Using the water ogrepon can significantly help this matchup as long as they don't bench manaphy in time. You can take 2 prizes like iron hands ex but with 2 knockouts instead and you protect the legacy energy when attacking and shuffling back into the deck.
but then they can ko Chops and you have few, if any energy onboard as you shuffled them back in. Hands requires them to answer it straight away or lose.
They take a big risk that I don't take 2 more prizes with ogrepon again as long as I have 1 chops left. The issue with iron hands is that they can enhanced hammer the iron hands and take out chops and that's difficult to come back from
I am wondering why wouldn't you play down mesagoza before playing ultra ball? If you played it and then got a head on the flip you could have searched for another archeops and then ultra 2 away. Good video enjoyed the gameplay.
Adding to this, why would he even play down Mezagoza when his opponent clearly had a bricked opening hand, obviously it’s a test game, but in the spirit of true competition, I would have not played anything that could help my opponent
@@pokemoncollector2676 I see your point friend. Personally I was thinking if he got the roll and got an archeops then you be able to ultra ball away 2 of them. I do understand your point of view though. Appreciate the input friend.
18:28 wouldn’t it have been better if Jake saved the vessel to have a better chance at finding more energy? Then use vessel later because he had an ultra ball in hand
This new meta is weird. I really don’t think dragapult is that good. It’s dead to c Pao, which is under played in Japan, is also auto loses to Blissey, and Miraidon Call me crazy but I still think charizard is gonna be deck to beat this meta in the USA.
@@Evanicia Not really. Have you tested? I tested fifty games over the weekend. Dragapult lost most of them. Dragapult actually lost ALOT vs most of the decks we tried. I’m telling you the straight list with xatu is not that good. I’m finding a lot of people are just looking at the city league lists and not even testing yet, while making assumptions. I did 10 hours of testing Saturday AND Sunday in my play group. What did you find in your testing that would make you say otherwise? How many games was it? Also it’s bad vs gardevoir as well because of munkidori
@@nickfanzo From my testing with Dragapult you really need neo upper and pidgeot ex to even hold a candle to Charizard’s consistency (which is important because pinging 60 is only relevant if you can swing T2) With the Xatu build that was nearly never happening. Also finding it crazy how slept on Lugia is with wellspring ogerpon ex
@@sampeeters2935 Lugia is tier one IMO We play tested against chein Pao 50 games Record was 34-16 c Pao All dragapult testing was done with the straight Xatu list with unfair stamp as ace spec
@@RichardMaltz86 I assume that strat only works well if you have Aroma in the build (and haven't prized it), as you can't Arven > Tm Evo anymore. I get the purpose, but seems really risky.
I play gardevoir too and adding a second Earthen vessel helped a lot

Hum... Its just me or this gameplay is wrong from the start? Playing carmine as second and using mesagoza at the end of everything?

Orgepon wellspring would have been nice in this match up too
I’m here for the lugia gameplay 👀👀👀🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
what would we replace for roseanne's backup?
What’s the brand and color name of the orange sleeves? Those are sweet
Whats the name of the dragon shield sleeves on the logos deck?
use irida insted of arven is useless, u need tm evolution
The tower field that blocks tool is soo much better than Mezagoza
Also Water Ogerpon in Lugia is so so good and even better against Gardy
Carmine doesn’t shuffle
Tool jammer + roseanne's backup FTW!
👍🏼
Tool jammer rotated
@@astrats9281 I think he means the new jammer stadium

I play Tina and Gardevoir so if you’re right I’m gonna need to find space to put TM Devo in my list lmao
Dragapult is favored into chien pao

This guy can’t play lugia😂
As a Lugia player myself, I think he did pretty well.
why do they put 4 irida than 4 arven?
Probably to get Greninja or Manaphy down early or when needed. They can probably draw into tools easily with Kirlia

You can’t look at your prize cards
You can’t in an official tournament, it speeds up testing and practice to check prizes at the beginning of the game.
🤣
