an underrated engine from this era of Honda.
Had a 99 itr 'canadian year'. 4 track days every summer month. Time flies. 110k km happy mile.
Best fwd ever made
Beautiful car!! Awesome video as always. Appreciate hearing your thoughts on the ITR. Would love to drive one one day to compare to my EK9 since they’re very close cousins. If anything, this video tells me VTEC is intoxicating in both!
This car is one of the GOATS….. 90s legend…. TOP 10 in the era….
no way ily topher
Hearing Vtec is the same as when you can finally hock that loogie out of ur throat...then go fast.
I had a 1998 type r I bought from Carmax in Irving Texas. Loved it, but eventually moved on to an NSX. Fast forward to this era, I bought a pre-owned FK8 type r a few years ago. And wow. Love my 98 Integra, but compare to my fk8, yeeeaaahhh .. makes my old type r feel like a mx7 😅
Those are modest numbers for that motors capabilities
Man, I can practically feel that VTECH in my bones from this side of the screen. And those buttery-soft shifts! It's videos like these that make me question Honda's judgment and stewardship of its greatest nameplates. The Integra was well-loved and, beyond its healthy sales numbers, had a thriving enthusiast crowd. So, what did Acura do? It canceled it. Ditto for the Acura Legend. And the Prelude, CRX, S2000, and of course the legendary NSX. Some of these had alphabet-soup replacements, some didn't, but in any case Honda/Acura let them die. It's sad when the suits have more say than the engineers or, for that matter, the people who love (loved) their cars.
bravo!! One of the best cars I've ever owned. If only Acura can recapture this magic....
What a gem!! The 90’s were Hondas golden era and I am so glad that I got to live in it and experience it from owning a few back then. I could listen to that engine and V-Tech crossover all day long!! True car porn for an enthusiast. They’ll never make them like this again and it’s sad. 😍😍🔥🔥🏁🏁
Great video. As a 2005 NSX and 2004 S2000 owner I always wanted to drive a Type R. 10 years ago these were $15k cars. Everytime I found one, they always were previously stolen, etc. I would still like to buy a clean one someday, make mine Phoenix Yellow.
Did you remember to calibrate the TPMS, set the navigation for the trip, make sure LKAS and CMB is on, make sure traction control is on, test the frequency response of the audio system, set the Ethanol content flex fuel sensor for the applicable fuel locally available to you?
My Integra gets spicy on E85 🌶️
Best sport compact if it’s time
My first car back in 2006 was a 95 green 4dr integra GSR. Dreamed of TYPE Rs back around that time. Test drove a type R around that time that was selling for 15k which I thought was crazy amount of money but man do I miss that 6k vtec crossover.
How far have cars regressed since peak Honda. The visibility in this gen was phenomenal. Hearing the VTEC cam switchover was sublime.
Now that's a beautiful car!
Exited for another nsx video
Cool seeing you guys up in the Lansing area! Wish you would've turned right off 127 to DeWitt to show off my hometown!!
Beautiful and awesome Honda. I'd love to pick one up someday
Can’t wait for the new honda nsx video 🙌
Every JDM fan boys dream Honda!
love that old school vtec cracking open...sounds as good as my 8th gen si k20 or better
Almost bought an Integra Type R in '99. Got the 5th Gen Prelude in '99 then S2000 in 2021.
The stock b18c type r is such a raw feeling. Something my k24 ITR lacks is the sound and rawness. Even though the k24 is faster, the b18c in a stock ITR is a purer driving experience
need to compare a k24.to a k20.and b18c5 in a itr is a hell more quick then k24.in a crv or tsx
@renaldoharris7951 yeah definitely, in terms of speed k24 is definitely a superior engine overall but I still have love for the b18
Had a 95 GSR with an intake. Still miss it.
i rode in the back seat of a type r when my dad test drove a new one in the dealership. it was cool but her got a prelude sh which was also cool
