Actually... probably not. She views War as a tool. A way to weed out the weak so that the Strong can take control of the world again. People who will actually act instead of run and hide. So that no one else has to suffer through a Warborn Raid pillaging their homes and slaughtering their family while a cowardly Lord hides in his castle.
She doesn't want endless war. She wants people who will take action. She has no true rage in her heart, only a want for there to be more courage in the lands.

She'd likely be one of them. Though she may be one of the Undivided types. Khorne is an obvious fit, but she's too subtle for his liking.

She is singleminded in her determination to wage a war to end the world, a war where only the most cunning, the most ruthless, and the most powerful remain to fight. Her goal is a pinnacle of conflict. Something Slaanesh would be more than happy to sink h(is/er) talons into. And again, she's far too calculating for a Khornate devotee. Her want is philosophical, intellectual. She herself is not in it for the sake of the bloodshed.

Imagine if you could replay missions using any characters of the same faction, for example; Replaying a Knight Story mission and using a Conqueror or Black Prior, or a Samurai Mission using Shugoki or Kyoshin. That would have been dope

it is, inside here are just some story scenes and cinematic angles for in game footage, i've played the alpha and i can confidently confirm this, they look identical, both the trailer and alpha footage

Derrick Haggard I see what you mean, but in her perspective. Great empire ideals of peace never suffice, most wars are for diplomacy, and to unarmed the enemy.
True which means in my character's perspective Apollyon is nothing more then a coward whose cowardly tactics led to the deaths of innocent men, women, and children who didn't deserve to die. And will once her deception is revealed pay that bloody price. Because Apollyon's goal is to unleashed the wolves and she will pay the price for doing so.

Every time I rewatch this trailer, I always get chills when the raider yells "VALHALLA!" and the way the music tones down when the warden says "I took an oath to fight for peace."
seems like Apollyon is someone who wants what's good(for countries and their armies to be strong) but is willing to cause war to do it...very interesting points of view.

Villains like Apollyon are my favorite kind:
No sad backstory, no tragic misunderstanding
Just a firm believer in survival of the fittest, and wants only to be its agent
Huzzah and hooray! Someone that figured out the story. Due to her village being raided by the Warborn because the lord that was supposed to protect her village decided to hide in his castle instead, her family was killed. It caused her to see the world as Wolves and Sheep. People who would run and hide at the smallest sign of conflict, and people that will take action.
She views the war as a tool to weed out the weak. She genuinely believes that she's doing the world a favor.
That trailer was actually pretty hype.
This game looks great. I love the characterization of Apollyon - she's a villain who wages war and she doesn't need a "reason" why, but the name she chose also imbues her with this kind of biblical, Armageddon harbinger shtick. This trailer was well cut and I love the inclusive nature of it. Among this, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Watch Dogs 2, and a few other indie Ubisoft games like Child of Light, I'm really digging the direction Ubisoft is going.

You should. All of them. Although the Witcher 1 is maybe a bit too dated nowadays, they're all amazing games. And the thing is, they get better with each game, so the third (and last) game is the best and also a real masterpiece.

This looks epiccccc. This trailer is so good. I really like how they make these cinematic trailers. Warlord Apollyon is very interesting to me. Some say that there was a trailer or something about her past that may have motivated her to do all this ? I am not sure. I do not remember running into it.
I really hope the campaign is very well-fleshed out and decently long. Co-Op is an option for it, too ? Yayyyy.
I like the voice actors for these characters that have spoken in this trailer as well. I hope to see more cutscenes like these, and more interesting events.

That'll happen at the end and it'll be awesome to unleash upon Apollyon a wolf's vengeful fury cause if she wants to unleash the wolves she has to be ready to pay the price.

I think it's safe to say all the factions are going to turn against Appolyn but my question is who are we going to play on the last mission to kill her ? I'm guessing whatever faction you chosen at the start of the game a hero from that faction will do it

At the beginning of the trailer, her reason for starting the war seems just on the surface, but eventually it turns to madness. Her lust for war becomes more about obsession rather than survival. Interesting character; looking forward to learning more about her.

Agreed Apollyon wants to unleash the fury of wolves by using dishonorable tactics to pit three different packs(Metaphor for the three factions) against one other she'll learn that cowards like her pay a high-cost bloody price for using such tactics when the deception is revealed.

This trailer gives me goosebumps. The setting, the art direction, the presentation - is exactly what I expected from a medival game like For Honor. The great soundtrack in this piece of art helps a lot as well. Great trailer!
Ubisoft nailed it with Apollyon. Just enough characterization to understand her motivation, but not so much that it destroys her near-mythical status (either for the player/reader OR the in-universe characters).
Apoyllon is another spelling for the Hebrew word abbadon, a name of an angel who resides over an army of locust and whose very being is synonymous with destruction.

Even now, this is one of the bestest game trailers out there for a game
I wonder if Apollyon is supposed to signify the chaotic, twisted and corruptness of their world. I remember awhile back that the warriors were about to stop fighting but she shot an arrow into one provoking the battle to start anew. I wonder if she has a tragic back story, twisted stance on strength surviving, or is a different "being" than the others. This makes me prepped and ready to take her down.
Same here everyone fights and goes to war for different reasons at first it was a war just for survival. And then seemingly 1000 years later after the world healed the Iron Legion(Knights), The Eastern Dawn Empire(Samurai), and the Warborn(Vikings) started making the attempt to living in peace and focused on defending their own but Apollyon sees that as weakness so in her own twisted mindset she believes by tricking them into going back into war with each other the factions can become strong again. In a sense get rid of the sheep who represent the ones who don't want to fight and unleash the wolves who represent the ones who are willing to fight.

Only thing I need to confirm is that Apollyon is indeed a human woman.

The splitscreen stuff won't make it to the game...They confirmed that one. Anyway, I won't buy any Ubisoft games, ever again.
vs Straightflush they confirmed that you can't play split screen ONLINE, like for example in Rocket League when you play co-op with a local friend against 2 or more others online, in for honor you can still play the campaign and against bots in split screen

Nah, take the Shugoki and Valkyrie as examples. Shugoki can only be male whilst the Valkyrie is locked to female.
